Chester was a highly versatile vocalist. He's pulled off songs from Motorhead to Pantera, from NIN to STP. He even did a cover if Adele's Rolling in the deep live in London.
The main difference between the audiences back then was that they didn't have camera phones. I saw LP back in 2004 when I was a teen and the most we could do was bring in a disposable camera.

I don't know if you have checked out Metallica, but if you tripped out on this crowd of people, this one will blow your mind. Metallica live in Moscow 1991. Over 1.6 million people. It's insane.

Rock am Ring is a german rock festival. The crowds in Germany or every EU country hits just different. They're always into it and rocking with the band.
Funny fact: In Germany especially LP were/still are like gods, so yeah.. :)
You should react to some Nine Inch Nails! I saw LP do this cover in 2004 and lost my damn mind, NIN is one of my all time faves, along with LP... match made in heaven ❤ Check out NIN early days especially, you can't go wrong.

speaking of covers, have you seen LP's cover of Rolling in the Deep by Adele? it's one of their most popular live performances and for good reason, you should really check it out
If I were to try and guess what song LP would cover not in a thousand years would I ever have come up with Rolling In The Deep but hearing Chester sing it with just Mike on the keyboard.. wow ..he could have sung anything and made it great.
