Eco Hike at Stone Barns Center

Stone Barns Center members joined Deputy Director of Ecology, Elijah Goodwin, for a winter bird walk through the Rockefeller State Park Preserve ecosystem. Everyone learned bird identification skills and about our agricultural habitats that support our bird visitors and year-round residents. Many birds utilize our grasslands for food and shelter in the winter, and they support our crops and livestock through seed dispersal and pest management year round. Video produced by Ben Hider.
