I was wondering if you can help me out with a question too. I was planning to backpack on a trail off hwy 2 in early July. The trail is surprise creek to surprise and glacier lakes. I tried leaving a voicemail with the skykomish ranger station, but have not gotten a call back. I am just wondering what the snow is currently like in your area and at what elevation would I get into deep snow?

The lakes will have no snow in July. Good choice.
