    "I will be doing a fundraiser for the 409th that will focus on two areas of support, the drone team and training. The battalion is deployed in the East and doing some great work. A former colleague of mine from the 131st has been sharing a lot of his experience with the drone team. After speaking to my friend and the commander of the battalion, I now have a list of equipment that will be transformative for the entire battalion. These civilian/ commercially bought items include Alientech receivers, antenna and cabling. I'm particularly keen to include training aids for the battalion. Thank you all for the support and best wishes over the last few months. I may be home at the moment, but my heart is in Ukraine."

      excellent point and imho THE point of the how and why hurrying the hell up with Nato or J10 (part of Nato) readiness for full (& thus overwhelming & then some) 'engagement' w/ the 'russians'. Allowing ru to be almost entirely unimpeded from mass torture of entire cities (estimated now that half the large city of Kherson's population was tortured!!!! FFS! That's just to show how motivated the russians are, and they obviously ARE ,or they wouldn't be doing that and wouldn't be terrorizing everyone by having initially raped and burned the girls/women's bodies on the sides of highways out in the open? Plus the U.N documented sex-torture chambers, replete with little bins of pulled teeth? EVERYTHING about russia now is medieval: from the court system (w/ its formulas and drama-scripts and even jester type char's!) to the repeated killing of high level ppl: this is an actual heart -of-darkness nationstate right now, and we all need to wake...the ...hell...up! This will not slow even slightly until it's physically stopped. At this point now that info is out on areas like Kherson (which btw ARE the vital areas for Ukr, they are the port regions), this is a no brainer. The J10 and others may need to contain Ru , even on the other side of Ru (pacific) within a few years, if it does not stop. TIMING.. is..everything

    • @piseag458
      @piseag458 Před 27 dny

      @18_rabbit the door needs to be firmly slammed shut on this evil regime,russia sees west as weak indecisive and vacillating for not stopping them, so are back for more.,russia prised out Crimea ,is now prising out chunks of Ukraine and is aiming for the rest of Ukraine by then its unlikely we'll ever get russia out of Ukraine,russia will go on for decades unless we *show* the russian people putin (their all conquering tsar) is weak.. the Wests conundrum is doing so at the same by not looking like *we* actually want russia! ... by taking so long i think it's become too late for that,putinism is now firmly embedded in russian psyche.. and western people and citizens are more fickle and probably aren't up for a long fight,changes in government,election cycles etc..so .. well .you can see the russian strategy as well as I can.

    Thank you very much for many extremly qualified and interesting conversations.
    I am from Germany and I am not a historian. Nevertheless I do have ancestors and my eyes and ears are open. I read a lot. Unfortunately I often find that the role of Germany in particular in the two big wars is seen with too many prejudices. It's so easy to refer to "Nazis" - as Putin does. Could this point already make you aware of the fact that it could be much of propaganda in dealing with that word!? And tragically it's no longer my country alone but nearly all western nations are becoming "Nazis" in that primitive generalizing manner.
    There are many good channels informing brilliantly about Ukraine an Russia. Concerning their own history they seem to be blind. Especially most of British and American historians seem to be unable to explore what has not been taught in the university where you mostly hear the story of the winner...
    This comment is not primarily referring to this good talk with Macer Gifford. It is meant as a suggestion to silicon curtain generally. And it is not a criticism! Despite the point which I expressed above, I really love your work!!!

    I believe that Ukraine should have already recruited and trained every Ukrainian aged 16 to 60, but after training they should have sent them back to the civilian workforce. They should all already have 3 months of training plus another 2 weeks out of every 4 months to brush up on the latest strategies.
    When Ukraine experienced the successful Kharkiv offensive, they should have immediately mobilized several hundred thousand of these recruits to police the newly captured territory so that the experienced soldiers could continue to advance. The experienced soldiers shouldn’t have had to stop to perform the policing tasks.
