- In this video i tell you just how much my 600+ WHP turbo 370z build cost was. This video was for sure depressing at the same time interesting. It was expensive but to me I think it was worth it. This Z will forever be my project car.

just make racing videos
@@stevinnissan8355 I like where your head is at!
Make a video on the drivability, how much of a better driver do you have to be? Or do a quarter mile run or just show it off on a montage video running down a mountain....
You got the best build I’ve seen!!!!
@@dominantmonarch48 ohhh I like those. I will remember those.
The way I see it is this car still costs less than a new hellcat and it’s way faster so it’s a win in my book lol
Hell yeah brother!
Right and the car payments are ridiculous
DemigodQ60 ! Man two best options are 5.0 stang an 370z all the way!
TURBO the 5.0 is pretty trash ngl. I’ve been nothing but disappointed since I bought mine. I envy my brothers Z it’s so much more fun and reliable
Din Miftari hmm... I wondered if you’re right! What issues have you had?
A lot of people like to be secretive with how much they spent on their build. Cheers for putting it all out there 👍🏼
I've noticed. I see no reason to hide it.
Cuz it's embarrassing
DuncanL7979 How?
Because it is expensive as crap. High HP build of 900hp, 70k.
Exactly and I dont know why
If i had 20k+ yeah i would put it on my 350z
Worth every penny. I can't think of a better build. This thing will eat up most V8's.
Skip to 9:25 for the number
Thank you :D
thanks g
Thank you! You the mvp
Damn sound like I need to get a second job if I wanna boost my Z 😂, dope video and build though.
Lol it was more than I thought. Thank you!
It was a lot of money to build the car the way you wanted it. Is it stupid? If you are planing on keeping this car for a long time, I would say NO. You now have a totally different type of Z now. A car that will make all mustang, camaro, maybe the new C8 vette owners cry, lol
For parts only I think the amount is high. For me, I went with an older 90's chassis (A31 Cefiro) and I'm at $23k including the chassis, parts, and labor and should be at 750whp when done.
I don't care how much money I have to spend on a car if I want it. It doesn't matter to me about money, it's about what I want. So, of course, I'd spend that and much more.
Dang brother! You get it.
Must be nice to shit out money like that
beanX21 I bet you this guys does even have a car
+Itchy Hope. Do you even have a job or any source of income? You can’t just shit out money like that, unless your rich
What is rich it’s all relative to where you are at in life
Lmao "That dang train" cool video! The video is so crispy.
Damm the amount is so overwhelming. I'm glad I'm going for aesthetics on my 370z haha
Lol oh yeah much much cheaper route. But could get pricy easy. Bags. Wheels. Carbon. That's almost 10k there depending on wheels and carbon pieces you get.
But it's slow though.
Dean BKK who cares? Driving slow cars are still fun regardless
@@DeanBKK how is a 370z slow? Have you never drove a brz/frs?
@@romariosmith422 you can easily Google 370z specs. And yea I've driven an FRS and more fun cars like S2000, Civic Type R, etc... depends on what u wanna do with the car. Auto-X and street driving under 300hp is ok... it wont be fast but will be "fun" to drive. Fun, but slow.
You got some quality videos, I enjoy watching to take notes :)
Thanks you! I think my next video will help a lot too :)
I love how clean and simple the car looks. Has to be fun as hell. Great build man 👌🏾

Just subscribed! A couple weeks ago I bought a 2016 370z Nismo and your channel has definitely taught me a few things, because I'm new to the car scene. My first addons will be the exhaust and some test pipes. Keep up the quality videos homie! I will be watching 😊
Well congrats on the z! Thank you! Exhaust and intakes best route to start with i think. If you go intake get the 3 inch from admin.
Check out the Beluga Racing resonated tails. I love the deep tone. I have a cold start and warm start video on my channel.
Looks great man! Love the turbo set up!
Thank you!!!
Looks great, rocking the stock wheels. I wish I would pull the trigger on my g37 but that’s so much money
Just got my 370z and some day I’ll do a sleeper....sick build!!!
I like how you orientated the engine bay. The Turbo is really accesible, so if it ever breaks down easy to replace. Also it just has a clean look.
Fuel rails, bigger pump, water cooled, and custom plenum...maybe.
Man if you just spaced out the wheels 15mm to sit flush with the fenders it would be complete from my point of view. I love the build and I love the slight drop factory look with all that power to surprise just about anyone
Hell yeah I'll spend money to boost a Z
Hell yeah brother!!!!!
If you think about it you could find a really decent 370z put as much money for what you paid for it and have a new car that you can call your own
What is the best kit to get if I wanna make 500whp on a HR 350z on pump fuel?
Ohh good question. I would say the switchback kit still. Or boosted performance kit. I made 580 something on 93. I'm not a 350 obviously but just for reference. Ultimatly comes down to where do you want the turbo. And piping size. Bp kit just from watching fresh kicks i believe he has 2 inch piping or 2.5 where as switchback is full 3 inch. So eventually your gonna be restricted. I would go switchback.
370's with a power adder are one of the most slept on cars
Agreed! I cant tell you how many times I've been questioned is that truly the power you make? You really make over 600?
@@ShayHarambe yeah I am more of a V8 dude myself but I still love fast imports or big power vq's 4g's and big turbo hondas
@@texasstreetproductions9041 lol I think all car people have a secret soft spot for big turbo Hondas lol
@@ShayHarambe yup, I wish my lightning wasn't so expensive to build one day I want to go balls to the wall and try to fit the twin turbo kit that goes on the terminators that works with the supercharger
@@texasstreetproductions9041 thats sounds like crazy money and go crazy fast
Cool car. For the price though, it's one thing if you already have a 370 and just want more, but if looking for a car that you want to tinker with from scratch, I'd probably lean towards a 335 and do bolt ons for a similar result, but 370s are in my opinion are good looking cars and I like the fact yours has the stock body. All I'd do is wheels on one of those cosmetically
You’re not bolting on 600whp
I saw this video in 2020 When You released it but I just watched it again and it's funny to me to think that $50,000 can get you anywhere near a GTR.
The prices are just insane at this point- even though the market has changed for the better a little.
Was even more weird is that last November I bought a 370Z and I just installed a supercharger on it last week...
OK, if you want a high HP build (900hp) expect to spend a total of around 70K, maybe a little more. Redo's are expensive.
Yeah i would have had to swap the turbo and build the engine for sure.
Excellent set-up. Any issues with heat in the engine bay?
Yes! This is one of my current problems. I want to get a carbon fiber vented hood. That would help so much.
Was looking to buy a 370z stock and thankfully I just got accepted an offer of 15k for one which is 2019, and I am going ahead and purchasing that as my first car in 3 days. I honestly cannot believe I'll be driving a 370z in 3 days. Your video definitely helped me to get an idea on a fully modded 370z, I'll get there gradually. Appreciate this video a lot G.
Congrats! I loved the 370z platform. It handles so well and makes good power.
what % tint did you put?
15% all around and 50% on the windshield.
Videos are getting much better!! Always a quality build. Personally I’d like and I know others would like a reactions video to people seeing your turbo stuffed in your Z. Like place a go-pro on your dash and let it film peoples reaction at cars and coffee. Also some “race” videos of you trolling people on the highway.
I didnt even think about that. The few times I have showed it off people are so shocked.
BoostedVQ yeah man just leave the hood open and let the go-pro run. You will get an honest opinion of what people think about your car
That does sound cool. Next car show it happening.
Thanks for sharing man. I saw you somewhere on IG but I forgot where. But yea man I've dropped 11 to $12k into my Z and I'm not even turbo'd. I'm surprised you haven't gotten spacers for your wheels at least...
Ah yea, admin. That's where I saw you
BTW I wanna get a South Bend flywheel, the 12 lb one. If you know where I can find a 12 lb flywheel hit me up man.
@@Lofi.z34 yeah admin posted my dyno stuff. I've thought about spacers but just haven't done it. I bought my set up through zspeed.

Nice video!! Definitely worth it!!
Thank you! I agree lol
Love it man, what a sleeper :)
Thank you! I really do love it being a sleeper but at the same time man I want some carbon.
Damn nice, I love that you kept the completely stock look, makes it a sleeper: I’m planning to get a Z soon but I’d just stay around 400hp with bolt ons and possibly boost it after I pay it off
Oh yeah! Brother I would pull up to the races and I would call people out and they would go “naw your just z” or something alone those lines. I went “ehhh not just a z, bolt ons making over 600.” I’m sure you can imagine there thoughts lol. Normally the r888rs gave it away.
Good plan though. Pay it off first!
add another 10k for labor if you're planning on having a shop do it for you
Shoot probably! I cant imagine what labor would cost for all this.
Looks really good. I prefer the stock exterior appearance. I have been looking at upgrading my own 2014 Sport/Touring Z with either Supercharger or Turbo. 600 WHP is pretty impressive for a Z.
Who did the install?
Yeah I loved just the stock look. I wanted to do a nismo exterior and do like a OEM plus but you know?…. I would get roasted but wgaf 😂😂 switchback did the full turbo and fuel system install. Being that they where still a relatively new company getting their name out they was doing free installations. Then sense they was all up in there anyways I paid $100 for them to install the full CJM fuel system.
@@ShayHarambe WOW, you got an excellent deal. Wish I would have known they we're doing that, I might have jumped at the chance to do it then. I love the look of the build and it's exactly how I would do my own. I don't like changing the stock look of the vehicle, but definitely want to add the power bits!
deserve more than 677 subs. My next build is going to be a 370z but hope i can keep the spend below 20k xD
Thank you lol good luck with your build. It can get pricy really quick.
@@ShayHarambe I plan on doing most of the labor myself and attempting to get some deals on parts looool
I ask myself that question everyday do I get like a 2010-2012 camaro for like 20-25k and build it up to my liking which would prob cost another 20-25k and have it custom made to my exact liking or do I get like a c7 vet for the same price and eventually build on it the way I like lol I personally think I’d go camaro just cause down the line I think it’ll be a better show car on day
There you go! I personally love going with cheaper cars building them to be wayyyy faster than people who spend big money on cars that think they are fast from factory. Just something about people going what?????? Your 20k car beat my 60k car? 🙃
Idk what state you’re in but a 2010 to 2012 camaro ss here in Illinois are well under 20k. That’s crazy
im coming from a subie and im low key mising the turbo noises but the power when it is turboed.... well daaamn
I was watching shewantsthezz cost breakdown and in reality it doesn’t need to be upwards of 22k. It all depends whether you plan on buying a kit or have a shop that can help you do the work. I think shewantsthezz said he was around 8.5k after buying most of the parts himself and have a shop do the fabrication. I would love to one day boost my Z but not too ecstatic about a 20k price tag lol. So for anyone out there there’s other options and routes to take. But nonetheless this was still a very good and informative video!
So I didnt watch his video fully but I know his build video he didn't include everything like I did. He did just the turbo kit. I included full suspension, full supporting mods, and other things here and there. But if I made a video like him then yeah just my turbo kit alone cost 9k something. Not much more than his and mine has more potential.
Ahhhh okay makes sense... not sure what work he had done on his suspension wise since I know he has the nismo. But I know he didn’t throw on a few supporting mods to the overall price. Hopefully one day I’ll have my Z at the 500+ hp mark.
@@akoolz if I where to do it again I would have just went with the supercharger kit and a2a. Making the same power on e85 and cost way less to build.
22030 is for the mods. He says he could of gotten a GTR but let’s say you get a $10000 370 plus 22k mods. That’s $32000 for a damn near super car. I’m going to do this lol
Yeah that part idk if people understood. The price of the z plus the 22000 I could have bought a used older gtr. You can find a gtr for like 45k. But yeah find a cheap 370z plus all those mods and the weight of the z its the way to go. A lot of dudes are actually running high 600s and low 700s. I just don't wanna blow it till i got money to build it. To mod a gtr though im sure is big money. On top of the 45 to 50k car. But 600 to 700 on stock block on a z. Then Adam lz upgraded the bottom end of his engine and i think he's making 900 on his 370z. To build the bottom end is 2k for rods and pistons. Idk that's how I look at it. Price of car plus mods whats the best car/ route or power to weight ratio. Obviously other things come into play too. To me a 370z is the perfect route to build a racecar :)
I think i wouldve picked up a cheap 300zx z32 and thrown 20k at it. Much more of an iconic car when its all done. IMO
True true.
damn, if i had the money id turbo my Z too! be hella fun
nice! i have a 2020 STI FBO/E85. Gotta go built block to be able to catch up to you! I love these cars. been thinking of getting one to build. looks like a super fun car! what part of florida are you in? im in venice right now looking for other car guys!
Ohhhh I know a lot about that platform! Just sucks how they dont handle a whole lot of power stock block. Which dont get me wrong they hold quite a bit but going to a built block its so pricy for a ej. Its crazy.
@@ShayHarambe yea dude! im on a conservative 380whp tune. didnt wanna blow up my stock block! really think of getting a 370 or maybe even see how the 400z is gonna be!
I actually sold my 2018 subi for the z lol. I was making 363 wheel. That car just cost so much to make little power.
@@ShayHarambe thats nice man! i have a baby boy so i need the sedan haha. but maybe ill splurge and buy a z! check your dm's on instagram.
How's the clutch? One of my fears is building my 07 350z and ruining the driveability of my car. I LOVE my car. I want my car now, but a little stiffer bushings, less body roll, and two or three times the power with a wing and a diffuser so the ass doesn't step out so quickly. My car has about a hundred thousand miles so I've been thinking just coils, brakes, wheels, tires, and build the motor and twin turbo it...But I'm afraid of having a clutch "button" if you know what I mean. I don't want it to be on or off (I have never driven a turbo Z, where in Florida??? Near SRQ??) I see you didn't wrap the exhaust, I wrapped mine and it makes a noticeable difference. You took the thermostat out completely? 🤔 Do you drive it in the winter? Maybe I should too. My car overheats on hot days kinda quick even with a thicker Koyo rad, but it might be the lack of a cold air intake, it's pulling air from the engine bay.
Do you still feel like it's the same car, but faster or do you feel it is so much different that it feels like a completely different car? I'd love to know for myself prior to dropping $20-30k.
Sheesh lots of stuff going on here. My exhaust is heat wrapped. Only the down pipe and up pipe to the turbo though. Uhhh right now on stage 3 southbend clutch it is driving just like stock. Now at this moment I am upgrading to a 6 puck clutch so that will be aggressive. Very on off. That will be my next video btw. Thermostat is still in and yeah i drive in the winter. We don't get any snow so not worried about it. Best thing I can say is tires and suspension make a world of a difference. I dont really have any intentions of upgrading my radiator at the moment. Ive had no cooling problems. Only thing I would like to do further with cooling is a vented hood and maybe run 2 small nozzles of water injection post intercooler.
@@ShayHarambe Lmfao yeah, that comment was a bit scattered, wasn't it? 😂
Where in FL are you? Roughly.

Hey brother! I love the build and no its 100% worth it :) I wanted to build a twin turbo 370z...do you have any kit recommendations 600whp+ ? Also what were the labor costs and how long did it take you to build this from start.
Hey! Thank you! Uhh if you wanna go twin turbo I would recommend the Fast Intentions Kit. The quality of there products are crazy. But you don't really need a twin turbo. The turbo kit im running spools like a twin turbo kit. Then boosted performance kit is a twim scroll turbo so also spools real fast. There was no labor cost. Switchback racing was doing a deal to install the kit with no labor price. The whole thing from start to finish was probably 6 months or so.
@@ShayHarambe yeah I saw how many single turbo kits are insane for the 370s...I always thought of replicating the GTR with the twins and love the thought of having twins haha. Ill definitely checkout the FI kit. I wonder how much they would be to fully install -__-

You ever build one?
How much would the tune have been if you would of just gotten a regular tune on 93 with no flex fuel, mac valve or anything like that?
Well mac solenoid was required to go over wastegate pressure. As well was the 4 bar map sensor. But to tune without e85 was 800.

I've been looking at a car to get into building with, I've been looking at the 350 and 370zs and I think that's the car I'm going to go with turbo it the works but I was wondering, in your opinion, is there a better car for a beginner build? Not looking for a carb car either i want to mess with fuel injection
In my opinion any car could be a beginner car. Just do a bunch of research and learn how everything works together. The only bad part I see with the 350 or 370 is its exspensive to mod. More than other cars I've owned maybe except a subaru.
I didn't think about it that way lol, thanks man I appreciate the perspective
Have to understand if your a builder/project person no matter the car you will upgrade something just remember a 30k-45k car upgrades will rang from $500-20k but a car thats 55k-100k your looking at 1k-50k for upgrades. So turning a 20k car into a 40k in total price is not that bad for what you want but then buy at 60-80k car then just get a rear diffuser for 2k 🤷🏾♂️. It's about what you can afford one... then what you consider fun to get modified
👆man knows what’s good. ☺️
370z for sure.. I have 2014 sport touring and a TT kit is serious for mine. THE PLAN IS TO KEEP LOOKING STOCK OUTSIDE. blow the doors off the unsuspecting.
Clean man👌 very nice build!
Thank you!!!
It’s expensive don’t get me wrong it’s triple what I paid for my ms3 that I built. But it only makes like 370whp. 22k for 600+whp sounds cheap to me. I love this build and a turbo 370z is my near obtainable dream car
Dang thats crazy! What all is done to the ms3 for that price?
BoostedVQ I got the car really cheap from a neighbor because it was rebuilt. So far it’s got the basics like a 3 inch down pipe with upgraded fuel pump and internals. It’s got a performance short ram air intake, upgraded turbo inlet pipes with a cts4 turbo from cork sport with a mishimoto fmic and a decent computer tune. Other than that small things like upgraded motor mounts and a deep performance exhaust (that sounds like heaven) I believe that’s about it. I’m saving to get a better tune on the dyno because I know I could be making more power with the setup. It’s on 93 pump so next step is E85 or Methanol but I just wanted a daily that’s a little bit of a sleeper. It’s on about 18psi boost on a 3.5 bar Map sensor
Would drop that 22k ALL DAY on that build, props that car is exactly what I would do if I owned a 370. I would love to have it if you ever wanna get rid of it. Noe big question why didn't you build the block? Is it actually safe to run over 600 on stock rods n pistons?
Lol cause I kinda ran out of money on the build at the moment. But yes 600 Is safe on stock block. 700 is where things get iffy. At least that is what the tuner says.
@@ShayHarambe lol watched your video twice forgetting i commented and said both times I'd drop that kind of money all day and im by no means rich. Empty my bank account now and finance the car and I could go there but just barely. Ive been looking at a 2015+ gt stang or a 370. I cant find the 370 around me tho it sucks. Test drove 1 and it was a soft top so I was out.

@@ShayHarambe yeah, you have to make a lot of $ to swap cars that often. for me, I only have 30k miles on mine so it's going to last way longer than anyone would have ever expected.
The price is 22 030
Would you say it would be safe to daily, if I weren’t to push it all the time? I wanna boost and probably keep it at mid 400s
Oh yeah i believe so if you don't mind bad gas mileage.
Is it pretty daily-able if you tune it for a medium amount of boost
Oh yeah! I have a few buddies that just tune to wastegate (8psi) and have been running that for years.
Such an insanely good deal from Switchback... Cant believe he offers free install, if I wasn't 1000mi away from FL i definitely would have hopped on this. Was the CJM return fuel system installed for free as well?
Yeah for sure. A free install on a kit like this with all the labor on welding and install. Crazyyyyy good deal. The entire fuel system with pump and top hat install was $100. With a lot of stuff around the enginr coming out it is super easy to install all those lines and stuff.
Hell yea beautiful
Thank you!
Keep vids coming man!! Bought my sport touring in March and your video are great 👍
Yeah once I get it back the videos will continue. Currently they are fixing that small oil leak i had mentioned a few videos ago.
And congrats on buying a z!
Thanks man! I was glad to find your channel because it seems like there isn't very many 370 specific channels around. Hope you get your car sorted easy enough!
@Andrew Baker yeah man! Seems like most 370 channels out there are click bait or just pointless videos. I wanna to put out quality content on useful stuff even if it means very few videos.
To build your content up you could dive into specifics on small parts like your flex fuel, oil catch etc. Just an idea man, lookin forward to what you put out!
I’m saving up my money so when I’m able to drive I can get a 370z
Thats awesome! Definitely worth saving up to pay it straight up if you can than having a loan paying interest on.
Better cut some more lawns
More than you can afford pal...you can make monthly payments on a ferrari
Built not bought
Hell yeah!!! Built not bought! 😌
What's diff about that kit vs the FI TT kit? What was the deciding factor?
Oh boy literally everything.
Awesome car but in my country window tint is about 5$ per window
Dang that would be super amazing! How many cars I've had windows tinted on in my life I would have saved so much money.
$22,030. You're welcome
Wooooowwwwwwww! Your the dude to spoil movies and TV shows I bet.
@@ShayHarambe not really, I hate spoilers! However I do like to get to the point sometimes. Great video though! It was interesting to see hear and see most parts.
@@jamesgarza5270 yeah I mean that was the whole point of the video. Parts and prices. Unless you want a 5 second video this is my 636 whp z and I spent 22k on it.
@@jamesgarza5270 thank you though.
@@ShayHarambe yea but some people just want to see the description and then know right off the bat, nothing wrong with that! Still watched the video
I’m boutta do this. Specifically this all of it lmao 40 grand for this is a deal
I would do it. Your gonna spend 40 grand on a used hellcat and your z would beat it. I'm actually doing this right now though with a g35. Also have a nice 06 bmw m5 that'd built. Where ya live. Maybe I could rub ya with my 06 bmw m5. It's the same whp.
Shoot I would if I still had it. I sold the z like a year ago.
