Unfortunately, this channel has been demonetized by CZcams for the third time and therefore the Game Movie Vault has been closed. It was fun for over 10 years but I can no longer afford to spend the time to make these videos without being reimbursed by CZcams. I have started a second channel that focuses on Diablo 4 and I am thinking of starting another separate Game Lore channel very soon.

Dr. Allyn, the doctor on your left who examines you after you are turned into a strogg, is voiced by steve blum. More known for voicing Tank Dempsey in COD and Gray in Bulletstorm!
Also voices Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop, Sinamoi in Dead Island, several characters in Killer7, Captain Devin Ross in Clive Barker's Jericho and Sam in Metro Exodus. He's also done various roles of other characters in other games and shows, usually background types. I believe he does one of the voices in one of the Ghost In The Shell movies too.
Yeah I came to say that. Steve Blum's voiced a whole lot more characters than those. Wolverine comes to mind

If Quake 5 will be released by the developer's decision makings, Doomers will purchase the next episode of Quake 4 without any hesitation. Because they have had so curious feelings about the protagonist Matthew Kayne's other dangerous missions even though over 13 years already passed since they had played it. As you know the general said that like this "Corporal Matthew Kayne, You have a new order" in the final scene of Quake 4.

This was one of the few games I bought brand-new. It was fun, but the most memorable part was the operating table/conveyor belt scene. I had to look away from the screen a few times.

The AI in this game was almost FEAR-level smart. Loads of replayability
Railgun and hyperblaster from tacticals were far more dangerous than hovertank...
I don't quite understand how the other marines can be mean to the guy who just looks like a Strogg, but was lucky enough to not be controlled by the Strogg. Come on guys, the man just had to watch himself and his fellow comrades be cut apart and turned into Strogg.
People have a natural disposition for hate for things that do not look like them. Children have this natural in group preference when placed with other ethnicity outside of their race, they simply prefer their own. Humans grow up with it and either learn to control it or let it control them. Across many cultures people practically submit to their own groups teachings.
This is okay at times, but the problem is you need to be able to clearly define a clear threat! Should you be attacked the natural recourse is to fight or flee. Most hate and pain can be a form of self preservation. As if you didn't hate the Strogg you would be easy pickings, so you would have to have some level of hate within you. What you are seeing from some of them is a healthy display because the HATE of the sight of Strogg means they can kill and easily identify their enemy. Like red versus blue, but things become complicated when there are two opposing sides yet an individual on each side would more or less work well together if the two sides did not have such animosity for one another. The fact that they do not eagerly act on this impulse makes them better soldiers and you could even say overall people. It also shows how unified they are even as being on the same team.
The problem with hate is that it can be observed and not measured, because of this we have to arrive on generalities. Everyone has a built in hate to them, therefore everyone is racist. The difference is there is hate, normal hate, proving hate, bullying hate, extreme hate which makes you borderline racist. Notice I said borderline! In cases of extreme hate and beyond we have to search that such a person woke up day or night thinking and acting out their hate which in itself is difficult because you cannot police the mind. In general we have to determine whether a person is conscious of their actions and test their mental faculties. Hateful people like a bully seek to alter another person in the general scope, but who doesn't? Every person has their own tolerance level.
There is much more to this but I'll leave with this. Some people hate other people and things for a reason because they've either been harmed or burned in a particular way. For example bad business deal from a certain group of people, or a bad relationship between the sexes.
When separating the two sexes and generalizing and observing on your own, you will find that hate is far more often found in the female than it is the male. Observe on your own! Most men once they know things or accept their limits most of them can't hate.
The hate in this game mirrors reality as in men tend to use their hate or extreme hate for two things and two things only..... Hunting and War or the easier word killing.
You can easily identify a different human simply based on skin colour, as you would an enemy uniform, or a person attacking you. You have to know what the enemy looks like, you have to know what to hate. Any less and you might get yourself killed.
Things become muddy and difficult when it is not only your own race using this function against you, but rather females in general. This is why it is difficult for men to hate women, because they'd rather hate another group, of men in particular. The same way we play video games red versus blue.

First game i played on my 360 (rented) game, story was awesome, hence intro. Loved this game, awaiting quake 5 to continue the story..
it is so disheartening to see both Raven soft and ID on game that is just meh.
Raven did some amazing things with Q2 engine. Id made that engine it should have been a thundering success not meandering mess.

I remember playing quake 3 arena when I was young. Three years later at a comp shop I saw quake 4 and thought it was the same... Little did I know how wrong I was. I never tried to quit the game so hard as I did back then (I am terrified to all horror related stuff)

Quake was originally conceived to be a Lovecraftian/Cthulhu FPS game filled with gothic and fantasy elements as seen in Quake 1. However, after director John Romero left id Software, the company decided to forego those aesthetics and convert Quake into a typical space marine series like DOOM. It was also the fact they couldn't come up with another IP name and decided to simply call the sequels Quake 2, 3, and 4.

Only Quake 2 and 4 are related to each other, Quake 3 Arena is practically id Software's smash bros, with lots of characters from different id software games and new ones added.

Takes place not very long after Quake 2. Seriously not a lot of time went by after 2. Within a very short amount of time, another fleet was assembled to quickly take advantage of the opportunity bitterman made by taking down both the strogg main aerial defense canon, and the previous Makron.
From there all hopes were placed on truly crippling the Strogg by destroying the Nexus. Earlier in the game when the space marine core sent squads to use e.m.p's on 3 locations guarding the Nexus, this showed that despite the blow they were dealt with, the Strogg were still very capable of repelling marine forces off their world as they slaughtered all the other squads. The Marines were barely able to conquer a spec of territory to have 1 mobile base of operations on the planet.
Please do Doom 3 and Doom 2016.
