This is, hands down, my absolute favorite version of Commissioner Gordon. Chris Meloni nails it as the burnt-out, alcoholic, trigger-happy Gordon.

Clayface can replace and regrow the clay in his body without reclaiming the lost clay. The problem is that his entire body is sentient and because of his particular psychosis, every time he splits off a significant piece, it takes on it's own personality.
One of my favorite episodes from “The New Batman Adventures” is when part of him gets cut off and anthropomorphizes into a little girl
When you think about it, it’s surprising that we have never seen THIS interpretation of Jim Gordon before. After dealing with all of the crazy shit he has dealt with for almost 20 years anyone else would’ve snapped like this in the first 5 years. So surprisingly he’s actually pretty well put together.
Also I’m surprised I haven’t heard more people in online shooter video games quote Jim when he says “I’m gonna fuck you to death with bullets!!!” 🤣🤣🤣
About Pat's question there are definitely more villains than heroes. Just look at how many villains Batman has in Arkham in the first episode of Harley Quinn. Every hero has multiple villains they go up against constantly in their comics.
Yeah: Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel (Shazam), Green Lantern, Aquaman, Supergirl, the Justice League, the Teen Titans...even heroes like the Challengers of the Unknown, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and Firestorm when they have their own titles...they're facing new baddies every issue or so.

23:05 - The Suicide Squad is a "standalone sequel" to Suicide Squad. Same universe, but the story connections are loose enough that you don't need to see the first one to follow along with the second. Peacemaker is more closely related to The Suicide Squad than The Suicide Squad is related to Suicide Squad.
The clayface hand thing is a direct parody of a batman the animated series episode where Clayface creates a kid out of part of himself to spy and it becomes independent.

But even more absurd was Pat with..."Is Batman sad?" Really? No man, he's happy go lucky. That's why he lives alone in a giant mansion, spends much of his time in a cave, dressed in black and is obsessed with the childhood murder of his parents. These are all trademarks of very content people.

There’s like ten different Clayface(s).
The one from the BTAS cartoon Matt Hagen had something similar happening to him with a separate part of clay that gained sentience. It’s one of the best TNBA episodes and the ending is quite dark especially when for the first half of the episode you think it’s about an abusive father looking for his daughter, but then there’s the reveal and Tim Drake/Robin’s reaction.
Once the show is over you guys should check out Batman: Brave and the Bold.

I'm not sure if it's happened in the comics but there's a episode in the Batman animated series where that basically happens. Clayface detaches a piece of himself and it becomes a sentient little girl. It's one of the sader episodes. I think this episode is a callback to that.

This show made ppl like king shark more with vastly change up his personality. Prior he was mostly the one of typical semi dumb muscle villains out of god knows in dc. Later comics he is son of a Hawaiian god and make him more tougher which imo didn’t do much. Harley queen show made him act more human and not dumb while also maintain that he is a shark, he will bite your head off and capable of ripping limbs. Gunn suicide squad kinda took the two. They kept the dumb aspect of king shark but looks wise he is closer to the show here.

The way I felt slapped by Marketa when she answered Navi's question about why they don't like Gordon and she said "he's a cop." Lady, I'm a police officer (not from the US) and I'm a very hard working and polite lady. My heart is broken.

Idk what country you're in, but most police in most countries are part of a corrupt system that enacts violence against the people in support of property, politicians and the rich

police in america won a legal battle that basically said they are here to protect property and assets, not help citizens, so they have no legal obligation to help a citizen if it would put them at risk in any way. and you can see from the whole uvalde situation for how that ends up. tons of cops there and none of them wanted to go in and potentially get shot, so they just stood around and let the shooter go and kill a bunch of people and kids in the school
At least in the US, it's ACAB. No exceptions.
