Distribution is ultimately concerned with getting the right product, to the right person, at the right place, and at the right time. How businesses accomplish this is through both distribution channels as well as physical distribution. But how do distributors add value for businesses? In this video I'll explain how distributors add value and also explain the purpose of distribution.

Exactly, in fact, I've been trying to adjust with hotels, to shift their thinking from consumers to actual distributors; however, hotels look at amenities, linens, and gifts as expense, this makes it difficult to convince them otherwise. I guess I need to do more research.
    Thanks for you replying Matt.

    Thanks Matt.
I have a question, in a setup where you are selling consumable items to businesses (e.g. gift items that hotels give for free to their guests), who would be the enduser, the hotels or their guests?
    Thanks in advance.

Hi thanks a lot for the video. Would it be possible to explain what is meant by 3th party logistics.
    Thanks

You're very welcome. 3rd party logistics refers to when a company outsources certain services with another. These services can include packaging, shipping, tracking, and other distribution functions. Companies will outsource these functions because it is less expensive than attempting to perform the functions themselves.
      Hope this clarifies.
