- Brown bears, wolves, lynx, eagles… where in Europe are these carnivores still regular inhabitants? Where can you find mountainous regions that yet wait to be discovered by mass tourism? Just where is this place where untamed rivers run through endless alluvial forests, where eagles, storks and all kinds of rare flowers thrive? In Slovakia, in the eastern part of Middle Europe, untouched wilderness and an astonishing fauna and flora still exist.
The Slovak Republic - bordering Austria, Hungary, the Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic - lies in the heart of the European continent. Slovakia features natural landscapes, mountains, medieval castles and a surprisingly large biodiversity. The film “Wild Slovakia” stops at all the top wildlife spots and habitats of this fairly small country. With 49.000 square kilometers (19.000 square miles), it is only a little bigger than half the size of Scotland.
In Slovakia you can meet the large mammals such as deer, bears and wolves, the large birds of prey such as the Golden eagle, the Imperial eagle and the Common buzzard. But have you ever heard of the Blue slug or the Tatra chamois? Small predators such as the Ant-lion with its deadly trap, playful ground squirrels within the old walls of Spiš Castle and the European bison on the Ukrainian border are just some of the special cast of this film.
Am from Kenya our seasons are different we don't experience harsh weather between 18° and a Max of 32°Celcius very pleasant. But this is Very beautiful to behold.Very nice. Gods Country. Nicely done

A beautiful documentary. In Brazil we know almost nothing about the geography and nature of Slovakia. I know that this country was part of Czechoslovakia and belonged to the former USSR. And I followed the Velvet Revolution in the press, a staging of peaceful political change in a way very similar to the Carnation Revolution that took place in Portugal in 1974.

Im at 35:00 minutes already and haven't seen a wolf yet. That was one of the reasons I watched this. And you only showed the bears for a few seconds. Wolves are my favorite animal and I love watching them. A lot of people think badly of them. I wish more people would just educate themselves about wolves. They are not the Big Bad Wolf as we have been told.

The video is good overall, but your whispering tone is nearly unbearable. Are you afraid of startling the animals or something? What’s wrong with you?
The voice is similar to David Attenborough's voice, it is not whispering. Most people like and appreciate such voice. Perhaps you can turn off the sound, use some commentary from your favourite comics or just some music instead.

It is a very pleasant, melodious voice, not whisper. Sure is different from the typical voices from comics - as it should be.
