So glad you are bringing in products like this that is not in the mainstream....
I got into your dance jam last week..
You have an expansive interest that is surprising , pleasantly so..
Keep it going!
Be safe
Thank you Jay!
Can't wait to hear these, or maybe even own a pair. These are legendary for me. My buddy back in the late 80's went all out on a home stereo system including a full yamaha rack and a pair of Cornwall II's. Didn't take long and things were flying off the wall and the shelves in the house were rattling. This system was so much better than anything that any of us had ever heard and I'm looking forward to getting near some III's and possibly IV's.
Ha! I just bought these from Cory - quite literally, the pair of speakers in your video!! Cory is a good dude and has great prices. Thank you for the recommendation.
Nice! Enjoy them!
I just bought a pair of these from Cory last week. I'm loving them so far! Great midrange for vocals, guitars and snare drums. They give a nice sense of space and air with a rich tonality. Great with all genres of music. I also found a mild bump in bass eq to round them out nicely.
Nice! Glad you like them!
Channa D that is one gorgeous speaker. I really love the Klipsch Heritage line. Love that speaker driver array, and for me the dual binding posts rock. Awesome cabinet finish, I really like the grill material they went with. Gives it a cool retro look.
I'm just happy you covered home theater with these too. It seems like most people seems to forget that part of audio now. Sounds like the Cornwalls are no slouch man. Thanks for the review man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
They should be good because you have to sell your kids in to slavery to afford them.
@@sleazypig funny thing is is these are relatively cheap compared to the highest end audiophile equipment
@@SpencersStuffTV
Agreed, I watch movies which of course have music soundtracks which I enjoy a hell of a lot more than I just listening to 2 Channel audio streaming. I even enjoy watching music videos a hell of a lot more than just sitting there without the TV on ! No one really talks home theater for the most part which is just so surprising to me. What I do want to try is integrated amp versus my AVR receiver but from what I can gather here on CZcams I'm not going to really hear that much of a difference because I do have a good AVR? I also have high or should I say semi High sensitivity speakers JBL and it seems like these ultra-expensive amps aren't really necessary for these type of speakers!
sleazypig If they are going to be that good, buy them with a credit card or take out a long term loan. Sort of pay as you go.
Great looking speakers! Of course the sound is great as well!
Glad you're grooving the Klipsch's. I've been a lifelong listener, Klipschorns.... 44 years. To me, the Cornwalls are like listening to a bratty lil brother, but proudly so, as they perform so beautifully.
Rock on!
You went all in on this review. Detailed and awesome!
Thank you very much!
This is the greatest review of klipsch speakers there is. Youthman has several of those, but he has not been able to express his love the way you did!
Right @Youthman :-) ?
Just bought a pair of the Cornwall IV's in Cherry from Cory, should get them early next week. Been getting price quotes for the last few months and Cory beat them all, along with free shipping and NO sales tax. Glad I watched this video or would have never heard of them and cost me a lot more money.
Nice work, this is the way to do it. Thanks man!
You bet!
Nice shout outs for A Quiet Place and X-men Apocalypse. Two of my favorite sound demos.
The best!
Great review!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
great review man! loved it. Now, I'm also a music producer and I've noticed those KRK vxt 6[right?] in the back...I've auditioned them Over the last few days and found them inferior to other offers by JBL, Yamaha and others, mainly due to the somewhat 'dirty' mid and high mid range and also lack of low end punch...what's your take on them?
Man, I'd love a pair! Then again, I'd also love the RF7III. Goals 💪
Good choice! I might be selling my RF7IIIs and RC64III...
@@TechnoDad for what ? these CW4?
I am big on Klipsch gear, these are awesome!
Yes they are!
Techno, i have a question about AURO 3D VOG that is if work when only playing games or CZcams videos? and have you connected via the back surround speaker ?
Thank you.
Youthman is so jealous of these speakers!!! Thanks for sharing with us. They are sweet looking.
Tristan Jones not at all. Cornwalls are fantastic speakers and have better bass but the LaScalas utilize the same tweeter and midrange horn as the Khorns. I have the bottom end covered with the JTR Captivator RS2’s.
Some guys have built a CornScala to get the best mids and highs from the LaScalas and pair it with the better bottom end from the Cornalls.
@@Youthman a CornScalla sounds like a true hybrid beast. I was just joking. I know you have an awesome setup. Just waiting on the Noesis 212 review from you. LOL. Thanks for sharing the info about the hybrid beast.
LOL! A CornScala!
@@Youthman
I know just from watching your tour of JTR that their compression drivers on their tower speaker make the Klipsch horn driver literally look like pieces if JUNK! 🤪🤪🤯🤯🤔🤔You being who you are have to admit that Klpisch should be famous for yes, sounding good , with mediocre quality internals! And that's being nice!😉😇🤗 You like your La'scala's and I know from watching your channel you got those things Dirt Cheap used! If you paid 16 grand for the klipschorns you'd be pissed off seeing what you can get from JTR that is!🤪🤪🤯🤯🤓🤗😇 and again, I only know this because of your CZcams channel! But I've learned about the Klipsch speaker internals from watching other channels and they're pretty poorly made inside for the money one is paying! All you ever hear is they're made in America I mean that only get you so far? Aren't JTR speakers made in America? Just wanted your input on this Youth Man considering I saw your comment here!🤔🤔🤫🤗😇
I have liked this model the most over all other Heritage systems.. The smoothest across the spectrum, with no holes . One of the best reproducers of the Concert Grand Piano i have found to date. i bought my first pair new in 1981 . Perhaps i own a pair again when its the right time. .
Nice! Thank you for sharing.
Good review!
Thanks!
Curious of your opinion using 3 of these in HT setup (L, C, R) behind an acoustically transparent screen.
That could definitely work if you had the space! Contact Cory about details - bit.ly/TDPDHT
Just setup the Klipsch Cornwall IIIs that I recently bought at a good discount with a 6 wpc SET amp. Sounds very good. What you put in, you get out. The good recordings sound very good. e.g. listening now to Pat Metheney's Secret Story, Brian Eno Ambient Series. No harshness at all. Playing both CDs and streaming Tidal via Audirvana using an MHDT DAC. You really need a big room to use these speakers properly. I got them off the floor and onto dollies making it very easy to make fine adjustments. Put them 3" from the corner walls with a slight toe-in and the bass tightened up and became really big.
That’s awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience.
Great review as always Techno Dad!!!
Hello, when you play music with tight bass, do you have tight, relaxed or boomy bass with the Cornwall IV? Thank you
Hi ! I need your opinion in something, I currently own 2 SVS PB-2000 & Klipsch 504 Center... and very crappy L-R as well as surrounds... Should I get a Pair RP-600M Bookshelf with a pair of RP500SA for atmos on top of the bookshelf (and potentially send those to surround back in the future ) OR get a Pair of towers now like the RP-280FA with atmos enable ? (and then worry about the surround in the future ) The price is almost the same, but the bookshelf are like 3 years newer and better horn... but in the other hand the towers are two 8 inches with a 6.5 inches atmos enable I believe- will those towers will be good for a few years or always better buy as new as possible if that means getting small woofers... Thank you all ! 🙂
Hello, my room is 4 meters wide by 7 meters long. If I put the speakers in the part that I have 4 meters and they are very close to the corners, it would open a problem. they?
Techno Dad My subject is a little off topic can you do a review on the OSD black X-11 Amplifier or comment about it thanks
wish you intergrated the sub woofers about 40hz. how much break in did they have the 15 inch driver with accordion surround need some break in time. glad you covered home theater with these most people stick to just 2 channel,
Hi Gene. They had a few weeks to break in. I did have the RELs on at the beginning and what I heard, they did blend well together.
Hi!!! I have cuestión?i have klipsch Dolby atmos speakers RP41sa and receiver Sony 1080 my cuestión is my Dolby atmos speakers has very low volume so I check the frecuencia and tone level and I don’t know if I do something wrong? Can you helpme pls thank you and stay safe 🙏
Techno Dad I salute you and I really appreciate your opinion that you transmit on your channel, I have seen the video of these new Klipsch Cornwall IV, and I have decided to buy them on my next birthday, but I have a question about the amplifier that will be used for these speakers, currently I have an Onkyo M-5000R amplifier (80 watts per channel) and an Onkyo P-3000R preamplifier. Are these kits ideal for my new Cornwall IV? I appreciate you can help me know if it's the right thing, thanks..
Hello Gonz! Thank you for your kind words and also for watching. Looking at that amplifier, I would say you'll be just fine. These speakers won't need more than 20 - 25 watts to make your ears bleed. Sure, If you are sitting 20 feet back, maybe. But I think you'll be solid with the Cornwalls and your current Onkyo setup. Make sure to contact my man Cory as I think he has quite a few in stock - bit.ly/TDPHTFB - Also, when is your birthday?
Techno Dad,Thank you a thousand for answering my question, by the way my birthday will be at the beginning of June and I ordered my Cornwall IV are on their way, thanks you.
Hi there ,
by using proper orientation , can surplus or old bookself speakers be used as Atmos speakers or should one must buy Atmos labelled speakers ???
Hello! Yes, you can use any speaker for Atmos. Bookshelf would be the best option.
@@TechnoDad good
What amp and surrounds are you using for daily drivers now ? I just bought the Marantz 7705 and looking at the Monoprice 11 channel amp to go with it . My local stereo dealer is pushing in wall speakers that cost $500 a peace. Seams to me that a person could find a better price and still get a decent speaker . What are your thoughts on this ? About the surrounds and amp choices . Thanks in advance . Stay safe we need you for our sanity . Peace .
What's up Rodney?! I am running two Parasound amplifiers (A51 & A52+). Surround speakers are Martin Logan FX2s. So you have a 5 channel amp and you are looking at an 11 channel amp? I would not go with in wall unless you are really needing to do so.
Please, get an SPL meter or app to use for reporting sound level or volume.
Not sure if you still read these, but I just bought three Cornwalls for LCR. I have two subs as well. What would you suggest I set the crossovers at for the Cornwalls?
Full range and subwoofers for 120
What you think about the do LCR with these? I only don't understand why didn't use cerametallic color, They say anything about the old school?
I think the cerametallic is for their more modern lines. These are from the Heritage line, so I think they are trying to stay true to their roots.
Cornwalls vs rf-7 iii what speaker would you say hits harder or plays louder? I guess the real question is which one would be good for a party? Lol
As with all Heritage, they continue to improve with every revision. Great review bro
Thanks man!
@@TechnoDad do they have these in black
Great review. However, the midrange compression driver measures 1.75 inches not 1.7.
7
Waymon French, try the internet.
@youthman Does cornwalls good as LCR's in Dedicated HT?
Could you buy them in singles or do you have to buy them in pairs? Because if I went that route in the heritage series I would like all three to be the same for my front stage. Like you know who ( Youthman )😀
You can get them as a single speaker.
What color is this finish brother great video !!! Love the Channel
Hi! American Walnut is the finish.
@@TechnoDad had a feeling it's nice! It's too bad I just ordered myself a cherry pair :( do you think those are a bad choice maybe ugly lol
¿cuanto se aconseja separar entre ellos, paredes laterales y puesto de escucha que seria yo.minimo aconsejado ?
See the only problem I would have with the walnut finish is if it happens to get a scratch for my cat or something it’s gonna be quite difficult to patch that up to blend in even with touchup marker that’s what I think I have the same speakers but I bought them in black and it’s a lot easier to touch up and they won’t show so much scratches but I will say the walnut does look better and I wish I would’ve went with it but I don’t think I’ll be able to patch it up if there becomes some surface scratches
People say they need a big room. What I like is they sound amazing at low volumes. They work great in my tiny apartment without pissing off the neighbors.
Hi technodad. I have a klipsch r-41pm paired with r-100sw sub. Am I only limited to this set up? I cannot add any other klipsch powered speaker like front speaker? Thoughts? Thanks!
Hi Bubs! Yes, you are limited with that setup as they are powered speakers. You would have to go with an AVR setup. You could ostensibly still use the 41 PMs if your AVR has pre outs, but you will be able to add a center channel and other speakers depending on which AVR you get.
@@TechnoDad Got it. Any good AVR you can recommend? Also would you suggest the Klipsch Wireless system or the wired for a 5.1 theatre system? Thanks again!
Channa, Hope all is well on your end? Please advise if I could pair these Cornwall IV with either PrimaLuna Evo 400 Tube Integrated amplifier with Evo 100 DAC and or Cary SLI-80 HS Tube Integrated Amplifier? Thanks.
Hi! I just replied to your email.
Tube amps are a better choice for Klipsch Heritage speakers. You don't need much power though. I'm using a six watt SET amp with my Cornwall IIIs.
So did you sold your klipsch for the Martin logans
Hi James! I haven't sold them yet, but I would imagine now is not a good time to sell anything or to have people come over.
Are you gonna do the heresy 4 as well?
Probably not.
@@TechnoDad ok understood. Thanks for the reply
So, what about that center channel? Wouldn't an ideal set up include identical left-center-right speakers? Maybe a center channel deep dive could be a good video topic?
Great job on the review. I love Klipsch speakers.
Yes, that would be good behind a screen or something. But that room would have to be pretty big!
The really designed for 2 channel listening! Their reference series is more geared towards home theater but course you can throw in a heresy like some people do😬
Will you record a demo?
Unfortunately, these are all packed up and ready to leave...
Would you put these over the RF 7 iii? Strictly 2.0 or 2.1 music only. Not home theater.
In a sheer space saving situation, I would go with the RF7IIIs
@@TechnoDad and if space was no issue?
I would definitely just use these for music only, reminds me of my dads simple 2 ch setup to play music during parties growing up. But still good to know these can be useful for home theater video as well.
Which speakers do you own and listen to most for your system?
Martin Logan ESL-X
@@TechnoDad glad to hear it! I’ve been through a huge amount of speakers but have settled on the same as you.
I can buy a pair of klipsch cornwall 3 se for 1.3k less than the newer 4. Is the differnce that big to spend the exyra money?
I haven’t heard the 3, so I can’t really say.
@@TechnoDad thanks. If it is a 90 match i'm ok with it. If the differences are bigger i would not mind spending the extra. Problemm is, i can audition them side by side. I can listen to the four but not the 3.
How about with Emotiva XPA-200 power Amp?
That would work!
Seeing your dog stroll around your speakers my heart skipped a beat. 8 years ago, my dog pissed on my speaker veneer. The wood got all warped and malformed. Still hurts to this day with only solace being I got them for $80 on the flea market. Not sure my heart could handle someone or something pissing on my Cornwall IVs though.
Well, that would have sucked for sure, but he's well trained and old. Not sure if a puppy would have the same self-restraint.
Other than the natural ability of musicians, its the sound engineer that make the band sound great. Yep, you got an ear for detail!
Running speakers without a center channel will really let you know if they are good at imaging. If you get a good stereo image (phantom center channel) and they sound good, you got a keeper. Thanks for letting us know about the Klipsch in this regard.
Once upon a time Klipsch made speakers with silk dome tweeters. I had a pair of Klipsch KG3 which cost me a bloody fortune as a college student, but dang were those speakers enjoyable.
Enjoyed the review. Good job.
Thank you for watching Mike. I would love to hear Klipsch with silk dome tweeters. That has to be rare!
Love Klipsch. Have them in every room.
I can get the version 3 for 1,2k cheapercthan the newer 4. Is in worth it?
Probably! But make sure you contact my Klipsch dealer first - bit.ly/TDPHTFB
@@TechnoDad
Thanks for your reply.
You mean i beter buy the 3 for lesser money?
@@brunobracke4612 Cory might get you closer to the price of version 3 and if so, then it's up to you. I would imagine the 4 will have more tech in them.
@@TechnoDad i'm from Belgium! 😁 Money is not the problem. But i was thinking if the differences are that big.
The lockdown is causing a new symptom..
Upgraditis....bad stuff
Begins looking at new TV, then receiver, then pre/pro amp combo, then litterly buying a complete new system..
Wonder if hydroxychloroquine will relieve?
Can my onkyo m504 drive these?
I'm not sure what the stats are on that particular amplifier, but these Cornwalls are super efficient, so I think they would be fine with almost everything.
Cornwalls last 20+ years??? Nah, Klipsch Heritage line are speakers you pass down through the generations.
One thing to remember is that klipsch budget their sensitivity numbers. I always knock about 4db off their ratings. They are still extremely efficient though but way overpriced
Way, Way overpriced for the components used, that's for sure!🤫🤫🤫🤔😬
Damn 6k. I wonder what you could get from svs for the price.
For that price I probably just get some harbeth or some goldenear speakers
You could probably get a full system
As said a whole system a Home Theater system! That sounds even better!🤣🤣😅😂😉😇😳
@@bigjay1970 A "whole" theater system... What are you on about? It wouldn't sound 1/2 as good as any of the Heritage series in 2 channel mode. And most people who invest in Heritage keep them a lifetime while your SVS Ultra tower is in the dustbin, made in China
Every electro-mechanical device needs a break in for the suspensions o stretch some
Hey channa in my humble opinion someone needs to do a full review on the Yamaha rx-a3080. I think it's an unrated reciever. I think Yamaha got it right with this receiver.
What’s up Mean Green? I reviewed the A2080 which should be the same except for XLR inputs on the A3080.
Actually I seen your review on the 2080 and that's how I found out that my 2070 couldn't support 11.2 speakers with an external amp.because you mentioned that your 2080 couldn't do that.but I already had 11.2 speakers. So I upgraded to the 3080 and it's an awesome receiver.
Your right though my 2070 was a good reciever but I wanted 11.2 and also I got the outlaw 5000 because of your review on that amplifier. Believe me your a big reason I have an awesome home theater. I have all reference premiere klipsch speakers including 2 klipsch spl 150 subwoofers.
So thanks alot chana.i love the way my home theater sounds. Its really clear.i love the sound. But when I'm able to afford it I'm going to get a 3 or 5×200 watts emotiva or monolith amplifier.
I want more power. But I cant do anything until I go back whenever this social distancing is over.
Klipschorn AK6 review next? 😅
I doubt it!
@@TechnoDad
Think about what $16,000 retail can buy? Smart answer!😇 they may sound decent or even good but if you've seen any CZcams videos that take these things apart they're built with very cheap components all said considering what you're paying for!🤪🤪🤯🤯😳 They must charge consumers $5,000 just for shipping which is built into the price of the speaker!🤣😅🤣😂
I like the retro look but at 6K a pair, not a chance. I am not paying 3 grand a speaker for anything from Klipsch. Not that I think Klipsch sucks or anything, nor would I hate on anyone that wanted them. Just not something I would personally do. At that price point there are so many other speakers I would look at first.
Yeah, that is pretty pricey. To each their own!
$6k a pair?! I'm all into Klipsch, but I know my limits and my wife makes sure that I do. Haha! Any-who, I can always live through this vlog.
Yeah, these are super pricey!
Why doesn't anyone use the Butthole surfers as reference music? The Eagles common put on the surfers.
LOL!
Legacy signatures versus Cornwall 60% movie, 25 % games, 15% music?
These are high volume party room speakers. In your face - loud - powerful. I wouldn't even remotely pretend they are for accurate reproduction.. I'd love to jam these in a basement rec room for parties .. not something I'd want for Hi-Fi critical listening.. or for home theater. (imo) ... I would be pletty happy with these as a party speaker .. Let the good time roll! =)
They do look like vintage PAs. The question now is...how do I get them on a PA stand??
@@TechnoDad - I dare you to use them for your DJ live sessions =) (even as a background decore) .. lol
If you use a SET tube amp, they are very different sounding. Revealing every detail of instruments like guitar, saxophone, and human voice but never harsh.
They have far less distortion than most: +-3 db at 100 db SPL@ 1 meter. FM and IM distortion less than 1% across spectrum at any sound pressure level you can stand.
I too wanted to like the Witcher, but.....lol
Lol!
There's no reason for Klipsch heritage speakers to not stay in your family for as long as a piano, say. Every 30 years, renew the crossovers, oil the fine hardwood at 5-year intervals and enjoy!
They do last forever!!
Cornwalls BEG for tubes in front of them.
nice, but cost $8400 pair CDN :(
Yeah, they are definitely expensive!
I found them online for $5,500 CAD a pair. Almost pulled the trigger but found some used original cornwalls for far less so I'm happy.
@@elnericoo Where did you find those? I looked around and just went with the IIIs with a minor blemish since they were a lot cheaper.
I'm reasonably certain Cornwalls were NEVER a PA speaker. As far as I can tell they originated as a center channel. And I know they'll last more than 20 plus years, as you say.
Since Audiovox purchased Klipsch the evolution of the company has been to De-Horn the sound of the horn speakers that Paul Klipsch made famous and people loved for the distinct "horn sound". "Mumps" is yet another incarnation brought into the post Paul Klipsch company to De-Horn the sound of a horn speaker to make it sound more like a conventional speaker. Not good at all but Klipsch marketing uses videos like this to make the case that the present company is evolving instead of devolving the classic Klipsch sound. "It sounds better-trust what we're telling you!" Nope! Side by side the Klipsch Forte II sounds much better than the "wave guide horn" sound of the Forte III. Current Klipsch marketing would tell you this is not so but your ears tell you a different story. Also after Audiovox purchased Klipsch they have hyper-inflated Heritage model speaker pricing to recoup the money they spent acquiring the company. Forte II's msrp in the mid 1990's of a $1000 per pair are now priced at $4000 a pair for the Forte III - far inflating the price of the speakers of what normal inflation pricing would require in today's dollars.
1
The compound surfaces of the waveguide/horn midrange in Cornwall IV and late model JBL top-of-the-line speakers are to improve dispersion, not to leave the high-efficiency of horns.
@@roberte.andrews4621 Yes exactly and by "improving dispersion" the resulting sound from the speaker is more like a conventional non-horn speaker. Paul Klipsch would be horrified to see what products his "Klipsch" name is now emblazoned on in the post-KLIPSCH and now Audiovox-klipsch era.
their price in Russia is $ 10,000 $.
Wives alwasy be giving us shit. Too loud this, too much that..blah, lol, you feel me Dad?
LOL! Yeah, all the time! Especially when it's the subwoofers being too loud, shaking the house.

I’m sorry, but in NO WAY these are worth 6 K USD a pair. Look up on YT the guy who took ‘em apart they’re pretty cheaply built, MDF and all. They basically sell on brand/model reputation and agressive/specialized/online marketing, but they are mostly glorified party speakers. 😏
