Disussion of Flowering Plant Reproduction, with details on the parts of the flower, pollen development, egg development, pollination, double fertilization, seed development and fruit development
I don't think you're gonna read this, but I wanted to thank you with my heart because I have my Botanic exam in two days and couldn't understand properly this part of the reproduction. I was really going crazy, then I found this. THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping out a desperate student :)
I'm a biology major. These are great! I have a young son and was not able to study to my requirements gymnosperms and angisperms before my test at 9am! Thank you these are terrific, great refresher with detail, pictured processes and questions! Love it!
You have made a small error, the synergids you marked are supposed to be antipodal cells and the two closer to the egg cell are the synergids . Better check that
Best teaching ever, clear voice, calm presentation, and its so easy to understand from the pictures or images you made to make it understandable for people, you deserve a lot, I give you a like and a subscribe. THANKS!
In spite of the simplification you made by ommiting the three synergids and the antipodes, this was quite clear and understandable. Very useful and precise. Thank you!
Omg!!!! like it's almost 11 year, it's 2023 now . I m just thinking that those who saw this video back in 2012 they will be now like dr or engineers.. U created such a masterpiece , it literally cleared my all confusion ... Thank you 😊
I am now a junior and I havent gone by a single semester without using at least one of your videos. They have been extremely helpful throughout my undergrad.
This helped a lot. I am a visual learner and my class just throws a book at you and expects you to read and understand. I struggle learning that way. Your video was very detailed and helpful with all the illustrations. Thank you so much!
This was a super helpful video in helping us visualize the process and function of flowering plants in reproduction. My 5th graders found it very helpful in understanding the processes and how the different parts worked together. Your animations made that so much clearer for them than the drawings and diagrams they had thus far. Thanks!
Usually the 3 that you are calling "synergids" are called antipodals...the 2 next to the egg are the synergids! This is a very nice presentation that I use in my classes!
My professor is a nice guy, yet with all due respect to him, he cannot lecture. This video explains the 7x cytokinesis in a clear way that is understandable. Thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to create this video! It was incredibly helpful. I was not able to understand these processes before. It was simple, thorough, and easy to understand.
I'm actually not a botany major or anything like that... I'm creating a crazy sci-fi manga, where flowering plants evolve into horrifying predatory creatures that eat people lmao. This video was excellent in helping my research for future volumes of the story. Sincerely, thx 🙏🏼😊
Thank you. I once came here in 2014 when I was a student. I couldn't understand you. It's 2019 and I'm now a teacher. Now I understand. I think it's because I'm a slow learner.
I can't stop watching your videos since it has been helping me so much!!! You summed up my whole lecture in a fast and simple way. I'm glad l discovered your channel. Thank you for making your videos fun, clear and extremely informative!!! 😄
Reading a textbook power-points, and listening to my professor on this life cycle for two weeks did absolutely nothing for me. Cant believe i learned it in 13 minutes.
For my biology final my teacher is making us do many small projects on plants, or describing things about plants. One of the projects i'm doing is to "Use a flower as the setting and creatively describe the process of pollination and fertilization and all parts included in each process. Once fertilization occurs explain how the new seed will get to a spot where the embryonic plant will have a chance to survive." This is going to help so much! Thank you!
Generally, yes. Lilies are monocot angiosperms so they follow the basic reproductive cycle I've described. However, you can propagate lilies in various ways via the bulbs rather than from seeds. But if your task is to describe how the gametes of a lily reach one another then this should be adequate.
5:05 you have a fatal mistake because the three cells which are in the opposite of the egg called "Antipodal cells". please guys be CAREFUL. that's very important!
u are greatttttttttttt thanks so much lol exam tomorrow and this was a really good way to better understand seed dispersal and gamete synthesis :) thanks and keep doing what ur doing
i cant thank you enough ... i swear ive been trying to study since morning but this stuff was so confusing but these videos were so helpful... . Thank you so much :)
Thanks, I think I got all the anthers I needed from this.
+Nondescript Idk why this comment doesn't have any recognition.

Hi. I've got a test tomorrow and you were a real gem 9 years ago to post it online. Thank you!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to individually draw each picture. It really helps me understand the different developmental stages!

Love how you didn't preach facts but explained the purpose behind the mechanisms involved. Video helped me hugely.

Explained in an exceptional way!
Yes, all the sepals together are referred to as the calyx. In my experience sepals is a more commonly used term, but both are acceptable.
Finally a video that explains clearly, great explanation!
Thank you for such an informative video regarding the topic, I have an exam tomorrow at 8 am, so wish me luck guys !!!

Basically just summed up a quarter of my plant course in 13 minutes! And made a lot more sense!!!
You are such a good teacher!
You helped me so much! I have a test tomorrow and I understood the reproduction of angiosperms. Thank you!

EXcellent video! It summarizes chapter 38 of my biology textbook!

Excellent video, great aid for us teachers, thanks Craig. Awesome work!
Thank you so much. the video was so helpful for my study.
아메바 okay but be careful there are many scientific mistakes!
I know you do not need my appreciation but I want to thank you from the core of my heart thanks alot sir now I actually feel it...🙇
this guy is ten time better than my biology teacher thank you ;)
but those two cell beside the egg cells are synergids whereas those three cells are antipodal cell ^_^

Your teaching method is awesome 😎👍...well done .. keep it up ❤️
This is much better than the chart in my book. Thank you!
