You ever notice that this trans stuff goes mostly one way? It's so often some weird ass guy who suddenly says "yup, I'm a woman now, you have to respect me as such, I should have access to all spaces traditionally for women". Yeah, I can understand why women might not feel safe and/or comfortable in those spaces because of this stuff. It doesn't make them transphobes, it makes them cautious especially when they have their kids with them.
I've said this a million times! Why don't we hear about trans men going into men's lock rooms or bathrooms? Or trans men being relocated to men's prisons? Because men historically are the ones that cause problems, and a trans man knows "he" is safer in a women's space because is is actually a woman as well. But men in dresses can't seem to understand why we, real women, don't want men in our spaces, even if they are wearing a dress, when they don't even want to be in their own spaces. Because men are the problem! Not all men, lots of good men out there, but women tend to be victims and men tend to be perpetrators. You know what? I've been a member of several gyms, was on the girls' tennis team in high school, etc., and been in a couple hundred store dressing rooms. Not once have I walked around naked in a locker room, shower area, or dressing room. ZERO times, because I don't get naked in front of strangers. So one wonders about the "need" to be naked in public. It feels like a dare to me.
I was gobsmacked when I found out through comedy skits that men wander about naked in *mens* locker rooms. I thought that stopped after school!

I've worked for and been at the YMCA as a swimmer ever since I was 8. I've always been naked in the locker rooms. We're all supposed to be women in there, so it didn't matter to me, and shouldn't matter to most. It's not like there are separate stalls for toilets, showers, and changing, so if you change in the showers, you get wet clothes. If you change in the toilets, you risk dipping clothes in toilet water. Change in the changing area, and you are naked in a relatively open space central to the locker room. No matter where you are in the locker room, you should be able to be comfortable with other women or men.
@@pensandshakers This pre-supposes that everyone in the locker room is straight though. It's hard to be comfortable when someone in there might be ogling you, and even if everyone is straight I'd still find it weird.

As a woman who's used locker rooms before I can say with comfort and security that NO ONE WALKS AROUND NAKED IN PUBLIC! We have change rooms for this shit for a reason. The most you'll see (and you shouldn't be looking) is a woman in her underwear and she's generally facing a wall and is quickly putting her clothes back on. We come out in towels, bathing suits or a bathrobe. No one should be walkin around and airing out their bits. No one, expecially children should see that. Hell, we don't even want to talk to one another, it's just a place to get changed, take a shit or take a damn shower. That's it.

Grammatical gender, an alternative word to reference one's physical sex, and then the association that something has to one sex or the other. They have also tried to lump in this weird "self identity" definition that just throws everything else out the window when trying to use the word.

Ok so I finally watched the video. A few things…

2. This person is not transitioned at all. Not even in hormones or that face hair would not be there in that amount.
3…and this one is important.. I used to work as a counselor in a domestic violence organization. When the whole bathroom garbage started out, our organization jumped on that bandwagon. We had a younger transgendered woman working with us. A really sweet person. This person begged, and I mean begged, them not to change the bathrooms. Begged them not to bring attention to her in that way. And gave articulate and valid reasons why this was not a safe option. We had a meeting about it where she again begged them not to do this. Right there in the meeting they call her transphobic against herself. I was livid. They ripped her down and she just sat there sobbing and I just put my arms around her and held her. Trans-people do not want attention to be drawn to them. Trans-people just want to be left alone to live their lives without the attention. These freaks with beards are not trans no matter what girly name they give themselves.

It's not about real women "seeing" them in women's spaces. It's about that unsafe feeling women get from being in vulnerable positions (dressing rooms, showers, restrooms) with men in them. It's not 'transphobic' to feel threatened by having a man in your dressing room, because women don't want actual men in their dressing rooms either and they're (mostly) not 'androphobic'. There's just places where women are in vulnerable states and don't feel safe or comfortable with people who are physically larger, more imposing, have unclear intent or motivations, in addition to being possibly maladjusted.
Your neighbor said you don't belong in a woman's bathroom because....you.don't.belong.in.a.woman's.bathroom. Stop making her discomfort and uncertainty all about your selfish need to feel 'real' and your hurt feelings about it. Living in a society is not always about what you want, especially when you are an *extreme* minority that expects the majority to surrender to your invasion of their safe space. How about instead of making the world uncomfortable dealing with you, you suck up that discomfort on your own and *you* make the accommodations and the concessions for everyone else for a change?

I would like to talk to this guy. You know, man to man for a few minutes. After a brief conversation, I believe he would understand the reality of the world around him better.
What I want to know is why a transgender woman is doing nothing to look like a woman. That first one had a beard. When I see a hair on my face I grab twizers and get rid of it. Hell, I got laser treatment last year to get rid of my facial hair. So many of those trans woman keep the beards and demand that guys date them and if you don't you are transphobe. That is ridiculous. And walking around naked in public locker room? Nope. Never. I cover myself with a towel bc a) i don't want strangers looking at me (even if it's all woman) and b) I also don't want to look at other people. Sure it's not 100% avoidable but I try. The YMCA I go to in Florida has a large sign at the entrance to the locker room listing the locker room rules, and one of them is that you have to be decently covered, and it also says that you can be banned for breaking any of the rules.
At least that way, a dude claiming to be trans can't get away with claiming to be discriminated against when he's wanting to be a perv showing off his junk to women and girls. There are private changing rooms, toilet and shower stalls to change in, there's no excuse to be naked where other people can see them.

2:15 this is one of those people who make *no conceivable* effort to pass as the gender they *claim* to identify as then get mad at *us* when we're alarmed by their presence. To be fair, there *are* transgender women (and men) out there who take the time and effort to look the part (HRT, surgeries, etc.) but this is *not* one of them.

@@mikaneko He's doing VERY good. He had a HUGE bite on his side, very nearly pierced his chest cavity, so he's a very lucky kitty. With lots of love, and of course lots of money, he's nearly 100% again, the wound is nearly fully healed up though I'm not sure if his fur will grow back where the obvious scar is going to be :(

My aunt is a trans woman who avoids public bathrooms if possible but if she has to go she uses either a gender neutral bathroom or the men's room and literally no one bats an eye or harasses her because she respects the fact that trans women are not women, they're trans women which is different.

I’m all for being trans but put the effort in to make it obvious. More often than not, it seems to be unattractive people who decide the change gender and act this way. This is based on my observation of videos like this and trans people I have witnessed in public. I believe there are some individuals who genuinely feel they were born the wrong gender, the other 97% either have a mental disorder or they are trying to find a group to "fit into". I accidentally went into the women’s bathroom one time at Walmart after work.
Didn’t notice as I was tired as hell from my graveyard shift. Went in did my business and walked out. Security noticed and asked why I was in there. Told him “I work graveyard security shifts and just got off work, I’m tired and I didn’t notice”
He shrugged it off and said no problem.
