I absolutely love your brand. I just happened to have come across it recently online, browsing through dressers and other furniture, that people have refinished using Fusion, and there's just a certain quality in your paint that stands out to me.

I am amazed but laughing in a same time. I just watched few other videos about gold leaf and how to apply and everybody is like "you need to be careful and don't touch glue with your finger because it will leave fingerprints" and they just gently apply it with plastic on top and soft brush 🤣 and on other side here is your video where you just show how to do it simple with your hands and honestly I don't see difference. I was scared to try use gold leafs but now I am just gonna go for it. This was tutorial for normal people short, simple and easy. Thank you

I do like the messy random look, but I still want the polish/shine, would a Teflon burnisher work on the random part or are they only for solid gold patches?

Love your video! I'm just wondering if I could use these products to apply on to Chess pieces? Do you recommend it for that? I know it's not really the intended use but I could see it working... but I'm not sure.

Would I want to apply a varnish or something once the glue is dry and the leaf set? I notice it crumbled away at a slight rub and not sure if glue would prevent that?

I missed the 2 important products you mentioned. Glue "size"? Do you have a link to an example? And what kind of product you use to seal the gold? Thanks.

I just grab it from my local craft store- I know it sounds funny - but its definitely a thing they will know!

@@FusionMineralPaintsdo any other products do a similar job as this "size glue?" Ie.. watered down modge podge/spray adhesive etc? I do my work on either just on canvas/wood panels prepped or not, or backwards on glass and work the exact opposite steps as I'd take on canvas, starting with a crisp outline and working to all my fills, rather than starting with the background/fill in, and finishing with the crisp outline. Would I end up having to use different products?
Thanks, if u even see this.. I kinda just noticed this is 3 years old but took the shot anyway

@@bremdillz3723Search online for "gilding adhesive" and "gilding varnish". They often come as a pair. The gilding varnishes I found are water-based which is probably only going to protect against gentle wear. I would think you could use any varnish for more heavy duty protection. Try it on a small sample to be sure.

Gold leaf needs a gold leaf adhesive called size. You can get at any craft store.
