Great banter. She was the only performer to ever host American Bandstand. What an honor! Another feather in her cap.

On Bruce Sudano's bio says that they met in 1977 and a few months later they started dating. They married 3 years later.

There was no lack of opportunity; Brooklyn Dreams was one smash single away from becoming a major group on Casablanca Records but my impression at the time was that they were putting out records that just didn't quite catch fire like Donna's did. Too bad Giorgio didn't produce a few great dance tracks with them to help get them more connected with the dance music crowd. The only one I seem to remember was "Street Man" but I know there were others. I'm so glad Donna had a great marriage to keep her grounded while her career was soaring.

Brucie Sudano once head butted world heavyweight champion Larry Holmes in 1981 after he and Donna summer went backstage for a meet and greet. Larry Holmes made some rather inappropriate remarks and brucie Sudano went toe to toe with the champ. It was only after don king intervened that Larry and brucie separated. Bruce Sudano is a motherfucking beast

@@bigolebot ring magazine july 81 after the Holmes spinks fight. Brucie showed Holmes the mean streets of Brooklyn. Don king had to intervene.
