Thank you for watching and liking my video. Because of you, I checked the price on Amazon, currently $370 😱 $400 with tax.
Man, that's steep. As you can see, this thing holds its value at least. If it was $200 now, I will be "mad". For $300-$330, I will say it is still worth it. Well, FYI, I got mine on July 2019, so with inflation, well, that's how we are having to pay our butts off for things now. You take care 😀

I bought that Faribault blanket 10yrs ago and it is one of my favorites, and I have 4 Hudson Bay Point Blankets(much more expensive). That Faribault Foot Soldier is the most durable and long lasting blanket I have ever owned. It is better wool than the Filson Mackinaw Cruiser or LRB Boreal(just sold both of mine). It is not the warmest blanket, but it stops wind like no other and it is the most resistant to abuse and neglect. Worth every penny.

    • @uwanitbad

The wool blanket is good enough for 50F and also I will have to put on warm clothes too. The bedroll is good at protecting you from drizzle and wind. I thing good about the bedroll is that it definitely keep the mosquitoes at bay. Lastly, this wool blanket is 100% wool and if you give it some TLC, it will last you a lifetime.

I used it in my backyard during warmer days. I had used it in the 60's and I was still very comfortable just using a fleece blanket. Anyway you must know this is just a heavy duty canvas and the cold air will still penetrate through it. Make sure you use the correct rating sleeping bag as the canvas bedroll is in case it drizzle, at least will still keep your sleeping bag or blanket dry. Lastly, I will not recommend this using bedroll during wet season. It is for good weather so you can enjoy the outdoor and stargazing night. Have a great day.

Anyway this bedroll is not supposed to use during rainy days. With proper care and waxing, it will repel water well. Also I don’t think the zippers will become rusty if that’s your concern. Otherwise, there is “plenty” of room for a sleeping pad 20” x 72” (1 to 2 inches thick no problem). This bedroll can be handed down to your love ones for many years to come.
