I live in regional Australia and that made me nostalgic of the chilly nights with the occasional car going past and the quiet city buzz while I walk place to place. It’s a very calming and pleasant experience hearing that noise
I prefer the re mix dub step version found in Melbourne….oh to have these on my island of Jersey……I too recorded the sounds of these brilliant crossings…..
Literally on the part after she says "Duh", while the plantsvszombies like music plays, you can hear It better a few moments before she starts singing again I tried to write in english dude, sorry if I didn't explain myself very well
Braulio Luna De La Cruz I’m really sorry but the only thing I hear is just very fast beeps that (for me) don’t resemble any song, especially any Billie Eilish one. If you could provide me with a more in depth explanation I’d be ecstatic.
@@user-hd7ej9om1u Look, in the Bad Guy Song, in the Chorus aftee she says Duh, there are those beeps that you say, but at the same time those beeps are playing, there is this Traffic light sound, but at a lower Frequency, its much easier to hear It with a headset, and its even more easier to hear It Right after the bips stop and before she starts singing another verse, Even though you hear It all the time the beeps are playing
@@user-hd7ej9om1u If you still don't get it, listen to the music after she says "duh" and if you listen closely you can hear it. It kinda sounds like hi-hats
What I find weird about Sydney's crossing buttons is that it has a thudding instead of a normal bop, the ones all near me have the same sound but its less of a thud noise
In a Malcolm (tv serie) episode there was a music that sounded so much like Bad Guy melody, I mean really. So I'm looking to if it's stated as a sample. It's not. This got me here lol. But I really need to find the music from Malcolm episode.
Sounds for crosswalks are useful for all people. Once you get used to the sound, you stop looking at the lights. However, I like the sounds of crosswalks in Hong Kong better, or maybe it's what I was used to.
what is the actual name of this sound? i was just at crossing lights now in melbourne city CBD and the rhythm of that sound perfectly synced up with the song i was listening to lol
And now immortalised in Billie Ellish’s “Bad Guy”
Orbital used it over 20 years ago in "Just Walk".
@@aikighost Don't forget Propellerheads. They also used it in Lethal Cut
@@frstwhsprs I wasn't familiar with either of these two songs. Thanks.

Who knew Billie Eilish was inspired to have a beat of this 🤣
She really just showed it to Finneas, and he sampled it in Bad Guy.
Wtf I legit don’t get it how does this sound anything like bad guy?
@@marcusireland5696 Finneas put it in the song when he was producing it.

Same one in Dublin , Ireland!
i never realised other countries had different crossing sounds. that's why I was so surprised when everyone else was surprised at our crosswalks
Orbital sampled that sound in their song "Walk Now..." from the early 90's.
Sounds similar to the ones in Singapore.
moved away from australia a few months ago and i had a stranger urge to hear this sound again. ty.
I miss Dublin because of the crosswalk sound we dont haw that sound in Denmark
As someone from Dublin I never knew that this came from australia...
That sounds excactely like the traffic light crossings we have in Dublin!
It sounds like the crossings in Singapore
Why is this still nostalgic I use these nearly every day-
I love Sydney & Melbourne traffic lights.
It’s the same as the ones in Singapore!

Wow! Twenty-six seconds that's a tremendous amount of footage
Nots just Sydney, we got em in vic too
I have forgotten about that. I was just a kid when i lived in Australia. That beat will make you walk fast. 😁
I always thought I heard this in the background on Jason Nevins' remix of "It's Like That"
Which other countries apart from Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and Singapore are these push buttons found?
South Africa
I miss it a lot.
I've heard these all over NZ as well
Wdym Sydney? This is a thing in all of Australia, not just Sydney

Same in NZ.
Im going to use this for a Hardcore Trap beat xd
Not sure how I ended up on this but I wish UK crossings had this noise rather than loud beeping that sometimes doesn't even work.
