"When you're in ICU they're not going to ask which eye bucked ya off" 😄 I'm not a rancher or ranch hand, but this( and all your videos) are interesting and informative. Really enjoy them.

As a 6th generation Floridian and 5th generation Cowhunter, glad to hear Mr. Puckett knows his history...while we have a hybrid of the Spanish and English cattle raising traditions, we lean more to the English heritage and most of our horses aren't as well trained as y'all's...if you've seen the Vaquero Series video on Florida Cowhunters, I'm the poet featured in the video...

Even if you're not planning on being a roper, great way to make a safe horse. Thanks Pat and Deb.

I have said it before but I could listen to Mr. Pat all day. Great sense of humor! My education is still ongoing but man it would have come a bunch faster if I could have been exposed to him at a young age. I have some dvd's that he appears in and was wondering if he would consider being a clinician or if he has been in the past? There is a lot of knowledge coming from Mr. Pat and it needs to be out there for the world. I do personally like this format the most. I find a break in the day and sit down to watch and listen when nothing else is going on. Feels like one on one this way. Oh, and in western Kentucky, 1 cow for every 3 acres if rotating and that is a year round operation. I probably just had half of your annual precipitation in the last few days. Thanks for your huge part Mrs. Deb.

Our SW Louisiana capacity is 1 cow/calf unit per acre. In the 50's Jeff Davis Parish boasted more momma cows per acre than any other parish or county in the US. Every acre was fenced. Cattle were rotated annually with rice. My dad and I were both president of our parish Cattlemen's association (yrs apart - I'm 72 now). The cow calf enterprise has given way to Crawfish production. We can raise 1,000 pounds of crawfish per acre (best years). Prices start at 4 dollars per pound in November (low supply though) to one dollar in June. We now rotate rice with crawfish. Instead of Quarter Horses our hands now ride airboats. We will farm 600 acres of rice and flood the rice stubble to raise 600 acres of crawfish (1,200 total acres). Love your tapes. Oh, we still run some black momma cows and still feed a few good horses. Really like your ways. I wish I had been smarter about starting my colts back then.

Your channel has taught me so much! I didn’t come from a horse background but I married into it. 3 years later at 34 years old I decided I enjoyed riding enough that I want more out of it. I’ve started to take up roping and actually bought a horse for myself and am also working with teaching him the rope. He is 6 and was never roped before. This video and the roping video that explained how to split the loop are so full of good info! Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

Watched many of your videos and i have to say: All your horses are very beautiful! Very classical, working-style but not so over-muscle-packed like those show-quarter-horses. Like them.
