here in Kathmandu, BYD has absolutely whitewashed the Cretas and Brezzas with the Atto 3. BTW They cost 35 lakhs INR here. Since petrol vehicles are taxed at nearly 300% and EVs at about 80%, buying an electric vehicle is a no-brainer in Nepal and BYD is winning big.

I am all in for BYD, let our Indian businesses wake up from their slumber. What is stopping them from offering 500/600 km range, it is just weight that has to be added. Our own manufacturers are exploiting us for every 25/50 kilometers more (top-end model with more range), if this is what it takes to teach them a lesson, so be it.
Indian manufacturers should provide an EV that’s just as good, until then the consumer should pick the best product, IMO

Proud BYD Atto 3 owner from Nepal.
My uncle was looking for a sedan in the range of 50-60lakh and his top priority was a Camry or an A-class. BYD Seal does look like it ticks all the boxes and for his usage 600km range is more than enough. This is indeed a great car and as far as I have heard from BYD owners, they are happy with the product and are used to getting higher than estimated range every now and then.

@@MihirGates Thought of it, but shouldn't that be red number plate in that case. White number plates are for private non electric vehicles.

Seal is not a car to drive in such roads
Keep it in city and highways

For me the car and it’s specifications are more important, than caring where it comes from. If you cared that much you should call your Diesel cars goodbye, because oil rich countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran & Venezuela are all countries with no equality, and no labour standards.

For you guys maybe it should not matter from which country the car is from but I'm sure for majority of us the Car is not important than our country and its pride... irrespective of how good it is.
There is a difference between Nationalism and Hyper Nationalism. If the Government is happy to allow BYD selling it's products in India in return of huge sum of taxes, no one should have any problem in that. Just my perspective!

This review is non sense. No body cares about which country it comes from. And we all know electrics won't rev, but you could have shown us about the comforts in rear seat, boot space. And all other aspects of it
The leg room in rear seats are a bit harsh but fine, it's fine
It has a moonroof, rear vents, boot is fine
EVs are the future btw

So this is what car reviews have come to! 9 minutes 45 seconds of absolute rubbish features and mere 2 minutes of how it drives, when it should be the other way round!
People want to know more about the car in totality, not just how it drives. And most EVs anyways drive pretty similarly
