    ABOUT ME:
I started the CZcams Channel during the 2020 pandemic. My role as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist was put on hold and people were not able to see their doctors due to COVID. I was keen to try and 'do my bit' so I decided to try and help people manage their conditions at home with some practical, educational videos.
I am hugely passionate about delivering evidenced based, active care to help people help themselves. The channel is all about trying to provide people with as much accurate information as possible so that people can manage their own conditions and their own pain. I want to promote independency and optimism, focusing on the things you can do as opposed to the things you can’t.
If you would like to work together I do also complete one to one consultations.
I hope you find my videos helpful 😀

@@GenuinePhysio I am physio using manual therapy as support for active rehabilitation. In my experience manual therapy is valuable, not to abandon but very seldom used without active treatment and further patient education how to build up the muscle and the posture. It is also important not to „scare“ people with the MRI findings but to focus on, what is everything possible with all those findings

Good question, many different answers. A few thoughts: you should feel listened to, the assessment and treatment should be a collaborative thing you complete together not something that is done to you, evidenced based narratives around manual therapy (not advising you're being realigned/put back in place - this is nonsense, and often makes you go back for multiple sessions), your treatment and plan should be completely bespoke to you and not a general one size fits all approach.
