cover discussions - Jahmal Williams

We meet up with Jahmal near his home in Brooklyn to talk about his covers. First is the S-Mag cover at the Brooklyn Banks shot by Geoff Graham. Next is the 43 Mag cover shot in the streets of Manhattan by Allen Ying. And finally is his recent VAGUE mag cover shot by Pep Kim. He shouts out Tony Alva, Jamal Simmons, and Mike Carroll for having influential covers. May 2023.

We got funding from the city of Boston to build a prefab park in my town while Lynch Family Skatepark was in the works. October 2002 my small local crew and some city volunteers put the park up. Nobody knew it was gonna happen but Jahmal showed up and did a one man demo. Only lives in the memory of the people who were there. Still my best skate memory to date, always thankful
