Unfortunately, this channel has been demonetized by CZcams for the third time and therefore the Game Movie Vault has been closed. It was fun for over 10 years but I can no longer afford to spend the time to make these videos without being reimbursed by CZcams. I have started a second channel that focuses on Diablo 4 and I am thinking of starting another separate Game Lore channel very soon.

Thank you for your support over the years!

This game was literally
Here's a gun
Your on drugs
Have some fun
So... Vietnam?
Maxime yeah
Dakota Frerking Alternate reality where Hillary Clinton was president and she got us into a war with the world? Like the global elites want?
Lmao in detroit become human, hillary clinton basiclly starts world war 3
Dakota Frerking idk why but that sounds like a plan
Real shit, this game and the concept had SO much potential to be revolutionary, and the whole thing with Duvall and Marino being 2 sides of the same coin could've played a part in that. With the right team and execution, this could've been something great
I agree. This game needs a complete remake.
They had the right team… but Ubisoft did all sorts of executive meddling.
This game had characters call each other F4G.. in 2023 thats hilarious
I love how the mantel soldiers die, so drugged up they don't even know that they're dying
19:58 the mantel soldier is screaming when he died or when the plane was going to crash
When you spot this video, and hear the intro "born in 2023" oh damn, time really catches up to you huh
Ending: Plot twist, he shoots him in the face and then leaves to expose evilness
I like how the story opens with the main character staring at the sun
the concept was good but poorly executed :/ sadly.
Love the helmet design+color :'D
Secave i agree
The original trailer for the game looked amazing
The concept is amazing. Don't question orders. Kill the bad guys. Have fun while doing it. Be a hero. But you're a drugged out super soldier killing innocent people.
rofl. people love throwing the term around "halo killer". halo killed itself, no other game was capable of such task
oh it's so true
343 Industries did that
It’s more of a Call of Duty killer.
Being a modern soldier fighting in some foreign, instead of an outer space planet.
Knack 2 babyy
The german voice actors are even better than the original. They sound more seriously and many and really matches shane and the other caracters
1:10:46
Shane: "No... we all are".
*Unpins grenade*
END
Alfayed Malik it's what I would've done
Disappointing ending.i wasted my life.
Would've been better than the actual ending
Yeah now that’s what I would have done, like literally he already saw the consequences of nectar and then he goes and uses it some more? Fuck him
My name's not Shane, Duvall!
In this game neither of the factions are good, but the player is the one in between
Know it’s been 5 years since it’s posted but Thanks for posting this brings back some good memories
No problem, thanks for watching!
This game has so much potential to be remastered, looking back the graphics are bad but the characters, storyline and concept is great. I have had good memories with this game
I haven't played this, but the story.. Holy shit, I thought they'd do the "You were playing on the wrong side but now you can make things right!" type a deal but uhhh, spoilers.
But other than that I really enjoyed this one, even if it was just the cutscenes.
SPOILERS
It turns out both sides have a twisted side.
I did not expect that at all, and I gotta say, it's very welcoming to me.
Since I saw the first twist coming a mile away.
Yeah. I wasn't expecting Marino to suddenly start speaking the same lines as Duvall.
The dialogue is like it's written by a 8 years old kid

Dear God I loved this game when I was young and felt sad when people gave it shit
Same I played this game on my ps3, it was great memories I hate the fact people hate on the game when they haven’t fully experienced the storyline
Great story. Poor story telling. Thats all
This game was my first ps3 game and I actually like it more the most others
I like your game movies man I actually enjoy them
2:59 Watchstrap's reaction to the C-17 being shot down by the Promised Hand SAM made me laugh a little.
At 28:30. Did anyone else got scared or startled by the,"JUST AN ANIMAL!!!" ?
Lane Coker I did
That scared the shit out of me when I first played this
OldBean UK I actually still close my eyes every time I go through that level. Fuck this game.
Also, I think I may have slipped a copy of Persona 5 or Catherine into my game. Oh, never mind.
I got scared by the face with yellow eyed
2023 huh... seems like we're right on track
dear god the voice acting is kinda cringy.
Lionl .
Lionl it's a old game
BOOSH!!
You calling me a fag?
Isn’t Teare voiced by the same guy who voiced Cole MacGrath from Infamous 2?
Edit: Oh, thank god, it isn’t.
These graphics used to hit different
Felt that
All that talk about free will being just a chemical? Hate just being a chemical? Love being just a chemical? Duvall is full of shit; he gave into hate by trying to avenge his squad, and he gave into love by whimpering about his mother at the end.
The only part I liked of this game is the destruction of the Mantel Land Carrier and that music that plays, it feels like a kind of conclusion that it's over
The death duval was actually emotional in my opinion
Mantel literally hired a bunch of kids out of high school, drugged them up, gave them advanced weaponry and let them loose like a pack of wild dogs. Everybody jokes about it, but it was totally believable to me that when Duval finally got clean in his dying moments, his first and last thought was of his mom
@@Enkarashaddam thats so sad😔
this game is surprisingly ahead of itself story wise
The story was great and characters were perfectly portrayed
I felt bad for the mantel soldiers just grunts.
I love this game to bad is so underrated
INSANE DEMON2025 same
Underrated? This game is so bad.. everything from the graphics, story and gameplay is and was horrible back then
How can you say that with a straight face?
@@daliilars3350 I said what I said😎
This and Jericho Squad was the first game I bought on the ps3 in 2008, I was 11 years old playing this badass game 🎉
This came out a year after Crysis.. Yeah, I know..
Yikes
The difference is that the first Crysis was a PC exclusive that utilized an advanced version of the Crytek Engine that previously powered the first Far Cry game. They also weren't constrained by the technical limitations of typical gaming consoles, so they could dump as much resources into the graphics, controls and gameplay mechanics as they wanted to without sacrificing performance and production quality.
...so?
BOOSH
Mr McCoolios BOOSH
I know this is late but the bad voice acting is acctually part of the game they were like collage kids on drugs so they had more soldiers they thats y they r so cringy in my oppinion
How many rocket launches does it take to kill one dude 😂
*SPOILER*
War...in the end, we are just all...animals
In the end, Merino and Duvall were the same. Pointless killing over some fucking drugs, and everybody is trying to find some moral high ground over the other. After all the times you avoided death, you were nothing more than meat to be eaten by the predators that controlled you in the first place. Those innocent people killed? "just an animal" and those soldiers wasted were "trying to do the right thing and fight the good fight". Bad news was too easy to get, and in this way everybody was coerced into this shithole.
Pretty great story, if only the game could've been a little better, then it'd be the highlight of great gaming...
honestly i think they had every intention of making a second one ( even though they thought the game would sell well) cause this game left on such a cliffhanger , it left on a "grass isnt always greener on the other side" kinda thing. Cause i bet the second one would have been them slaughtering mantel only to prove that the promise hand was just as bad, Carpenter questions the motives of merino and plans to defect, carpenter leaves the promise hand to take down nectar at the source, leaves promise hand and mantel to destroy eachother leaving both sides decimated or wounded, carpenter leaking mantels ways to the public only for the public to go into a mass protest, mantel shuts down and disbands while its leaders are taken to prison for the actions they have done. Carpenter goes mia to never be seen again and starts a new life.
They Just need to make another one To learn from there mistakes but the dev that made this game are nothing more then a memory now
this is a good storyline
If that's good, how bad are the other things... even quake's level end screens felt deeper than this ;-)
@@udirt to be fair, it's a great premise for a story about propaganda, belief and control, but was poorly executed.
@@squirrelmanyt6069 exactly. it was an extremely unique and interesting take on propaganda, and brainwashing etc. but the execution was absolute dogshit. Much like Cyberpunk but where as this game was poorly thought out, cyberpunk was just rushed to hell
Honestly, I think the ending is great. Finally not that Star Wars situation, where the rebels are always noble heroes. I mean, yeah, Papls was a bad guy, but were all the strormptroopers bad too?
…were all separatists bad, too?
@@NowioFel
When you think about it, for the citizens of the CIS, then no because the Galactic Republic was becoming old and corrupt, that's why all the people ever wanted was to free from corruption of the government.
Why the separate is were bad was because of two things
#1: leadership mostly comprise of corporate leaders and military figure heads, who were there just to lying the own pockets. (there were politicians but they were the only exceptions because they were the actual ones who wanted independence from the Republic).
#2: Darth Sidious / Palpatine in manipulated both sides of the Clone Wars.
There's actually of video about this topic you should check out if you're interested: czcams.com/video/UoWWMyFlFsU/video.html
Anyone can put a time stamp of the thumbnail with the broken helmet?..... you know
I think Merino was high on Nectar in the final cutscene
Nihilism the game.
soooo much potential waste. They explored such deep aspects. such a great story wasted on shoddy work. that burnt child's story could've been as deep as Menendez's sisters' tragedy.
I'm almost pissed at this game.
But the mantel is defeated and also the soldier who threw her in fire is dead also 58:15
I know. And such is a good thing. (I don't mean to disrespect to the developer's if i did)
But don't you feel it could've been better?
Hey, play Spec Ops the Line on PS3. It's what this game was trying to be
@@RealQueenBowsette I didn’t realize that until now always thought Mantel was gone for good , the idea of the story in haze is pretty good, if only haze was done correctly and properly, the concept of it was pretty well thought out, it’s unfortunate that this game will never reach the potential it chould have.
28:24 this shit scared the fuck out of me when i was a kid
Scared the hell out of me when I was recording it
if you ever feel useless. remember the intro at 0:18.
Lol is so bad told, its like it's written by a 8 year old kid
The whole game looks like it's made by a kid
If only a sequel about killing both sides would happen...... Shane ends everyone hahahha
7:00 jumpscare XD
Such a reflexive game.
This could've been a far better movie than a video game
Honestly I thought I saw a movie about this growing up
Eh, I think it was an early attempt to do what Spec Ops: The Line did. The Mantel soldiers live in this constructed reality created by propaganda and drugs to make war into, well, a game. But even after breaking free of Mantel, Carpenter ends up becoming another tool for an evil regime because he is only capable of violence. Much like how in the game you are basically just a floating camera and gun.
You see how it's an attempt at criticizing the FPS genre, right? But it's done very poorly. It wouldn't work removed from its medium.
So that's Haze. It's a good and meaningful story.
That’s nice sarcasm
I was not sarkastisk. But maybe he was. 🤔
Lol the story is absolutely terrible
@@axb3542 The story idea isn't bad at all, it's just that the storytelling and voice acting was piss poor. If you were to give this game to a more professional gaming studio, this could've been a good game.
This is way late so I apologize, buy in my opinion, it's an AWESOME story concept, but mediocre in the follow through and poor in the production and voice acting.
16:16 Nectar is so powerful it made the vehicle start floating above the ground.
well actually it’s the dosage of nectar, in gameplay if you are on nectar dead bodies will literally become invisible, so technically the tire looks like it’s floating but the rebels body is still under the tire it’s just the the nectar has rendered carpenter from seeing the body. Possibly to help the Mantel soldiers from dealing with the consequences from their actions.
Haze Developer: "Our Halo Killer.....what happened"
For me the multiplayer was the best
God I remember how hyped this game was before it came out..
macccerkiddd the "halo killer"
So is this game is just metal gear solid 4, but as one of the pmc's
I like Merino at first but it annoyed me to hear him quote Duvall.
War changes people. No matter which side you're on, you would be affected one way or the other. Sometimes to the point you end up becoming no better than the enemy, sometimes without knowing. War is depicted as a drug itself in the game and not even Merino is immune.
For some reason I keep coming back to this. Yes the gameplay is uninspired. Yes the voice acting is bad. But there is just something about the characters and the way they see the world that interests me. All the over the top "jock" behaviour and confidence of the troops, while corny, is exactly what the Nectar is supposed to do and that the company wanted out of its soldiers.
Jeez only 2 hours of real gameplay
2:13 I thought the bald dude was gonna shoot that other guy in the face
Black Mirror episode Men Against Fire has very similar plot, soldiers drugged so they can fight without conscience. Wonder if the creators of black mirror were inspired by this game
That is interesting, I've only seen a couple episodes of Black Mirror but I will check this one out. Thanks for the comment!
I get the idea of the drug making you less likely to notice traumatizing shit such as dead bodies, but the fact it makes dead bodies literally invisible to you is very stupid.
what are the censured curse words they said 15:55?
Probably serious racial slurs. Stuff even pre overly PC USA would avoid saying.
Does anyone know the guy with the barcode on his heads name?
Hitman
Everyone is tripping balls
Nice, human...is still ...HUMAN no matter the colour.
Commissar: .......😑
After reading on Wikipedia on the plot. The ending *spoiler*
The ending on Wikipedia says that Mantel hasn't learned from the use of nectar and whant to use to his own gains.
I don't know. The ending in the helicopter was cinda sudden. But before they should destroy the land carrier. There where something about Mantel I didn't like.
Do you think Mantela was entirely good?
How come no matter what.your with the bad guys...
How in the hell did they go from the glorious TimeSplitters to this shit? Ugh...
well, they did make the bad guys really hateable
I remember playing this when I was 8. Im 16 now.
Talk about junkies
• the games music is the best part. It can make all the worst parts worth it sometimes
• the shooting mechanics are the absolute worst part. So bad i quit playing within a few hours.
• the acting is bad, but combined with classic early 00s animation it becomes ironically bad
• story is generic for the most part, but you can tell the dev were passionately trying to accomplish something epic and I admire that
*Sessler voice*
I give this experience 3 booshes.. out of 5
*eats 4 rockets directly to the face
*falls down on the floor with no blood or any visible damage, crying like a bitch for 30 seconds
'shane... pls... don't tell my mom'
'ok'
Wow. What an amazing conclusion. I'm so sad I missed this when it first came out - fantastic story and acting here.
Ok?
This gane couldve been so much better but I heard it was overhyped I beat it in 2013 the glitches where outrageous voice acting was meh gameplay was good despite glitching
39:05 😂
So like that Black Mirror episode?
19:57 *GEORGE MILLER!?*
Ik probbly not alot of people might see this but this game has so much potential to be a good game. But sadly the company that made it didn't know how to sit down and execute it right. If it was put in the hands of someone who knew what they where doing it would have worked. I liked it personally. I wish it would have been better than it was and it had more time and though put into it but unfortunately no.
More like Ubisoft put their fingers in the pie that the dev team only had a basic understanding of creating in a limited timeframe.
@@squirrelmanyt6069 Ubisoft should have handed it over to a team that had the time to make it into a good game. Ubisoft I feel didn't know how to make that game or they just didn't give a shit.. again this game could have had so much potential.
Ah yes, the mid 2000s, when the USA were starting to awaken from their own haze of revenge fantasies. When the Vietnam war and the war on terrorism blended into a new style of anti-war media. The horror of the Vietnam war combined with the questional ethics and seizing of natural resources of the wars in the middle east. It's an interesting topic, shame that the game wasn't good.
The fact this game is so shit makes it so good
58:07 The FreeRadical devs when they had to rewrite the game’s story to please Ubisoft’s meddling.
No
42:51
that was a disappointing ending: (
Are these people drugged to hell?
You've lost so many subs because youre not playing any games anymore :c
I haven't played cs:go for like 6 months. I'm probably god awful now lol
Shane. Please. Don't tell my Mom
Okay.
Amazon
This didn't kill Halo... 343 did
Damn I think I just went back into time to 2014 gotta love this brings back memories like if you agree
The game is from 2008
Best first person shooter game ever
I thought this game was good, it's not as bad as people say about it .
7:00 🤤😲
1:11:35
HALO KILLER?!?!?! LOLLLLLLLLL
12:26
whoever made this game was horrible at life...
You should research how this turned into a Trainwreck.
I thought I was remembering the ending wrong but...no it's worse. He cries like a baby and literally says "Don't tell my mom." Jesus Christ, how embarrassing.
In terms of gameplay....its okay. The story is meh, the texture is bad, in general this coulda been so much better
CrimsonCarl it still was a cool new idea that not a lot of games had tried yet for its time
this game was so bad.
Damn this game sucked ass, i was really little when i first played this game. Seeing this game now, i don't remember it being this bad.
