- For those of you who will be arriving international at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol this is what you can expect to see when going through processing. I found the Amsterdam airport AMS and connecting train station to be very efficient fast and very amazing. One of the best airports I have ever been too for travel international arrivals. I arrived on a KLM Boeing 777 from JFK.

I am travelling to Amsterdam next month and I am wondering if US/Canadian citizens can use automated immigration control eGates when they exit the Netherlands (or other EU country) to non-EU country (like flying back to the US). I see conflicting info on whether US/Canadian citizens can use automated immigration control eGates from certain EU countries. Thanks.

🙂 All arrivals at Schiphol airport are international; there are no domestic flights within the Netherlands. (flights from/to Bonaire are even considered non-Schengen). Yet a nice video!

@@akritsovas You may consider them domestic, but they are not. They remain international, even within the zone.

Schiphol, Charles De Galle, Atlanta Hartsfield are my favorite Airports. Schiphol is very disabled friendly and I was able to take the train from the airport to Amsterdam central station with no problems, and my hotel was right next to the station as well.
Very important for airports to be friendly to disabled super important I agree with you 💯

How much time did you have to make your 2nd flight from AMS. I will be flying from JFK to AMS then AMS to Barcelona and I am wondering if 3 hours and 30 minutes is enough time to complete the security and transfer process.
@@micahgivens8701 3 hrs. Yes that is plenty of time. I somehow did not have security during transfer. I was connecting to a KLM flight bound to Delhi
@@vignesh7989 since you were just transiting in ams, did you have to ho through the passport control or you went straight to your other flights gate?

Hello, thank you for your video. May I ask when you enter in end apr, did you need to show any covid testing results to the custom? Or is it just normal passport check? Asking for some friends come visiting.
And the airport looks cleaner than usual in your video.
I got back from the US on April 28th and a test result was no longer necessary.
What about does who live there but are going back...do they go through passport clearance again or immigration
Thanks. Best video to show how to get around AMS. We have flight from the US with a connection to London and final destination to AMS. Do you go through customs before you pick up your luggage? I think you stated you went through the passport clearance and then picked up your bags. Thank you.
Yes but that was my final destination, but if you are doing a layover you might not need to go through passport control.

Basically all the checks are done before you even get onto the airplane. So after arriving, you just go through passport control/immigration, get your luggage, go through customs and out into the central hall of the airport. On my flight to and from the US back in April, I was never once asked to show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test result (officially needed to enter the US). Of course, all that information was already linked to me through my passport and BSN, comparable to the US SSN 🙂
I believe the airport is pronounced SKIP-uhl. Suprising that there are no dutch signs

They dont have egate self service passport control for US Passports upon arrival?
No, only on departure

Passport control services in this airport is terrible. I was waiting more than 1 hour. They are so lazy and slow.
