I bought this product on my own to restore the Headlight Lens on a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. I purchased the 3M 39008 Headlight Lens Restoration System on Amazon and the kit came with enough supplies to restore both headlights. It took me around an hour and a half to do both headlights and I am super happy with the results!

Today I restored the headlights on my 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350. I'm very happy with the results. The brighter headlights help me see better at night and the car looks so much better! I watched this video before I started which gave me the confidence to proceed. This is a nice kit - the sanding disks, buffing pad and polishing compound are all designed to work together and of 3M quality. The Velcro that holds the sanding disks and buffing pad is super strong to get the job done. It took me about an hour to do the sanding and polishing of both headlights. I'm glad I had a spare battery charged - the drill battery died shortly into the sanding on the second headlight. All in all - a good experience and I wish I had done it sooner!

3/7/21 just got this today, and absolutely loved the results. I took the front bumper off HG hyundai azera to get the best result possible. I also did fog lights during the process as well.... turned out very nice. 8:30 pm, looks much better at night now.

Thanks for your video. Like most guys I do not want to read pages of instructions 🙃. Your video was confise and to the point. I have an Audi S8 and an A6. All four headlights were in bad shape. Poor visibility at night since the headlights were so foggy. The cost to replace all 4 headlight assemblies would be about $300. Bought this product and a new Dewalt drill for about $200. Watched your video as I was doing both cars. Took about 1 1/2 hours to do the 4 headlights a d wash off both cars with my garden hose. The headlights look BRAND NEW, beyond what I thought possible. Anyone on the fence should buy this product and follow the instructions in this video. You will not regret it.

I used the Chris Fix method of "permanently" restoring my headlights and ruined them. I was so disgusted that I bought new headlights and had to have them professionally installed. I wasn't sure what to do with the original headlights but now that I have seen your review and demonstration I am sure I can restore them. Then I just have to decide if I want to hold onto them in case the next car owner would rather have OEM headlights or if I want to sell them. This was a nice clear no-nonsense demonstration. Good job.

Great video just did my 2008 Tacoma unless i used high beams I could see nothing just bought it. I only used one 500 grit and one 800 grit. My lens was so baked it turned pure white with the 500 grit like snow ion the first pass it must have been soft.Had a big scratch in one lens tried to get it out but it was too deep.Use plenty of water using the 3000 grit it will pay off do not let it get dry. They look like new lenses do not get scared when they go solid white like snow using the 500 grit. They came out mint.saved me coin did not have to buy new lenses. Digital David says he is showing you....."HOW TO RESTORE HEADLIGHTS PERMANENTLY"....
Sorry, boys and girls. What Digital David obviously doesn't know or say is that there is only one way to "permanently" restore your headlights. The real secret to "permanently" restoring your headlights is.......Replace your old headlights with new headlights. That's the ONLY way.
Headlight restoration works well, but the restoration does not last long......Just be prepared to redo the restoration every 8 months to 18 months, depending on how much your car spends its time out in the destructive UV sunlight.

It all depends which country you live in? Here in the UK, For example summer temperatures rarely top 40deg and only for short time!! Provided at the end of restoration you apply a certified Clearcoat with added UV protection, It should last longer than 18months? Plus after care is important, Every time the car is washed a headlight wax should be used a quick dab of polish to the lens and buff up with a clean micro fibre cloth, Some quality polishes contains uv protection!!! 👍🤔

@@DigitalDavid I have done the restoration on one of my cars without finishing with a clear coat just sanding and puffing and the result was great but within few months I started seeing fading again on the headlights. After that I bought another car with faded headlights and did some research and found one guy saying that non-yellowing UV resistant clear coat must be used to prevent the headlights from fading again. I did the same process and then finished with Rust-oleum non yellowing clear , it's a white can with some blue lines on it. The result was very good and the headlights looked nice with no signs of fading or yellowing until I rid of the car a year and a half later. The clear I used says that it bonds to plastic.
