Bought a 2020 Trail Boss 5.3 10 speed and love it! Its a solid truck!! No problems at all
I like how big new trucks are getting and how small the wheels are. They look like they were designed by Pixar animators.
I think they are expecting you to put bigger wheels on it, and I think it's less expensive with smaller wheels when you buy it + better fuel economy.
No. A 1985 C-10 had 275/60/15 stock. Modern trucks with 22's look like Hot Wheels.

I rather have smaller wheels than the disgusting 20in+ trend going on

LoL right that’s the entire reason I clicked on this video!
Yall just made a video about how manufactures don't make a working mans truck (complaining about the price of the HUMMER) but then make a video showing how you can get a BRAND NEW Silverado WELL under 30K. Ill say it again, if you adjust for inflation trucks are cheaper than the 1990's trucks. The fact that they come with much better safety tech and horsepower is just the icing on the cake. You cant have a 400HP, Fully loaded truck with cooled seats, 18 speaker sound system, 4X4 with front and rear lockers, LED lights everywhere, 10 Speed automatic, Leather everywhere, memory seats with remote start and then bitch that "trucks aren't affordable like they were back in the day". The affordable trucks exist, and the market has spoken and nobody wants them except fleets for the most part. I literally lose my mind when i see people complain about how expensive trucks have gotten. The cheap trucks have not gotten more expensive, the automakers have simply tapped into the higher end market as well.
New trucks are too expensive.
Everyone rags on Chevy trucks until we are 10 years down the line and they still look half decent compared to the ford or ram
Yeah, for the few that remain on the road
@@hanksta34 it depends on how you want to look at it. A Silverado is nearly twice as likely to reach 200000 miles as a RAM. It has a 5% higher chance to reach 200000 miles compared to a F-150.
They look decent but the interiors are trash compared to the ram.

The turbo 4 in the reg cab is an intriguing new choice. Nice to see. Would like to see 10 speed at least offered as an option on WT.
Still waiting for your pick!
The chevy crew cab rst with the 6.2, leather and max tow seems like a pretty amazing do-anything truck that should last a long time.
Just picked up a brand new 2020 2500hd crew cab, long bed, lt z71 with a bunch of options for 49. Sticker was 57. Its just the 6.6 gas but it is plenty for what we tow and haul! Wanted to avoid the emissions stuff on the duramax anyways. Thanks for all the videos to help make the decision!!!

Great truck. You guys might want to mention that the interior lights are not very good. They look cool but when I am trying to look at things in my center console or in the back seat storage it is too dark at night. They should have lights focused in those areas. Especially the center console for trades people.
You're right and i always carry small flashlights as a result. There is also about a two-second delay before they turn on.
I have the 2016 regular cab, it is dark at night.
Wish you would have told us which Silverado you would buy. Like the title of the video.
I got the 21 rst with the 6.2 and 10 speed love it I thinks it’s the best bargain for what u get options wise
I'd probably go with the 2.7 in a Double Cab WT trim.
Is there a Real Tree edition? I feel like I heard there would be on the 21.
I don’t see an $800-$1100 a month truck note as affordable
Is there an ugly delete option?
Nope
No, that's a standard feature across the board. LOL! 😨💨💩🚽

Where I live buying a pickup truck at a fair price is more about buying at the right time of year than anything. The local bulk dealers will cut their prices pretty deep after the snow starts to melt every year.
Silverado 1500 LTZ Dual Cab 6.2L is $93,000 USD here in Australia! (The only one we can buy)
@@trp2413 That's about the same price we pay here in Au because the Australian government hates America for saving our ass and taxes the ass out of American cars but loves the Japanese for bombing Pearl Harbour and Darwin so they get tax breaks to sell here. The stars aligned, and I purchased a 2020 crew cab/short bed Silverado 1500 High Country Deluxe with the 3.0 l Turbo Diesel on May 25th. I already have nearly 10,000 miles on it, and I absolutely LOVE that truck. I would buy it again in a heart beat. Mine is North Sky Blue, but that optional Deep Cherry red is sick!
North sky blue is an awesome color, especially with the chrome trim from the HC. Stellar choice! (Pun).
@1CENT I haven't had any issues. The engine does run hotter than an equivalent gasoline engine from my experience. Then again, this is my first oil-burner, so my experience admittedly limited. It is amazing to see the coolant system working through the temp gauge in the cab. The needle does move quite a bit as the ECU shifts coolant around as needed.
I have a question I want to buy a truck for the first time but I want to know wish is batter i want to buy from year 2008 to 2014 for f150 or chevrolet silverado if you're a expert please wish one 🙏

The F450 pickup, despite what they might want you to believe, is still only a class III truck. Also, I wonder what GM did to increase the maximum towing on that truck. Seems to me marketing waive the magic wand
GM has always been very conservative with their pay load ratings. Im betting the truck can make ease of these new ratings.

The design of the new Chevys has grown on me. Anybody concerned about longevity though? They’ve gone with direct injection but no port injection to clean the valves.

Especially with dark interior tell me about interior lighting. My house mate just bought a 2021 Rav4 and for 38k and change I would have expected at least decent lighting. Keep in mind cost with a diesel includes replacing a DPF down the road. They can only handle so many regens before they become less effective and need to be replaced. And with diesel costing more than gasoline all the fuel economy savings is out the window. Because if the Cost - owning a diesel doesn’t make sense to me. Sure if you have to tow 30,000 lbs it makes sense there but the diesel on these small trucks.... just get a big gas engine and pocket the long term savings.

@Zesty Meatballs yep it’s a piece of shit. Actually we have three of them. Two with the 8 speed, and I personally drive the 2016 Z71 with the 6 speed. No torque down low and it feels very lethargic. The fuel economy is atrocious. The only good part about it was we picked all three up pretty cheap.

GM will probably release an update on interiors for 2022 my guess at least for the half tons, I also believe an exterior refresh. They really need to update they’re engine line up to though. The 5.3 has fallen way behind Fords 5.0 coyote to where the coyote is in between the 5.3 and the 6.2, which makes GMs 6.2 seem not as significant as well. As far as the HDs I’m not the biggest fan of the mirrors, front end/ grille, interior and feel they really should mate the 6.6 gasser with the 10 speed “Allison” transmission like Ford has their 10 speed with the base 6.2 gas engine.
I don't know why am I watcing this, I live in Europe
I just purchased a 2021 1500 Silverado LTZ trim with the 3.0 Duramax. I see that Chevy pairs it with. 10 speed but my question is why does Chevy use the 3.23 gears? Will I have a problem towing my RV which weighs a little under 7 thousand pounds?
Nope you will be fine. They have plenty of torque. Just bought one and love it. Been getting running around out in the country 25 mpg. Around 30 on intrastate driving 70/75 mph.
@@kylekiser3567 Thanks Man. I had a 2019 Ram and it had the 3.21 gears and it was constantly shifting and like fighting to stay at speed. I could only go 65. Truck stayed i”between 5th and 6 to gear. I was concerned with the new truck due to it also having 3.23 gears.
Now the trail boss looks sick in silver minus the fake chrome
Why's there always so much hate on chrome bumpers? Is it just a personal prefrence? Is it just group think? Is there some extra maintenance to them? I'm genuinely curious. I think the trucks can look good both ways but it seems there's a lot of anti chrome people.
Nothing wrong with chrome. Do and, get what you want and like. #YouDoYou! Lol

6.2L Trucks and SUVs now Recommend 93 but required 87 octane or higher
Came to comments to ask/clarify this. I have read a lot of discussion about the 6.2 and people interpreting requirements. As far as I have been able to tell it is recommended, not required, but in order to get the best performance (like the numbers they quote you) you need to use premium. I've heard a few people worry about knock with reg, but just as many if not more say it's not an issue with the computers adjusting etc. Would be curious what an expert has to say on this. Interested in the 6.2 but don't want to mess up the engine using reg if I'm in the desert and that's all that's available.
