After revisiting my childhood game of mine, I end up appreciating the game even more than before. There were a few problems and a bit of disappointment within the game, but at the very least, it has its own balance that I enjoyed from the game.

After listening to a lot of the different reviews about the game. I took a step on giving this game a just deserving review, one that doesn't ridicule the mystery dungeon kind of format. It's not for everyone, I could agree that. But it's just kinda upsetting how these kinds of games end up getting played down that much. Such as the same thing that happened with the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, and even the Torneko series.

I know that it's already outside of CZcams... But I've been having trouble how some CZcams channels, end up trying to Copyright Striking my playthrough videos, despite they don't have the rights to the videos that I made... I understand if it's the developers or publishers themselves... But a random CZcams channel, who just records gameplay, would somehow copyright strike me? It's just rubbish tbh. If anything happens to my channel, at least there's still Twitter to contact me there and see my updates.

I know it's a bit late by now. I apologize, these times end up stressing me out from real-life problems. But I still plan on making updated progress on my channel... I guess it's partly my fault for being, indecisive at times. Trying to make a decent video, despite not a lot of people actually watching my videos. I'm still glad though, that you guys would still enjoy my content. Thank you for staying on what I do for my passion project.

This was my first roguelike game as a child, and I cried my eyes out when Shiroma went. Even now I enjoy it so much. Thank you for the review ❤️

You forgot to say that the most difficult part of this game is that you can only save inside the dungeon if you have a memory tag... it's so hard to finish this game without dying or chickening out by using a teleport tag and not finishing the dungeon at all.
Oh, that one. You do have a point there, I kinda shrug it over thinking it's a common thing for dungeon-crawler games. Kinda like Torneko's the Last Hope and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. But yeah, I agree it's hard to finish the game without the memory tag.
If I remember correctly, I kinda didn't use any of the memory tags, other than trying to defeat the shopkeeper before. I relied heavily on the Teleport Tag instead, running off the dungeon instead of saving. Kinda like what happened to me on my full playthrough of the game I've made. I've almost finished the game without the memory tag, yet I messed up big time on the final boss fight. I didn't save enough books to survive the boss, since I kinda forgot the strategy for fighting it.

my theory of why Leviathan is a boss instead of a summon is that Square couldn't figure out how to make Leviathan follow you in dungeons on land if you feather summon him, and then made him as a boss battle as a joke.
Respect for actually clearing the game first before doing a review.
I find the rebuilt dungeons too brutal/random.
To me the most impressive part of the game is the CG animation, I think it looks really cute.

I agree, the rebuilt dungeons are really hard to beat. I just got lucky I end up saving a lot of the books before beating those dungeons.
Definitely! Those CGs with Shiroma and Chocobo, along with the music of it all, made me remember the game a lot. Every time I'd see a Chocobo or a Traditional White Mage outfit in FF, I'd always them.
the rebuilt dungeons are my favorite part of the game, i loved being able to play as other characters, and i loved that they all had their own unique mechanics.
Kuz can shapeshift into other monsters, so you can use that to abuse unique abilities of such monsters, like Worm Sleep spit, or Phantom free thunder spells etc.
Mog can Steal and his gimmick can break his dungeon in half and let him farm rare items for you, such as Level Up nuts from Vampires.
Shiroma is a master magician, and has very strong magic for the dungeon she is in, and has all magic casting feathers, and her dungeon lets you farm Mystery Tags that increases your magic levels across the board.
Cid is my least favorite, because i feel his dungeon is overtuned for him, he hits like a truck but takes too much damage back, his spell levels are terrible for the dungeon he is in, and his mine unique skill is almost never worth it.

I will! Including the uncommon ones, like Torneko the last hope, Tomba, or Valkyrie Profile. There's also JP games I wanted to talk about, like Ten Made Jack and Monster Racer (Koei Tecmo) in time I'll be covering them.
I'm still working on a few modern games to cover recently, but I'm still aiming for older console games. Hopefully you'll stay for more :)
