Amazing video. I'm in my late 50's and I worked on cars and airplanes, but I never really knew there was proper way to wash a bike. I've always old schooled it by slopping soap all over it, blasting it with a water hose and overlubed the chain with too much oil. I've even recently purchased a Park Tool maintenance stand, and the home mechanic tool set and dummy hub. I'm living proof that old dogs can be taught new tricks...🤣

Old toothbrushes are good replacements for those tools, it just takes longer to wash.
A nail brush with an used kitchen sponge on top can replace the chain cleaning tool.
A bar or rope to hang your bike, or simply leaning it against a wall replaces the stand.

It's critical for you to learn and practice what many people call square breathing, or controlled, purposeful breathing technique.
It begins without relaxation of your diaphragm. Consontrate on exhaling completely while, as much as you can maintaining a relaxed diaphragm, then you take in a smooth, full breath through your nose.Hd that breath for a count of 4, exhale completely in a rhythm that ends on a count of four. Relax counting to 4, then repeat the process. It will take a bit of patience and practice, but eventually you'll easily find your bodies own rhythm, so your square breathing doesn't leave you out of breath, or where you're hyperventilating.
Trust me, this worked like magic for me, and others I've suggested to try it. The real key, and critical to success is to close your eyes and RELAX YOUR DIAPHRAGM. Think about "becoming your breath".
The Buddhist Monks have been doing this for centuries so there's something to consider about it.
With practice i give you my word, if you are serious about it and keep trying to relax (total relaxation of your neck and face seems key as well), use as little muscle movement as possible (even in the way you change from inhaling through your nasal passage to exhaling out your mouth, with as little movement in your mouth), I'm as sure as I can be, you will eventually reach a point where YOU are in control, not your emotion...
Please try, try, try! Pass this on, share it with your friends and family.
Good health to you, and blessings on your adventure.

Love this, but seriously.... I only had a yellow dish sponge, a common garden hose with no nozzle and a dry pair of rags (one for wiping off the chain, and one for wiping off the rest of the bike)
    1) Set your bike up against a wall or put down the kickstand
    2) hook up the hose and place your thumb over half of the end of it to produce a slightly pressurized stream.
    3) quickly hose the whole bike including chain, everything. Get off all large pieces of dirt and leaves from every corner.
    4) quickly take rag number one, wipe every part of the bike starting from the wheels until mostly dry.
    5) then take sponge, get sponge completely wet, squeeze once, use soft side to get the rest of the dirt from all over the bike.
6)squeeze sponge till completely void of water and dab the bike clean.
    (Quick cleaning above)
    (Deeper clean instructions below)
    7) get on bike, ride forward and shift chain to highest front wheel gear, lowest back wheel gear, apply rockstar gold lube(cleaning plus lubricant wet lub if don't have) by dripping it on chain from lowest back wheel gear while you spin the chain. Then let spin for few seconds, then take rag two and hold the chain on the bottom by the back wheel shifting mechanism then spin chain while holding it, pull chain through the rag, repeat till you think its clean enough.
    8) Apply lube as in step 7, but this time, let chain spin till it stops dripping lube on the ground, pull full chain length through rag like twice as in step 7. Take bike somewhere and let sit for 2 hours for maximum effect(doesn't matter though)
This should take you like 25 minutes on your first try and 10-15 minutes on all others depending on how dirty everything is.
    You're Welcome. ;D
(Do what is in the video for deep deep cleaning) should do when super dirty or after like a month of bike riding on regular roads no weather conditions)

It is best to blow dry with an air compressor. At least wipe with a dry rag, and then lubricate with a chain lube, no need for the water displacer.
