How would you like watching Ryan Rishaug, Jason Strudwick, and Dustin Nielson host a 'nationally televised' daily sports talk show on TSN and spend more than half of it talking about Edmonton sports? Yeah, thought so. This is why the rest of Canada can't stand the Leafs, Argos, etc. they get shoved down our throats continuously. As mentioned in another post here, if Crosby did sign it would need to be a bargain basement contract based on your cap situation, and only way he signs a team friendly deal is if you're as good as the Oilers, and the Leafs aren't even close to the Oilers. If Sid leaves Pittsburgh to sign on with his 'dream' team, it's the Habs, and if he wants to play for a cup contender, it's somewhere in the US. I'd love to see him play with McDavid and Drai and who knows? But we're in the same boat as the Leafs, it would need to be a very friendly to the team deal
The Leafs are the epicentre of the hockey universe and your team is just existing. Toronto is the Mecca of hockey. You can’t run from it and you can’t hide from it. Your jealously is obvious. The Leafs have more fans than all the other Canadian teams combined.

He has done so much for the game that he’s earned the right to shape his own destiny, but it would be hard to see him playing anywhere but Pitty, and I’m not even a Pens fan per se. It's crazy nobody mentioned Colorado. Sid's best friend plays there and they're legit contenders. Not to mention it's in the other conference so he wouldn't be playing directly against the Pens and stepping on toes. With Demidov Next year and our young core with + 1 year of experience, it actually works really well. Suzuki and Cole already have more playoff experience then the whole Maple leafs team.
