Currently gold 5 with ryu and I’ve never really played ranked mode on any fighting game, your videos have helped me immensely. Shimmying and PCing into the DR combo you put out has won me many matches

I’ve understood the concept of shimmying since SFV but have never been able to execute it correctly as silly as it sounds. I’d usually get jabbed or not space myself correctly or mistime my button on the punish attempt. Appreciate you making a guide on this with Ryu. All these guides have helped my game tremendously.

Man! this tutorials you do with Ryu are excellent. I implemented a lot of things you've said in the previous tutorials and my gameplay improved drastically immediately. Suddenly Ryu's gameplan made sense to me.

Hey Machoor! Thanks a lot for these videos. SF6 is my first fighting game ever and being a Ryu main has been really tough lol. I feel that even at lower levels Ryu players need to know these fundamentals as they don't have any gimmicks or insanely long combos to carry them through. These videos have been really helping!

Such an important concept, I need to force myself to incorporate these so badly. You're losing out on SO MUCH by not having shimmies in your toolbox.
The problem is low level players dont tech that often so its really hard to do shimmy
@@mateusfavarin8698 IMO they're def not high-priority to learn until you get to higher ranks, seems like gold+ in SF6 is where people start teching a lot.
Learn them once you start really struggling with opponents that have decent defense. Until then practice more fundamental stuff.

Thank you and yes try jumping ex ghost on reaction and try jumping the normal ghost also on reaction and hit him with jumping hp early. Wouldn’t work if he uses the feint

I've just had a thought: if you delay tech, you will get you blown up as bad as a blocked reversal in this game. In SFV it was worth it to play defensive because if they shimmied you, you ate FAR less damage than a blocked DP. In SF6 you get a punish counter exactly the same either way. So, my question to you Mr Machoor is: If you're going to delay tech, do you think you might as well OD DP instead because the risk is exactly the same but the reward isn't as good. If you've guessed wrong you will eat the same damage so you've got the same risk to doing it but if you've guessed right then it's fully your turn and not neutral. It's scrubby as hell but might genuinely be the better option in this game. What do you think?
Hey machoor, I feel like you should have talked about the whole shimmy cycle mindgames where wake up low beats shimmies and wakeup buttons beat wakeup lows. (Not just wakeup buttons, wakeup grabs, delay techs and shimmies)
