I literally just finished playing that quitar! It was the first one I ever got. I've had that dude for probably 9-10 years.
A good beginner guitar kit for 120 to 150 check out Glarry for a strat pack .Fender(Squier) are over priced and have issues set up bad frets ect. Just like most beginner guitars kits ect. I don't recommend kits like this because the amplifiers suck in 90% of most kits.I got a Glarry burning fire 24 fret guitar HSH pickup confirmation. Was good out of the box I tuned and played it.No issues what so ever with it and I paid 65 bucks back in February when I got it,now they sell for 70 to 100 bucks. Still a good deal. All I've done to it is change tuners and pickups my preference. Strings are a must change they suck bad and arnt Didario strings. Do your research and shop around you can find a good guitar for under 200 bucks .Fender Frontman 10w amp isn't that good you can get way better for the same money like Orange amps or Marshall ect.I also just got a Glarry GST strat copy same thing as a Fender without the big brand prices half the cost.Ill mod it our to a Fender when it's done. Also get a strat with SSH instead of SSS it will give you more playing options like hard rock or metal.

I'm not a beginner...I just sound like one.
My first and only Strat was a Squier II that I bought from a little shop in Pusan, Korea, in 1993 or 1994. (Sometimes spelled Busan, it's in the south. So I guess it's south South Korea). It's black, it quacks, and it's jacked. I ruined the fretboard leveling the frets. They were uneven from the factory, then I wore grooves in them. That neck was never any good. New Squiers are way better, or so I hear.

Donner kit set is better for the price , and it's like HSS type with so much everything you need for the guitar.

Music is hard, but you can do hard things. Improvement can happen. Consistent practice is more important than talent, but consistency is really hard to achieve. I hope you try again anyway.
