  • Ls Droid has been in development for several years now and has had over 20K downloaded since ls-droid.com was created and the app could be downloaded by anyone. The time has come to tip my hand and give everyone a sneak peak at something that's been in development for quite some time now. Yes, you read the title correctly. Ls Droid is moving on up and the 4th Gen E series pcm's are now on the horizon.
There is still a ton of work to do before this is even close to being ready for any kind of alpha testing......and the hardware that this is being done with is also still being developed so don't get to excited....just yet.
I have made a number of casual comments over the last 3-6 months that; at some point in the future Ls Droid would be split and the current version at the time would become a Legacy version to maintain compatibility with older Android devices while "current" development would start to focus on the current version of Android and would be able to make sure of the faster processors and better hardware on newer devices. I have also spent an enormous amount of time reworking the Ls Droid database the app uses so that it would be able to accommodate multiple versions of the app with out requiring a new database for each version as the app has for the last 1-2 years.
So when this is nearly release that is where Ls Droid will split into a current version and a legacy version that will no longer be updated but will remain usable for older hardware. I've run the E38 program on a 2-3 year old "flagship" phone that's running Android 9 and it really struggles to keep up with the speed the PCM is capable of. Of course it can be slowed down to a certain point but older devices just won't be able to keep up with this. As you'll notice in the video there is a great deal of screen tearing in the text and this is due to the amount of data the E38 is sending back to my phone.
I'd like to mention that with out Envyous Customs this wouldn't be possible, they have put in a tremendous amount of work into the flash kernels that Ls Droid is using for this and they deserve every bit as much credit for this as I do.

    Hi Pete!
Same question as @sethhamre1120….wondering what SW or program was used to clone E38 as it doesn’t appear LS Droid supports pat 2007 per your download site
