Every time you stagger Lagiacrus right before it hits you I tense up a little. Amazing run.

Hot take: the Land fight in GU might not be so great, but the underwater fight felt like ludroth with khezu aoe..
I still love him and wait his comeback.
@@magnabueno5360Lagiacrus only really uses generic leviathan moves tho. Frontier managed to innovate with the standard species skeleton, while the portable team created completely new ones (Almudron's, Somnacanth's, Mizutsune's), to the point where Lagiacrus started to feel lame. At least in my opinion

As someone who never got to experience the underwater combat, I REALLY want it to return. Im sure they could touch up whatever problems it had with the stuff they have available currently. It already looks so cool in this, imagine how awesome it would be in a game like World.
Hopes for Lagiacrus make its comeback for MH6.

If you fill up to max and the bar starts flashing, you'll get infinite spirit for a limited time. Was removed in later games

Wait how do you do a lateral fade side slash from unsheath weapon (not as part of a combo) in Tri?
Not 100% sure but if it's like GU then you need to input your direction and the fade slash at the same time. It has a pretty tight window though
I hope Water Battles return in a good way in the next PC MH Game. Despite how slow it was I felt it was accurate since you are fighting a MONSTER in their natural environment. In Rise it didnt really feel like they are monsters. More like pets.

Hell no, Underwater combat can stay in 3rd gen. Sorry but it's not good. Even if they were to rework it, it still wouldn't be good.
Nearly every weapon is unviable in the water, there is also a gauge that you have to keep track of even in combat, which isn't ideal. Please stop asking for it.

Ok i never played mh3 how is he able to breathe underwater is there a skill for it?
He isn't, in 3/3U you have a air bar on your left, when it becomes empty you cart. Before it gets empty you have to dive up to the surface to refill it.

How can the hunter hold his breath that long
3/3U hunters are trained divers.
In real life divers can hold there breath under water for around 15 min.

Nostalgia. He's a pretty standard leviathan and his fight is OK, but 3U babies got attached to him anyway.
In base 3 he was the best underwater fight.
Ludroth and Gobul where early monsters and Cedeus was just an underwater Lao Shan Lung.
