I think it's amazing how they turned a masterpiece into another masterpiece. Who else can do that????
“I’ve never had an experience with music like listening to TOOL.”
A toxic relationship never sounded more beautiful.
But why toxic ? For me is the most beautiful 😊
@@goral222 It's about a toxic relationship.
@@javalily Oh ok I misunderstood 😉
But "who" is the toxic relationship with? :)
His ex wife.@@Mocking_Bird_85
That end section where Maynard is in a place he doesn’t want to be...the call and response with Adams guitar is a conversation, I imagine Maynard telling the toxic person his fears and Adams response is the sweet gaslighting until it explodes in rage, then it calms and he finds the gap. In my opinion, this song saved me
Tool has been a major part of my life for almost 30 years. This song evokes deep connection with yourself. I listen to this as a tool to ground myself, get reconnected with myself. There are other ways in which I achieve these, push it is one. You are top 1 or 2 on the list of reactors I watch. Keep up the amazing job.
Time for No Quarter. Can do a Led Zeppelin version first followed by Tool's cover which is *chef's kiss*
It just clicked in my head why they pull so much from led zep. The occult stuff is the common link I'm thinking, Danny and Jimmy Page both heavily into crowley/golden dawn. 😮
I got to hear it live a couple years ago. Definitely a great cover
The best live performance I have ever heard. They killed this LIVE!
Just saw them last Friday. This song kicked ass. 2 hour kick ass set at aftershock.
Took my son, it was awesome as always!
One of their best songs! I also reccomend checking out the salival version of third eye and their cover of No Qaurter
Beautiful! Loved it! Now you might want to look into "You Lied". Written and performed by Justin's old band, Peach, then covered by Tool after Justin joined Tool.
Oh...and also...there's a live Third Eye that you need to see.
The way you stop & go back, again & again, I am HERE FOR IT! 😍
That sense of, holy shit, man, I gatta hear that part again! Absorb each and every nuance to your soul, man.
And the moment of silence after, ahhhh yes.
i have to say, you have the absolute BEST responses to tool & what they offer...your reactions are what i think a band truly wants from the listener.
"This is the science of music".
I absolutely love and adore this as a scientist and a musician.
Nothing beats Tool live, fight me about it! NIN is a close second.
Can agree from personal experience. Both are amazing
I ❤’ed hearing this live. Felt like the chords reverberated through the ground, to my feet and up my spine. But, as I always say, you have to experience Tool…
Tool is an experience.
"I've never had an experience with music, as I've had listening to Tool" (15:55) Every Tool fan knows what you mean ^_^ Nothing compares :) HAve you done Reflection yet? Personal favorite . . . 🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Can we say LIVE !!!! FK me im going to see them live November 3rd in Knoxville TN !!!!!!!
Me too! Can’t believe they are coming here! Cannot wait!!!!
Tool played this version back on Friday in Sacramento.
My jaw dropped.
Edit: You know how to listen to Tool, and it's amazing to see.
I got to see The Hu back on Friday as well!
Unmanipulated, Raw, Pure fuckin` Masterpiece!!!
This is the only band that I listen 2 these types of reveiws on
Check out maynards isolated vocals on this song. He actually has alot of isolated vocals on his songs really shows his talent and that his voice is most Def a instrument
Been lucky enough to see Tool more than a handful of times. I love hearing the live stuff bc it always brings ya back to the shows youve been to. Still have an old cd with this and other pieces, blanking on its name, dont wanna look hah😂 Peace love and be good to each other
PLEASE check out their live performance of third eye from the same album!!! it's better than the original
Beat me to it!
And such a great visual performance from Maynard.
Definition of interpretive dance....
@@crystalscolza1663 plus Adams first solo is so much cooler in the live version
Imo Intro is better with the joke from Bill about here's Tom with the weather, perhaps doesn't have the same weight 2 Manny as Timothy talking with no printer but the overall third eye track from salival is superb live👌
I know other commenters have mentioned Tool being a part of their last 30 years, and I am one of those. This song, from the moment I first heard it, had such a profound effect on me. I didn't even realize how to avoid/recognize a caustic relationship in my 30"s without Maynard spelling it out like this.
Thanks! Comments left on each one of the tool reactions for you. Great job they are the most deeply complicated group of artist ever assembled❤❤
what a powerful and emotional song
You need to watch him! It pulls it all together!!!
One of their best…
I 100% agree with you when you say the music is sending you a message. You don’t just hear Tool, you experience Tool.
Regardless of what that song means to you you will always have an emotional response. My personal favorite Tool song
Now you need to do Third Eye live off the same album
I love their intricacies, do yourself a favor, react to everything he touches lol
The 'talking drum' you hear is an Indian tabla. Very cool sounding instrument, hard to play and counting in Indian music is kind of insane if you're not used to it.... haha. This is a guest appearance by Danny's former tabla teacher Aloke Dutta on this recording. You can also find some of his stuff on YT, just stunning what sounds come out of a tabla!
Yeah dude. Glad you finally did the live version. It’ll always be there for you.
I love the feedback you give, especially on the Tool reactions.
It shows that you’re truly taking in the music, that you genuinely enjoy and appreciate experiencing the songs. You’re not just doing it because it will generate views so you’re pretending to like it. I hate that. If you don’t like it, no need to fake it. I feel like too many other CZcamsrs that do reactions are too scared to speak their minds if they don’t like something rather than upset the viewers. But I don’t see that at all with you, so I appreciate your content. Thanks for continuing to share it with us!
Love it.
I'm so glad for my friend. He show me Tool about year 2000 and i'm in army in 100% 😮
If you watch a live reaction to this song, live... you have to look for what's called the fan incident. The audio is pretty solid plus you have ...well the famous event...lol
Picture Maynard singing that moment you thought he couldn't do live.... while sitting on top of somebody that he just suplexed... And rear naked choked.... lmfao
Let's not forget the guy being rear naked choked (gently) having the time of his life.
Yes Get It🎉
Songs are messages to be sure the language before words and after the first sounds depicting fear pain joy and sorrow came the beat!
Awesome way to start the day.
TOOL is Pink Floyd for the new millennium.
We'll meet you on the other side.
🤘🧙♂️🤘
Rich the Ancient Metal Beast
I witnessed this version live in 2001. Life changing.
Love ur Channel❤
I pray to god that you get an opportunity to see them live if they’re still touring. It’s a “come to Jesus” experience
They put sooooooo much emphasis on sounding exactly perfect live- until you see it first hand you’ll not understand where I’m going here. It’s just a very unique and special moment that will leave its thumbprint on your brain forever
It’s like “did I really just see that? Did that actually happen?”
Honestly, I don’t even consider it music anymore. It’s more of a tutorial on life and lessons you can take away from it. But it is genuinely refreshing to see you get animated when hearing it for the first listen because I remember how I was 30 years ago. It’s no different.
Thank you for covering this one.

“Spiral Out Keep Going”

How about those Tabla Drums?! If I’m not mistaken that was Aloke Dutta performing with Tool during this recording. You should check out Aloke’s Music!!!
I have one of the original signed Salival digipacks. Would have to find it.
I’ve never loved anything like I have loved this band… it ruined a lot of other music for me because they are just so unique
definitely in the tool army bro...
In my opinion maynard is the best vocalist in rock!!! Some people like Chris Cornell but for me it’s maynard.
Maynard is probably the most diverse, but Chris Cornell will always be the most powerful 😊
OMFG!!! i JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL AND COMMENTED (AND SUBBED!) Sry I'll stop yelling now, just soooo jacked you are reacting to my absolute favourite song by them! Ok gonna watch now, so excited and ty! EDIT; In future I would love to see your react to the not Salival version of Pushit! I love both, heard S version first but loves me the other version.
Danny's playing the tabla with sticks.
Live Musical Fatality! We're all dead now ;o)
Wow this was an extended version wow. This was right after Aenima came out. This whole Album Salival is the bomb. They were pretty much in their prime like Metallica late 90's.
Have you reacted to the original song Pushit?? Wolf Totem from HU is awesome, can tou tell me who is in the black hoodie playing guitar in the original non- english video???? There is an english version of the song to. But again TOOL came first my friend, i love you reactions so muxh❤❤
Tribal aliens, dude.
I know you've been going through the tool void of a rabbit hole. Done bet me wrong because I to am a tool-age fan. There are also other factions towards the likeness of what your listening to. Incubus. Queens of the Stone Age. The Great Stevie Ray Vhaugn. Stone garden Chris Cornell. Etc. I've got more suggestions
imo the live solo by adam is even better than the studio one.
Maynard, can count to ten and make it sound interesting...
Check out Cassandra Gemini by The Mars Volta thank me later!!!
Yes!
The original is also amazing!
ok missed you did a reaction already. 🙌
Why the re-release Mugs?
Because CZcams doesn't promote my lives
The Hu? You mean “Right in Two”
Laterilus was great but Aenima still tops it with 3 or 4 songs. I mean average tool song is like 9 minutes lol.
Pretty sure he's singing about Jui Jitsu training. Jim Keenan has been into BJJ for a long time. Just my opinion, can be interpreted as something totally different.
They always pause in the worst time
