So here is the deal with the Magswitch job, our products are sold mostly through dealers (Rockler, ACME, Taylor, Woodcraft, etc), so we need a Someone to manage these relationships.
Experience in sales is the only hard requirement, business to business retail sales experience would be ideal. Familiarity with Magswitch woodworking product and an understanding of why they are cool is also ideal, thats really why I’m reaching out through my platform, as this seems more likely for my audience.
For the right candidate we could work out a signing bonus to cover relocation to the Boulder Colorado area, if this sounds interesting to you then send and email to:
    hr@magswitch.com
telling us why you are interested and a resume and/or LinkedIn profile.
    Full Job responsibilities:
    · Increasing inclusion of Magswitch Woodworking products in all dealer marketing, and woodworking publications
    · Enforcement of Dealer regulations including MAP policies
    · Engagement with dealers to position Magswitch woodworking products more prominently in stores and online
    · Gaining awareness of, and removing barriers that would otherwise prevent increased adoption of Magswitch woodworking products
    · Management of calendar discount events with individual dealers
    · Field occasional woodworking related customer service inquiries
    · Product Management: Analyze sales trends as well as customer and dealer feedback, to determine and report on strategies and tactics for every woodworking product with the help of the Maker Products vise president
    · Identification, solicitation, and onboarding of new high potential Woodworking dealer partners
    · Tracking of all prospective opportunities in Salesforce
    · Development of metrics and reports to track the progress of the above responsibilities and show correlation to increased revenue
Also, we need e-commerce, digital marketing’s and mechanical engineers, so you can reach out to that same email if that is your background and you are interested in Magswitch.

I haven't read all the comments so no one has suggested it, I would think the wheel assembly would be less of a trip hazard if they were rotated by 90° to the position they are mounted now.

  • @leonardocarvajaldoreste2838

La idea esta muy buena, pero es muy costosa difícil y poco práctica. Existe muchas formas de realizar el mismo resultado sin utilizar los imanes y las barras de hierro. 👍 Saludos desde Caracas, Venezuela.

Interesting idea. Thinking out loud here. That could be built in the base of a bench just making the magnets accessible from the inside of the bench. Making it mobile but not having any wheels or casters sticking out

    • @AndrewKleinWW
      @AndrewKleinWW  Před rokem

Definitely, and if you thought about maximizing the mechanical advantage of the magnets a bit more than I did you wouldn't need such large/expensive ones as I used.

Love this build (as all of your builds.) But my question with a lot of the builds I see that drop (or raise) one wheel at a time is whether or not there's a chance of the base racking over time?
Most of the plans I see of this kind can remedy that possibility with a bridge or joining piece between the casters. That's not the case here, unless you build a "U" shaped treadle that would allow them to keep a foot on it until both mag switches are released and let them go together.
Or is that possibility or racking mitigated by the addition of the cross struts you added?
I'm always hesitant anytime I see that the corners have to move somewhat independently, but not certain how much concern is warranted and how much is just me worrying needlessly.
I'd love to know your thoughts. It may save me a buttload of design and construction time!
