A couple of questions have surfaced since this has been Posted
#1 When will documantation start on the Deere monitor if the SCV is set to constant?
The SCV will begin recording in about a second if it is set to constant extend when the switch is detented
#2 Can I set up my display to show a tillage pass rather than a planting pass and still get my Autopath information so i don't have doubled planting data in Ops Center?
Absolutly! The same rules still apply in setting up your display, just change the task on the impliment from seeding to tillage. As long as your AutoPath Ready To Record light is green you will be documenting rows for future Autopath Use. Then in Ops Center, select the tillage pass when sending Autopath data in the next setup file.

Great video! I've been trying to get autopath work in our planter since last year. We are still using the iso bus connector for some planter info like then the tank is empty. It also has the planter implement tied into it for implement guidance. The problem with that is that the work tab is auto and it can't be changed because that is not seeing any seed. Is there a way to change this? I've tried changing it to till or something. I'm thinking the best way to fix it is run power to the implement guidance from a separate wire or is there an easier way? Thanks

We’re still running a Deere Rate Controller for our liquid. Would you still recommmend making an entire other implement profile or just adding an operation to the existing liquid profile

Good info, thanks for putting the video out.
I did this last year for the first time with a Gen 4 (4640), and 20/20. I am pretty sure I was able to set it up to record with the SCV (in the video you state that you can’t)
If I want to forego the planting setup in the Gen 4 and just use a tillage pass as suggested, bring in the planting data from my 20/20, will I be able to create a Variety Locator setup file when I harvest the crop?
Also, what data layers from the 20/20 come
into Op Center? Variety I assume, but does population, downforce, singulation, skips, etc. (like in FieldView)?

I have successfully pulled variety locator files for a combine using data from a Gen 2 20/20 monitor last year. Data layers that I have seen show up in Ops Center direct from a Gen 2 20/20 monitor are target rate, applied rate, variety locations, applied downforce, and gauge wheel margin. I would assume Gen 3 would have all of these maps available and then some but I have not had a chance to prove this yet.

I always thought u had to have a rate controller for auto path. For us were making strips right ahead of planter. Kinda hard to get the auto path lines to the planter as its pulling in the field as ur finishing

Shouldn't need a rate controller to create autopath lines. All that is required is an impliment reciever with good dimensions. I would agree that getting the lines from the strip tillage rig to the planter in a timely manner might be a challenge if it is right behind you.
