This is my segment paying homage to Joey Jordison’s Legacy in the Metal drumming community.

Is 2024, yes I use triggers (so did Joey around 2012 and on) also o a lot modern drummers do. Cheers 🤙🏽
Triggers do not make you play better. It makes those extremely fast, double stroke, kicks, audible, and powerful. If not, you have to play like Eloy Casa grande and be built like a beast.

@@nickpruett8022 it’s obvious that you’ve never been on tour with the bigs leagues. This guy is the drummer from devil Driver man. I’m pretty sure that you just don’t have enough experience to understand this stuff. Not the same playing in the room and aspiring to be on this spot than been on the real touring work. Also what do you know about Eloy? Go practice because talking doesn’t make you a powerful drummer either.

May I know what you did in your doubles? Is it, heel-toe/heel-toe or heel-heel/toe-toe, if you get what I mean. I'm currently starting to learn this.

Greaaat cover! If I could say something, it would be about the snare sound. A bit muffled. It would be way better with a more "shiny" sound imo. Nice playing tho ! :D

Ainda copiou o six six six no china, cara, sou batera, tu toca muito bem mesmo, mas vê as potências dos pedais e as levadas dele, ele é diferente, eu vim do punk, não tenho o que dizer, vc é muito bom, mas pro nível do Eloy, vc tem que pelo menos ter aulas com o Aquiles Priester... E treinar 10 horas por dia.... Mas fera, vc é bom
l can’t be like Eloy nether I’m trying to be, I’m a completely different drummer, with different style and different technique. Just cuz a drummer influences my playing, doesn’t mean I have to play exactly like them, I have my own voice,cheers 🤙🏽
l did not copy is a homage (Jay did a similar thing and also Joey later up on his career, so technically we all copying Joey lol) Also, my accents are different and spread out between different chinas and extremities( part of my style is to play with the stereo field of the drum kit.) Using doubles and triggers is a personal preference, if you look at my older videos I used to play single strokes. I’m glad Eloy’s foot technique works for him but at lot of drummers that embrace that technique end up with bad knees or knee surgery when they get older, look it up. I rather use a different technique and tools to play the same notes without compromising my bodies health, Cheers

The technique I’m using is called doubles (heel/ toe) a lot of up and comings drummers use it, look it up. Cheers 🤙🏽

No front but every time I see anyone wearing Joe's Mask it feels wrong and disrespectful. Take the Mask and put it on your Kit or besides you but don't wear it please.

@@jordyncoetzee No problemo, I can't really explain it, it's what I'm feeling you know and it kind of hurts to see him knowing it's not him anymore. Maybe I'm just crazy but his Mask is like a Relic and I think we have to let it rest.
Ask me in 10 yrs again, then I am 46 and maybe I feel/ see things differently again. 😉

Thank you so much for those kind words. I haven’t done a tutorial yet because Is a new technique for me. You should go check out Austin Archey from Lorna Shore. He’s been the one teaching me and guiding me through the learning process, cheers

No copying, but paying homage, using triggers is pretty standard with professional touring acts (most professional musicians know this), cheers
how does using triggers make him not playing real double? haha he's playing REAL double strokes so i mean there is that.. i'm sure dude could have done straight singles in the fast parts if he wanted too HAHAHA
