  • This channel is a video that discusses the fascination of great apes (#gorilla、#chimpanzee、#orangutan) and enrichment.
Apes are the most intelligent animals and are therefore susceptible to mental illness.
Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce mental and physical stress and lead a happy life from the standpoint of apes, not from the convenience and emotions of human beings.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw his back. These chimps are stressed out.

All chimps bare scars from previous bites to their backs. Most chimps coats hide these scars but these poor guys Coats are in such terrible condition that every lil mark shows up drastically!

    They all look malnourished. 😢

These chimps are definitely healthy just a lot of over grooming going on. No signs of rib cage showing.

They just have a lot of missing hair and lots of bite marks. In the wild, they would have more hair and maybe less bite marks.

It amazes me how much a chimp can fit in their mouth and keep trying to pack in more! Sometimes I see them with their mouths packed full and several objects in each hand and foot and they still can climb and maneuver!

Is that a gibbon in the background? Can you provide more videos please.

Pisuke has the fewest scars. It turns out that he is less likely than others to participate in fights. I doubt that Pisuke is aggressive, most likely it is a very cunning alpha male.

Are you out of your ever-loving mind!!? Phieski is the biggest bully in probably the most dangerous chimp in Japan apparently you haven't watched too many of his videos because first of all this zoo is an absolute disgrace all the chimpanzees are mentally screwed up pulled all their hair out and most of them just look sickly. But he is a bully he is rarely calm only when he's eating and even then I've seen him go off. He and his brother both I can't stand either one of them and I love chimpanzees I have all my life but I can't stand a bully and in humans and I can't stand one in chimpanzees because they have a choice. You can't be an alpha off being a bully and just using your strength alone the whole troop has to put their trust in you and choose you and when you're beating on them all day mostly the females then you're going to be alone all the time just like he is you see he's got no friends because everybody's terrified of him

Why do they look so bruised and scratched up ? Over grooming

    • @theodoredsmithjr.871

Its STRESS is why they have such hair loss and patchy baldness. Their indoor enclosures are the cleanest and are always damp and wet. Combine that germ filled environment with Boredom and Stress and you end up with Nasty Looking Chimps! The ONLY TIME these chimps ever look even remotely happy and act like chimps is when they're outside! Indoors they just pace and follow each other in circles. So Sad!
