Bruce used to bartend in NY when he was a struggling young actor, so when the Captain said, “he could be a bartender for all we know.” It was I think the director giving a nod to Bruce’s humble beginnings

Great reaction to a classic action/Christmas movie. My favorite fun fact is when Hans (Alan Rickman) falls from the building his expression was real as the production team decided to release him to fall without warning, so his reaction was legitimate. He actually fell about 8 feet to an airbag. The big blonde guy, Karl, is Alexander Gudonov, a professional ballet dancer who was once the premier dansuer (dancer) for the Bolshoi Ballet who defected to America in 1979. The Soviets were not happy about it, but luckily it didn't become a major international incident.

Hans Gruber is played by Alan Rickman, who did in fact play Professor Snape in the Harry Potter movies. He was a highly acclaimed stage actor in Britain, but this was his first film role. He hit it out of the park!! It's considered one the classic villain portrayals in film history.
Die Hard 2 takes place at an airport and in planes. It's definitely worth watching. The third movie is great too.
Yeah, I still have to watch Die hard 2 but that is why I saw the first one :)

As for not hearing the disturbances, you have to realize just how huge that building is...and most of the action is taking place no lower than the 30th floor, and up.
The real romance is the bromance between John and Al.
If you want more action movies that happen in a plane I suggest you see Passenger 57 ,Executive Decision , Flightplan, and Red Eye

Ah yes, the first movie I saw in the cinema with my parents. I was only six...yeah my parents are weird 🤪 Still the best action movie ever, great performance by every member of the cast.

If you are into comedies, or and Science fiction combined, check out Back to the Future trilogy. A classic.
Another suggestion is the first 2 Terminator movies. You will be shocked part 2 of this one. Trust me.

I would say is an action movie that takes place during Christmas but not necessarily a Christmas movie

You definitely need to watch Die Hard 2, but it's definitely best to have watched this first. You don't _strictly_ need to have done, but it is definitely much better.
