We did something similar, but used a 3 part water to 1 part chlorine solution. It also worked very well at cleaning and brightening the cedar planks.
Yours is the third video I've watched about doing this. Yours is by far the most instructional -- for me anyway. Thanks!
Thank you. You're very kind.
What a great video! We couldn't have done better ourselves. Thank you for sharing our cleaner with your audience.
Thanks! I'm so grateful for your amazing product and that you liked my video. Please feel free to share it as you wish. Like I said, if I can do this, anyone can!
Looks great ty
Thanks for sharing will try you suggestion .
I really enjoy your videos and, I have to tell you, you have a newscaster voice. It’s so calming to listen too. Hope to see you at the class reunion. August 29th unless COVID chases it until next Spring.
Thanks, Debbie. It's all great fun. I hope to be at the reunion, whether it's in August or next Spring. See you then.
Thanks!
Great job. 👍🏻
Yep..thanks..I have moved to a fence that needs lots of t.l.c…
I’m a chic and I’m feelin manly! Thx for the tip... heading out to clean my fence. : )
Go for it, Meg!
Will this work on a painted fence that sorely needs repainting?
This will clean dirt, but I'm not sure if it will remove old paint. You may need to use a powerwasher for that, depending on how much old paint needs to come off. If it's already pretty barren from the old paint, you may be fine. I don't know if they sell smaller bottles, but you could always try a small section of the fence first. Good luck.
Did you put a sealer on after you cleaned it?
Yes, I stained it with Ready Seal. See the video at czcams.com/video/YvMYwCE-PPE/video.html
@@familymomentsfun thanks
If the other side of the fence was stained and you clean the other side ,will it affect the stained side?
Good question. It might. I'd proceed with caution.
But will this bleach hurt ur plants or grass??
It didn't for me, but I don't have any plants along my fence, and little grass under the fence.
I'm glad I don't have a wooden fence. But thanks anyway Robbie.
You such a faithful fan of the channel. We'll feature you someday, if I can figure out what you're good at.
it's worth renting a power pressure washer. it would have sped up the work
You forgot to wet the fence before doing this!!!
I'm going to list how many things you did wrong in this video.
1. You didn't presoak the fence.
2. You didn't presoak the grass in front or behind the fence.
3. You never ever add water to chemicals, it's always chemicals to water. The bottle even says that on the back.
4. In 5 minutes that solution you made would have dried. You don't let bleach dry on wood. Add 1/2 cup of gain laundry soap to that bottle, it will keep it wet for at least a half hour.
5. 30 Second Cleaner is anywhere between 20-30 bucks a gallon. The way you're going it will cost you $100. Buy dollar store bleach if that's the route you want to go, and save yourself about 95 dollars.
6. You spent 20 bucks on bleach but 8 bucks on a pump sprayer? That thing isn't even meant to spray bleach. It will be starting to rust before you're even finished.
Take this video down dude... You haven't the slightest clue what you are doing. Your next video should be about reseeding the lawn you just destroyed.
I want to do this, and stain my backyard fence / seal it maybe a 2 in 1 from
Home Depot. I have a pressure washer. Besides what you posted, what is easiest / simplest step. It will take me a full day. It’s a lot of fence to tackle. Will bleach dry rot the fence faster? Looking for the cheapest / easiest solution. Not against pressure washing to fully strip at the end, but if it’s easier to just pressure wash the entire thing I can do that too.
Not sure how to spray with bleach but if I didn’t buy a sprayer and it will last my fence line I’d throw it away afterwards. What’s your thoughts?
Wow $35 for this? Same thing can be done with regular bleach and water!
Is that safe for grass ?
@@stayunknown997 never bothered my beautiful lawn!
@@gosman949 I will try it . How much bleach and how much water.. equal parts ?
@@stayunknown997 Try about 1/3 bleach to water and see if that is strong enough. And be sure and wear clothes that you don't mind bleaching out. I made the mistake of wearing good shorts, and I ruined them.
@@gosman949 Thanks for the advice, can i paint or stain after using this mix dry ?
