I loved seeing Adrian do great it’s what we always wanted for him at Nebraska. I’ll always be an Adrian supporter and I agree with Sip about never having enough around him for him to truly shine

We never had a good enough O-Line when Adrian was here, I think that was his biggest detriment

I’m going to agree with Sip about Adrian. He was awesome his freshman season. He had a line who could protect him, and receivers to throw to. Then between the injuries and lack of help, he was overworked.

The 21 team went 3-9 yet was one good play per game away from going 11-1, and two Great plays in the Ohio state game from going 12-0. How painful that must have been for him. I truly believe it was a curse.

I’d be curious if coaches mention when developing top players/talent the lengths the greats are willing to go to be the best. Wayne Gretzky, anticipation was his greatest weapon. Jerry Rice, work ethic greater than all. Michael Jordan his intensity and commitment and confidence in himself. Tony Gwynn his ability to make contact. All perfected their respective craft. STUDY THESE MEN! GBR!!🎈🎈🎈
Adrian won me over when he played with a broken jaw at Michigan State. A super-duper alliance with ACC, Big 12, Pac 12 scraps and some Mountain West players (Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, UNLV) combined. The SDA would restart some old rivalries (Pitt vs West Virginia for example).
Nebraska has got to stop beating themselves. Hopefully, the offense can hold their own, special teams will be serviceable, and the defense can score. No fumbles, no dumb ass offsides in 3rd and long, and no allowance of 3rd down conversions on defense in the 4th quarter. They do that and stay healthy, it’s a 10-2 season.

What we're not talking about is the Dylan effect on recruiting. Between Rhule's pro development, ceo, nfl knowledge, and the way he putting sh!t down, business is about to be booming! He's got next when it comes to 5 star looks. I said it before, its a pecking order for 5 stars. Urban Meyers left, made harbuagh next up. The O still gonna get there's of course, but with Harbuagh gone and Dylan damn near if not top ranking, we slid up the ladder. We kinda broke through quiet as kept. Facilities + Dylan + Rhule way? Mortimer where back!

I disagree with Sip on Merritt (unusual). Losing him to Alabama is not a win just because we are in the final 2. It is just another 3 point loss again if we lose him in my opinion. Sorry Sip.
Adrian was a nice kid who tried hard. But he had a knack for losing games. He really did. As Casey Stengel said "you can look it up". Sip's love affair with him not withstanding. :)

Unless Nebraska can once again gain admission to AAU academic status, we will remain vulnerable to being excluded from the B1G. Texas lobbied the AAU to expel Nebraska for technical reasons. I hate everything about Texas because they try to make everything about them.

Adrian was great, too bad he didn't start at a different school so he could have excelled earlier. Children of the corn will be fine as long as they stick to that easy Big 10 schedule with teams like Minniesota, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdon't, Iowa. . Gotta stay away from those powerhouses like Troy and Georgia Southern.
