Well in only a couple weeks it has gone from an amazing update with improvements and bug fixes to a OUT OF THIS WORLD update where there is a whole now E2 Version built in!!!
All New Autothrottle with full FMS/MAN modes, New Auto spoiler deployment and even increased Payload and Fuel!!
The HJet just gets better and better ... This really is a Version 2 not a small dot release!! Other Vendors would have required an Upgrade Fee to get it!!

Hello Les, flew for the first time today with the new HondaJet V 1.0.7, mighty man how beautifully the systems interlock and work. I am completely happy, what a beautiful piece of work the gentlemen have delivered for the virtual pilots. Definitely recommended. It is now 7:30 PM here and we are celebrating New Year's Eve. Thanks for the tutorial the info really helps. I just completed my first flight using Vnav and A/T after the update, with your help. It was a little shaky, but the passengers made it without spilling too much of their martinis.
They really should be using Adult Sippy cups ... you can fit more in and keep them cooler...

Wait till you see what you get to do with version2.
One feature I would love to see is being able to choose other things on the PFD split screen like using charts there instead of system pages. Besides that, this plane has everything you’d want to be as real as you can be! Love this update.
That will come eventually after the AAU1 Beta sees the new WT G3000 release. It already does this in the TBM and Longitude if you are on the AAU1 Beta. Once it is further along MG will look to move all of the custom pages and work from the OLD WTG3000 and put them into the new one.. at which point you will get split screens and cool features .. However no charts... unless Navigraph finally makes it happen :)
@@LesOReilly the no charts would just be in the default aircraft, correct? Navigraph should still work in the H jet after the aau1 update?
Not if the mod is not brought over. That was not done by FFX that was done by WT. note that Navigraph has stated they will do something after AAU1. However no details at this time.

Really enjoyed all these videos on the hjet. Recently bought the plane and wanted to learn to fly it, so these videos were awesome in the way we could fly along with you and get a great amount of detail on how everything works. My only small gripe, was this video didn't have chapters like the past, which made it hard to forward through to get ur flight plan and then restart the video to follow along.
Yeah not sure why the chapter markers did not export on this one .. Will keep that in mind for the next one to double up on it to make sure they are there

No it can’t release with those as they are in Beta … FFX has stated they will look at it as the beta and changes are steady. There is not even documentation currently.
As for the E2 - yes based on the specs published regarding the up coming model.
What a machine. What a simulation. Now to decide whether to get this or the SF50? Makes sense to get both 😊👍
They are both a lot of fun ... though the HJet has a restroom...

One quick question - any idea why the PFD Settings persistence hasn't been addressed? I'm still having to set 'Bearing 1 / Bearing 2' for every flight, which is really annoying. Thanks.
Not sure… I thought that was working for me.. I guess that might have to wait for the AAU1 G3000.

Great video, great model, great jet. Just a small observation: at 51:25 the PFD’s horizon line doesn’t line up with the actual horizon. Maybe this will be corrected sometime.
I think this has been discussed in other places before .. but the Synthetic vision horizon is not always equal to what you AI Horizon would be.. which is what the line depicts

Have you configure some buttons on the alpha or the bravo ? I don't know how to configure this with my hardware. (Sorry for my bad english)
They are configured on my Streamdeck and some knobs. All events are listed in the bindings documents.

Spad next let’s me add bindings and controls that are not available in the standard sim binding interface.

The Jet was being tested by multiple users some like me staying on Release others were testing the AAU1 Beta... See the FFX Discord for an official statement on the Vision and the next update it will have in the next week.

Amazing stuff, like a mini-Airbus! One question, I noticed you manually reduced the altitude knob when it was almost top of descent. Did you do this just because you were getting impatient, or do you have to do it each time to start the descent phase of VNAV?
Garmin requires that the Pilot Set the ALTS to the next constraint or Lower it will not change your ALTS for you and if you don't change it then when you press VNAV it just goes out... since your already at the ALT that is in your ALTS. In Garmin World the moment you capture your ALT you can change the ALTS without worry of anything changing till you tell it how to get there --- ie VS/FLC/PIT or VNAV.

Very nice job, I just purchase the HJET. There is, however no PERF tab after accept initialization. Was this part removed? Or, am I missing something?
Watch the most recent version 2 video as well as see the new version 2 manual / guide for the full version 2 AAU1 data. There is speed bugs for setting those and then the VNAV speeds are all in the VNAV page found in the flight plan page on the left.
With the E2 livery loaded in the sim, is it also necessary to enable the E2 Mode in Sim Actions to have the auto throttle to work? Thanks for your very informative and easy to understand videos, much appreciated.
Yes you have to enable that Button .. however it has persistence so once you do it once it will stay that way no matter which livery you load...

I have that on my Long Press of the same button that on short press does the AP OFF .. the AFM says to only use it 50AGL or above but I don't see anything that says it will automatically take it out .. and since I had to watch it like twice I am going to say I turned it off since it was past the 50 ft when the light went out :)

Les, do you have anything about using the TM TCA in this Hjet? I've got the throttles "sort of"working by playing around with some LVARs but it's far from perfect.
yes there is one specifically for that ... There is a playlist for HJet and even better in the SPAD UI under HOME - Video Guides you will find a plethora of sections that then have all of the Videos in them... Including a specific HJet section
Just watched this again and am puzzled by one thing. Am I right in thinking that when activating approach mode, the auto throttle also changes mode to control airspeed appropriately all the way down, including limiting speed so that flaps can be deployed safely. Thanks again for such an information packed tutorial.
Yea it has speed limits it slows to and as you set the stages of flaps it slows closer in to the next stage and then when fully out an close to the FAF it will slow down to to approach speed. You still have to disconnect at 200 feet and manually control.

How do you decouple the two MFD/GTC screens? The input and display is fixed on both screens and I don't see a way to change it?
As per the manual and v2 update. You are in a LITE livery and you need a non LITE to enable both.
Would be nice to get a closer view of the GTC while you are navigating.

Can you give a specific time where this is a problem? Watching it in 1080p on a 24inch Monitor I can see everything on the GTCs...
how do i get the center displays to do different things? I have the MFD split but it shows the same thing on both center control panels
You loaded a “Lite” livery. That has mirrored GTC and PFDs. You need to load a non lite. Then also use the left knob to select which split your working on.
How are things like cabin / cockpit window icing and cockpit night lighting? Any improvement with those? The icing was way overdone, you'd touch a cloud for a few seconds and already have a heavy layer of ice over the windows, with anti-ice on and the cabin / cockpit temps turned all the way up. And the night lighting CRT screen glow on the cockpit walls and struts didn't change with intensity if you lowered the display's brightnesses. It stayed a very bright glow on the cockpit window struts and side walls.
full changelog is reviewed during the cruise phase of flight in this video .. you can also see it on the announcement discord channel. Icing fixes are listed in them.
@@LesOReilly Thanks, looking forward to it. Hopefully there can be some fixes to the cockpit night glow. Can't get the cockpit dark enough at night with that CRT screen glowing extremely bright on the walls and struts.

Anyone know in the auto pilot what CPL is used for it’s under the AT I can’t find anyone talking about it’s use anywhere.
It’s for picking which side is controlling the AP - ie Left FD or Right side. Since the sim does not have independent sides it is not implemented.
Im unable to click database status in the HJET since this recent update. Anyone else have this issue?
AAU1 G3000 does not have Navigraph Support ... Navigraph will be implementing a new plugin for this once they have the documentation from working title..
Unlike the Vision Jet and the Longitude the GTCs are too tiny in VR. Hard to read. And the knobs are tiny. I don’t think they are modeled right. They should look the same in all three jets. My big beef is I can’t read them because of the size. Otherwise I like this jet.
maybe.. I don't know. I don't use VR.. Also cant you just "lean" over then in VR?
@@LesOReilly yes but it’s a lot of leaning. I prefer the Vision and Longitude because don’t have to lean so close. GTC module is the same size in those jets.

How do you set a keybind for the Checklist?
They are all listed in the Keybindings document.
How do you determine what the trim should be for takeoff?
usually around 4.0 with Take Off Flaps set. you will see little Triangles next to the trim tape where you see the value of the trim.. They will go Green when they are in the acceptable window. I would recommend using the Flight Tutorial Document and following along with that flight as it walks through all this stuff to get you comfortable with a quick flight

You can’t turn it off. If your looking for a way to use less resource then just use a LITE labeled livery. It duplicates the left side to the right side.
How do you enable VSC on the MFD in the H Jet and also the Vision jet?
what do you mean by VSC ?
or do you mean the VSD? if so you will find that at the 10:50 mark of the video .. Note that the VSD is not available in the Vision Jet..

Man I have an issue where all the screens suddenly resets.. In the end the game crashes. SO frustrating
Let me guess ... XBOX .. This is a MSFS issue with Memory Allocation on XBOX.. the biggest culprit is scenery add ons and even the "hand crafted" not handling LOD well. Even flying in the Air going over Heathrow you will have a massive LOAD in for all the memory needed..
@@LesOReilly Yes, XBOX Series X! I got it to work in the end by avoiding places such as London. Haven’t tried it on my computer yet but I hope it works well for me there! Thanks for the info, and the video was very helpful as well!
Also decluter your MFD in map settings(Touch controller top Left after selecting to display Maps on MFD) and remove a lot of the things like cities roads etc .. also consider turning off Synthetic Vision on the PFD settings (under the PFD softkeys for pfd settings)

No . it's the same number of Seats .. Almost no airplanes (especially GA Planes and Light jets) are able to have Full Passengers, Luggage and Full Fuel .. There is always tradeoffs you have to make when doing your weight and balance.

One other thing - early on you said the new version carries “a ton” more fuel, but later on you said it’s only 300 pounds. That’s a big discrepancy; which is it?

A Lot more fuel not the Value if the word is used to describe weight.. NBAA IFR Range increases from 1223 NM to 1547 NM which is 324 NM which is a 26% increase or over a Quarter the previous range increase. With the increase in MTOW going up by 500lbs that means the Fuel and People both increased in useful capacity in a massive way when we talk about planes of this size.

Does this plane accept flight plans prepared in the game map or only simbrief?
You can make a flight in the world map and it will load it. What you see happen regarding this in the TBM would be the same. It’s easy to enter the flight plan manually in the plane though which is more like would be done in the real thing.
@@LesOReilly I'm asking because I flew PMGD 737 and I had to save the plan on simbrief and load it to fmc in aircraft there was no other way it's pretty annoying I like to have a quick plan in game menu and load it up to the plane it's more convenient, unfortunately, PMDG aircraft don't allow that.
@@Voltomess because PMDG is a WASM aircraft outside of the sim. Not a JS/HTML in the sim.

Button Binding or you press the Button on the side of the throttle .. the manual is fully detailed and can be found on the Flight FX website .. also links are in the GTC Sim options on the third tab
