I feel like Zoe's crush on Marinette wasn't any weirder or out of nowhere than Nino's very brief crush on Marinette back in season 1
I don't think Zoé's feelings for Marinette necessarily came out of nowhere, but I do feel that we didn't see enough of her before this point to actually feel the impact. I think having this knowledge does contextualize some of their interactions - hell, when they first met, Zoé wrote her phone number on Marinette's hand, which is a pretty iconic cliché. Even as Ladybug, despite the fact that Zoé wouldn't know it, their interactions had a certain charm as well
Ultimately, I think what they were going for is that her feelings weren't necessarily full-blown love, but budding feelings that may have developed were Adrien not in the picture. In any case, I wish we got more of a build-up to this, as I actually like Zoé quite a bit; I just wish they did more with her
I'm proud of Zoey for telling marinette how she really feels
I know this episode wasn't perfect but we gotta love it for 2 things
1. Zoe and Marinette relationship where yeah love isn't just romantic but it's nice how this season has been dropping hints about LGBT stuff more then other seasons
2. Gabriel basically turned himself into a meme from that hilarious eerie shot at the end making Adrien not kiss marionette 😂
I think this episode was needed for us to find out that Zoe is in love with Marinette and it was needed for Zoe to stand up to Chloe more and it was needed for Marinette and Sabrina to be brave. Also in the kwami's choice episode there was a sign that Zoe had a crush on Marinette. I like this episode because Marinette finally told Adrien that she loves him but I don't like that Zoe likes Marinette.

Bruh it just hit me! It was foreshadowed that zoey could like girls when she flirted with alya when she was cat noir in part 2 of the transmission episode

I like this episode and here's the Thing with Zoey I think she was like in in love with Marinette much earlier but that turned into more of a friendship/family love type of love cause she knows she loves Adrian so

There was also some hints during this episode that it was Marinette Zoe liked. My favorite one is when Zoe looks around the room, the camera pans around it before it lands on Marinette when Zoe finishes the sentence: “it looks beautiful.”
I agree that romantic love is not the only way to love someone, but it’s implied that Zoe’s feelings was romantic in nature. But ofc that is my own opinion. I’m also biased bc I’m a multi-shipper, so I ship Zoenette as well as Adrienette, Marichat, and Ladynoir

Zoe actually went to Marinette's room before. A strange plot hole yet quite a common one.
nah zoe said she was in love with marinette since they met, it's romantic.
In my opinion. Honestly Zoe could do better. I don't trust Marinette. Considering she still has the chest full of the gifts she made for Adrien for the next 30 years.

I think it's obvious that it was Plagg who helped Zoe become more confident (helped more than Marinette), but since it's a secret (that she was Kitty Noir), she didn't talk about Plagg.
I can't tell that this episode is completely filler, since:
1) This episode shows the progress in Zoe's character, what she has become now and how the events of "Kwami's Choice" have affected her life;
2) As for the fact that Zoe fell in love with Marinette, it doesn't seem strange to me, since for Zoe Marinette was the first person she met in Paris and was kind to her, supported her from the very beginning(after horrible life in New York) and helped her to change for the better and be yourself (Okay the fact that Zoe loves Marinette IS strange and it wasn't necessary to turn this feelings into love (no matter what it is - friendly love or love-love) - but I'm okay with it.
3) But we must admit that it was Zoe who pushed Marinette to finally confess her love to Adrian. As Zoe herself said: She just confessed her love to Marinette and what has changed? Nothing, nothing beyond catastrophic has happened. Don't be afraid, girl. RUN AND TELL HIM AT LAST THAT YOU LOVE HIM. AND AFTER 8 YEARS - SHE FINALLY DID IT! So basically, if Zoe hadn't fallen in love with Marinette then God knows how many more seasons it would have taken for her to finally say: "Adrien, I love you :)"

Marinette did it. She told Adrian that she loved him and that he loved her back. Gabriel makes me so mad this time. His son is dating an awesome girl but he hates her and the reason is unkown even though one factor was Lila and her lies but i think there is another reason. My theory is that Gabriel wants his son in high society but when he found out that his son was dating the baker's daughter he went berserk with anger. This means that Gabriel is a racist when is comes to wealth and social status.
He has a contract with Tsurugi. Maybe Gabriel himself has nothing against relationships between Adrian and Marinette, but he can't go against Tsurugi. But yes, I won't deny it: Gabriel is the worst parent.

I ship Zoe and Marinette! I love this episode (comeback of Vanisher was cool and this ship is life ) . Your reactions are amazing. But I dont agree with you about admiration . I really think that Zoe fell in love with Marinette in romantic way. And I love it
Honestly please don't think I'm weird. But I honestly ship Zoe and Adrien. Thay have a lot in common and I think it could work. 😊 And Plagg helped them both be braver.

There were hints. They just weren't super obvious. Zoe definitely had feelings for Marinette because they used the words "in love with" multiple times in the episode

In Risk episode Marinette is the only one, who see that's something is wrong with Adrien. Tikki says "It's because you love him"
In Kwamis' Choice Zoe was also the only one, who saw there is something wrong with Marinette. That's why also Plagg gave her a Miraculous

I'll be honest. This episode is okay. Not good. Not bad. But Zoe deserves so much better than Marinette. I mean we saw all the gifts for Adrien in that chest again. Marinette. Please. Change!!! I don't know how Zoe can honestly fall in love with Marinette since Marinette is really unstable at times. I mean. What if Zoe did have a crush on Adrien? Would Marinette resort the ways she treated Kagami badly in the past?! I don't know. I just want Zoe safe from Marinette. In my opinion.

While I see what you're saying,
1. Thus situation is different from with kagami before because this time, Marinette and Adrien basically are a couple just without directly saying out loud "we're a couple"
2. The end of the episode literally showed us how Marinette would treat Zoe if she really did like adrien. She basically told Zoe to "go for it"
I mean...the gifts might be weird but they aren't illegal so I personally don't care. And even though Marinette did go psycho on Kagami in the past (and tbh, so did Kagami), I don't believe that would happen here. Marinette basically told Zoe to confess to Adrien if she truly felt that way. She's grown in the fact that her love of Adrien is no longer obsessive and weird.

I absolutely agree with you about the uselessness of this episode, and that adding feelings for Zoey to Marinette is completely meaningless and does not even make sense, literally for the sake of one episode 😟
Not to mention Marinette still has that chest full of gifts for Adrien. Which is very unsettling and creepy.
