I'm quite sure the drill is part of a 'gritty' part of the song and is meant to sound unnerving rather than enjoyable at that moment. Surely it's more that people like the dark atmosphere of that part of the song as part of an experience? Like watching a horror film for a thrill etc.

one of the most tolerable jimmy interviews because : the guest didn't get fake hyped nor did he act lethargic, so jimmy never went over the edge.

I love how they incorporated the crossing noise into ‘Bad Guy’. Fun fact: It actually has a purpose. It is designed for blind or vision impaired people to listen to so they know when to cross the road safely. Proud to be Australian!! 🇦🇺🇦🇺

It’s not unique to Australia. It was always in my neighborhood from 20-30 years back and I live in Singapore.

@Gernot Hassknecht i'm sorry if this got you agitated. I understand what you say just now and it's totally legit that FINNEAS finds it interesting probably because it's different in the States. I am amazed that he has such good ears and used it in the music. As a statistics student, I get worked up when I see words like 'most countries', and I hope I didn't appear challenging or nitpicking when offering a counterpoint to what you said at the very beginning.
Fun fact: The reason it makes that sound is so the vision impaired know when to walk and the also the seeing eye dogs are trained to recognise the sound as well.
