Hello, once fired, copper clay is a solid copper metal so over time, it will naturally tarnish like any other copper. You can always polish it, or to prevent this process, seal it with ProtectaClear or Renaissance Wax. Thanks for watching!

Hi Mary, copper clay requires carbon firing, meaning it must be fired in a kiln. We do not recommend torch firing copper clay. Hope this helps!
