Products consist of anything that provides value to consumers. Within the broad category of products,​ we place company offerings into two categories: goods and services. While goods present physical offerings, services share a different set of characteristics. In this video lecture, I discuss the difference between goods and services and also discuss the important characteristics of services.

Took my CLEP with no marketing knowledge and passed with only 4 days of cram study. These videos really helped explain things very well. I would suggest before each lesson you use the course listings for what the subject consist of, get a basic understanding and then watch the video because youre only gonna understand the concept and ignore the small but important details. Then look at that list and try to simply explain each topic and point. Take a bunch of free practice test online, they give you an idea of what to study and review, also you will see some on the test. I rewatched each video about 2-3 times with my list and checking off. Good luck.

This video focused on characteristics that separate goods from services, but both goods and services provide the consumer with some type of experience. Taking for example eating at a restaurant. You experience the food as well as the service provided by your server. Although businesses attempt to manufacture a certain experience with their products, they have a more difficult time with services since they're dependent on the person delivering them. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry, unfortunately I don't Pardeep. For information on the experience economy I recommend researching Pine and Gilmore, as I believe they were the originators of that concept in the late 1990s. I know that the basic idea is we're transitioning from a service economy to an economy that is driven by "experiences" (hence the term experience economy), but my knowledge doesn't go much further than that. Wish I could be more help there.
