Thrashing the two priests of the first movie with the "patriarchy" line is unforgivable. They sacrificed their lives to save Regan. Exorcist Believer and its sequels can rot in hell.
@@Jaqua1994 Ellen Burstyn should have rejected that line "I won't say it". I am angry at her, too. Doesn't matter what she did with her salary.
Yes, writers should avoid using words and concepts they don't seem to understand, how embarrassing.
It joins the pantheon of bad feminism written by men. So happy to see every review clone that line cause its so stupid
Does it really warrant that much outrage? It's a stupid line, written by clueless writers. But the priesthood has historically been a patriarchy by definition. That's just a fact. Women traditionally can't be priests and that still holds true in a lot of religion. It's different from 'The Patriarchy' of society which isn't what she necessarily was referring to. She says 'their Patriarchy' not 'the Patriarchy'. Patriarcy in all senses does hurt men too tho. After all, men are the only ones who could do the exorcism. Women wouldn't be allowed to make that sacrifice in Catholicism. Only men. I love the original Exorcist, but I'm not gonna let a stupid requel offend me.
@@KarlHavoc56 It does warrant the outrage. In the original movie, Chris was desperate, completely devastated because there was no one who could help her daughter. These two men were her final hope and they gave their lives. The patriarchy line is complete bs because it is 100% out of character and moronic: Surgeons don't allow bystanders during a surgery. Same goes for an exorcism. Has nothing to do with ideological bs.
The unintended irony behind blaming the 'Patriarchy' is how the moment she faces the demon without the priest, she gets attacked and blinded . So in a way it tells the viewer that ' The Patriarchy ' was right after all . What a stupid script.😅
Indeed
“The guy who made these new ‘Halloween’ is about to make one to my movie, “The Exorcist.” That’s right, my signature film is about to be extended by the man who made “Pineapple Express.” I don’t want to be around when that happens. But if there’s a spirit world, and I come back, I plan to possess David Gordon Green and make his life a living hell"
-William Friedkin, director of the original Exorcist
Well he wasn't wrong tho, the movie came out after he died so that aged pretty well 😂😂
And DGG still had the audacity to say in interviews that he thinks Friedkin would have liked his movie lol
@@victoria_is
I think Friedkin would have hated Believer. He would have been
appalled at what they did to Chris Macneil.
David Gordon Green must hate classics like Halloween and The Exorcist as he cannot wait to destroy both franchises
Im shocked to hear someone say that Leslie Odom Jr's performance was good. It was TERRIBLE! Like everything else about this film. I didnt see him display even ONE emotion! He has one facial expression throughout the entire thing. The one tear that he sheds towards the end was probably CGI'd on! There are many things I could choose that are bad about this film, but I would put his performance very near the top
I was just about to type this....watching him in the final scene was painful. He was emotionally numb through the whole movie
I can't imagine what Ari Aster could do with an Exorcist movie, now we're stuck with DGG for 2 more movies lol.
Maybe not David g green isn’t directing the next two he’s distancing himself probably because the films bombed and hated by most people he’s just saying his schedule may not allow for it and there going to take these remaining 2 films in a different direction they invested 400 million on this trilogy so have to change some things for this not to be the biggest disaster in trilogy history theres going to be a new dir3ctor for the next two films and the stories going to be taking a different direction totally.
Ari Aster would’ve been the premium choice.
David Gordon Green is the worst thing that ever happened to horror
His first film is in the criterion collection and now he's making crappy horror films lol
Green’s cameo in _Bones & All_ is more worthwhile than his horror retcon sequels with Danny McBride.
@niccage6375 As an indie director he is actually very good, but he is not suited for horror and that is ok. Not a single director is suites for every single genre/type of film. Like, I love Scorsese, I really do, but his attempts at doing thrillers is kinda floppy, from and artistically POV. He is simply not suited for the genre
@@aqualcunopiaceclassico3201 Do you mean like Cape Fear for instance? I liked that fine.
@@LinkMarioSamus Cape Fear is ok, but it is no near Scorsese's best film. I was more ferring to Shutter Island and Departed.
David Gordon Green needs to stay the HELL away from horror.
Look at the bright side, Ellen Burstyn used her big salary for this movie to fund a scholarship at Pace University where the community that she's leading is currently teaching acting program in that university so good for her. I guess bad movies came to good intention for her. What an incredible legend she is!!! 🙌
She still deserved a better film to work on than this.
This film might be worse than 'The Wicker Man' 2006 Remake she was in.
@@eamonndeane587 She does deserved better film than this but did something good came out of this movie from her? Well yeah, that big paycheck.
There's charity's that are more important that can use some funding, not some acting school
@@richardr3511Then why don't you fund yourself those type of charity then? 😂
Burstyn is an actress and she has been a long time member of the community so clearly she dedicates a lot for young actors to be as successful as she is in the future
@@15Candles obviously she's an actress, and I don't care about that. Homeless people, animals and people displaced by wildfire or wars are charities worth donating to. Why don't you also?
What I loved about the first film was that regan was still treated like a child during her possession. Chris or the nanny would go in and change her clothes, give her blankets, check on her well-being. It reminded me that there was still a girl inside
Yeah, I feel you Brian !
It’s probably the worst movie I’ve seen of 2023. 😕
Wait for Fincher's The Killer 😂
Had no intention of seeing this anyway, so this more than satisfies whatever curiosity I had ... thanks so much for suffering through it Brian so we don't have to!!
Exorcist III (1990) continues to be the only good Sequel to The Exorcist (1973).
The only thing I can think of for a sequel to this would be them trying to retrieve Katherine’s soul from hell since she was innocent. A la Constantine….idk lol. What a mess.
The director knows NOTHING
about exorcism, and doesn't care.
Why would Chris MacNeil write a book that would implicate Regan as Burke Dennings' killer??? 😣😣😣
She probably left that part out of it lol
Haha this could explain why Regan stopped talking to her
What did you expect? The trailer alone makes you know it is a movie to skip.
A condition of Ellen Burstyn's appearance in the film is that Universal and Blumhouse had to finance an acting scholarship in perpetuity for 72 hours of work. Yes, Brian even with her limited time her appearance could have been used to better effect. Plus, Linda Blair's appearance seems very tacked on. There is no dramatic depth because yes it isn't earned! Gordon Green does Burstyn and her character a great disservice by having her a frail old woman go alone into the room alone with the demon. Chris Macneil could have been portrayed in a better way. She had no hands on experience with Exorcisms so how could she have been any help other than emotional support for the families. Makes no sense! 😢
The only reason why Chris wasn’t allowed in the room is because she was a catalyst to push the plot forward. It like if leia in the first Star Wars jumping into a Xwing and blowing up the Death Star it doesn’t make sense
Ellen Burstyn's inclusion in this movie was unnecessary and her actions/dialogue were just straight up awful. The exorcism scene was also pretty lame, besides the demon giving the parents an ultimatum of choosing between the two girls. But the biggest sin of this movie was the near complete absence of anything shocking or blasphemous on screen. Moments in the original Exorcist are so iconic and still shock to this day. Did the filmmakers or studio not want to offend people??? THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT! Absolutely ridiculous!
I can forgive most things in cinema;......but that line about "the patriarchy" is utterly unforgivable.
The patriarchy:
In the novel the movie is based on, Chris prepares to go in with them during the Exorcism. Father Karras talks her out of it. I seem to recall they didn't want her in there because if Regan died, those moments would be Chris's last memories of her daughter, and she shouldn't be burden with that.
Also, at one point BOTH her female assistant Sharon and Chris herself enter the room. Because the Exorcism was a "force of suggestion," they were advised to continue her regular treatment. Chris goes in to give Regan an injection, but the demon taunted Chris and she left before giving Regan the injection she needed.
Do you really think the hacks who made this movie would have have even made the effort to read the original novel?
Ellen Burstyn was forced into the film, her scenes were shot while they were still making Halloween Ends. They literally only had her for 6 hours, but apparently she was compensated very well, so good on her.
The original Exorcist is written for an intelligent audience. Most movies today assume the audience are idiots. Probably because the writers/ director/ producers are idiots.
What gets me. Is there was no further talk about the tunnel ... was it a door way ? A portal ?
That's the problem with this being a planned trilogy.
It's probably a set up for the sequels, but until then we're left with questions and plot points that go nowhere. They so often think about the long term goals instead of putting the full focus in the project in front of them.
That's my guess anyway.
You know how I knew this movie was going to suck as soon as it was announced? Look at the times we live in. There was NO way they were going to be able to say and do anything CLOSE to as shocking as the original. A sequel is supposed to UP the shock factor. This was never going to work.
It didn't need to up anything. It just needed to be well written lol
Love the videos, man. Keep it up!!!
I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. I saw the movie last night. I was sorely disappointed. I was literally shaking my head in disappointment through the whole movie… I just feel like I wasted my money. I’m a huge horror fan. I love the original exorcist movie. I think I watched it when I was six or seven by myself. I was really hoping this was going to be good it was the exact opposite of good.
And the fact that its all woke, filled with EQUITY. So tired of films shoving this crap down on the viewers. I straight up go up and walked out of the movie theater.
David knows ALL the hate/backlash. One guy tweeted “Not all of us hated it! Suggestion, put Regan front & center next film” & he liked it! I’d be happy if this was Regans/Ellen’s nightmare cliche so we can start over lol 💯😂
same here and I didnt even see it.
Excellent review! My best friend Brian and I just left the theater and we were very disappointed. Very by the numbers, generic, been there, done that! Also, what great disrespect for the great Ellen Burstyn 😢
I loved the first 12 seconds of this video so much I had to rewatch several times. Love your reviews, good AND bad. The Halloween content has been super fun. Wondering, what did you think about The Pope's Exorcist? I had to stop watching.
"The Pope's Exorcist" ? In my humble opinion, as I watched it from the beginning to the end, it was just trash, a total disaster. Nothing scary, nothing worthy to watch and a total waste of time. To me, "The Pope's Exorcist" and "The Exorcist : believer" have a common point : sh*t and/or garbage.
@@conscienceetintuition9350Actually, The Pope’s Exorcist is not a typical exorcist film. It was historically based on a book by a real exorcist and his experiences. If one knows religious history and the history of the exorcist in the film, it’s actually a good film. However, because most people view that film from the typical “possession” film as a horror film, to average eyes, it appears to be “trash”.
I study religious history, including the history of exorcisms via documentary during the Middle Ages etc..
In conclusion, you can’t compare a shitty remake to a classic horror film to a film based on the book of a real historical pope and his experiences with exorcisms.
I knew it 😂.... I did not even bother going to see it.
Everyone: DGG needs to stop making watered down horror films. He needs to go all out with his remakes
DGG makes Halloween Kills
Everyone: Halloween Kills sucks!
😶
No. That Halloween Kills was and is trash!! He went all out by fucking up the film with corny dialogue and weak messages in his film. More like, DGG make your own fucking films! Quit remaking these films that stand on their own feet and has been for over half a century. He should make his own shit! Shitty or great! At least it would be his own! Hollywood is out of ideas!
This movie was a damn waste of my time
The fact we already knew it would be a trilogy kinda did it for me. When u know thats the plan, it takes away some of the excitement. Its sad to think that if elen dies soon, this will go down as her last film roll. I think the nurse being the neighbor maybe could have worked if we had been in her house and saw religious things that hinted to her faith. Then the daughter could have started doing creepy things around her. Idk. As someone from another video pointed out, where did she get this medical equipment from? Lol. I didnt hate this movie but i also did really like it. And i agree with one of the comments here about leslie odom jr's acting. Ive never seen Hamilton so this was my first exposure to him and i was not impressed. Great review and video.
You're telling me David Gordon Green ruined another horror franchise? Oh, no *shock face*
Really enjoyable review from you 🙂🙂

I like how I come home from a movie and a commentary creator or movie critic puts my floating feelings about a movie into words
I like your idea for how Ellen could have been used. Thinking about it then showing up at the end.
Nothing will ever come close to being as great as Exorcist 3!!
I feel your pain brian😮
It feels unauthentic.
It absolutely bashes the meaning and spirit of the original movie. Pazuzu fights an spiritual battle against the priests, using a kid as a way to make them lose faith and strength. It is called "The exorcist" precisely because the main caracter is Karras, not Regan.
I think everybody involved in the project missed the point and was too unconfortable treating catholic faith and a priest personal journey an sacrifice like it was properly made in the original. It is an insult at all levels to the source material.
Sad thing is, this movie could have been good. Like really good. I’m someone who actually liked at least the first two David Gordon Green Halloween films, and I think the general reaction to The Exorcist III shows that you can make a sequel and have it be liked. I think Mark Kermode said it best when he said that it’s a movie made by people who have seen The Exorcist but they’ve never seen The Exorcist.
I think my favorite scene probably when she explains what happen cause u see glimses of the possession went down but over all its an okay movie deff watched worse movies but i deff like this then halloween ends like yeah i can watch this movie again and not fall asleep.
I haven't seen the movie and I totally agree with you. Making Chris stupid was so wrong!!
Your not missing nothing it’s a terrible film lol 😂😂😂😂
Her character in the original was a very talented, tough and intelligent woman. She was not a typical woman of that time period. Such a shame that this sequel has her being so reckless.
David Gordon Green must hate classics like Halloween and The Exorcist as he cannot wait to destroy both franchises
Whatever possessed whoever the director was, to make this dud ?!?!
I watched last night for FREE of course and it was absolute garbage. I expected it to be garbage because its the same crew that destroyed Halloween lol. What a crew.
Halloween 2018 was a hot mess. So it’s no surprise.
Many people are fans of HALLOWEEN 2018 and that's fine, but for me it's a total disaster. I skipped "KILLS" & "ENDS" because I couldn't stand "2018!"
The exorcism scene reminds me of the one from "This is the End". A bunch of idiots standing around doing what they think they should do... but totally without a clue. "The power of Christ compels you!" "Oh, does it? Should I be compelled? Does the power of Christ compel me???"
So what you're saying is...Ellen Burstyn just bought a beautiful new beach house!
I was suspicious the second they announced they were making a direct sequel, then worried when like Halloween, it would be a trilogy. Why why why? The only decent sequel is not even really a sequel - it is Legion and the studio insisted on a big exorcism scene at the end, together with threadbare connections to the original. I am not surprised at how bad this is being reviewed, not for a bit. I agree here that Chris MacNeill should not have been interested in helping, initially anyway and to appear near the end. In her scene with Karras in the original she says she knows her daughter and she knows that 'that thing upstairs is not her. Very powerful and emotive... perhaps the father of the girl could have said something similar that would get to Chris. The studios have too much say in matters - cos it's all business and box office. As a result, story goes out the window and what you have is another generic possession movie. Why bother calling it a sequel at all - it might have been better received. Not a movie but the series The Exorcist introduced Chris and Regan in a much better way. I was surprised and bought into the idea much more.
The disposal of the Catholic priest was HILARIOUS
There were numerous scenes which were flat out hilariously dumb.
The body and the blood scene in the church was the stupidest thing I have ever seen.
I knew this would be bad lol.
I love your videos. More please!
DAVID G GREEN is NOT directing the next two films
An ongoing theme I've heard in all the reviews and critiques I've seen thus far in regards to this movie are that the first half is pretty damn good, close to outstanding even! Then about 40 mins in it takes a dive into a huge dumpster fire!
Bad casting choices. The kids especially
I am what you call an obsessed individual about the 1973 movie, the exorcist. I saw the Believe version and again was totally disappointed. I hundred percent agree with your opinion of this letdown movie. You're right about the first 40 minutes, were really interesting, and then the downward motion began. They really went fast, like this movie was in their way of something david would have wanted to do instead of this movie. There was no alone time with the parents or even the church family, their pastor, and the little girl. There was no contest between the demon, (well it did not really look like a demon, I have no idea what that was, I didn't understand the entire meaning of the scene) and their parents, pastor and what have you. The exorcising of the whatever was going on didn't make sense either. What happened in Haiti, the part where they were speaking over the mother, seemed like voodoo, then during the last scene they bring in the same person to use voodoo on the 2 girls, which really did not make any sense whatsoever. Then Chris, became a self-taught exorcist, I think? and told one of the little girls, "in the name of??" just pissed off the thing, and it decided, aww, to hell with your eyes! Why?? I asked?? The director did nothing good with the Halloween trilogy, except make me wait years for the continuation of nothing but pure crap. Oh by the way, the second exorcist already has a title, it's called the exorcist deceive, it will be out in 2025, in which, I will not waste money or time going to the movies and enduring their high-priced drink, popcorn, and long as lines, when I can watch it at home, so that's my plan. Not worth going to the movies for pure crap.
Did one of them die? Cant remember, off to see the original soon ,David Gordon Green cant go the toilet never mind direct 🤔
I thought Lesleys character was kinds monotone in his emotions and facial expressions and doens't really feel like he has character development, just suddenly after all the weird stuff believes or something
I watched the original movie and that line about the patriarchy is so damn ridiculous
The Exorcist as originally concieved was a novel/movie heavily steeped in cathlolic conceptions on the nature of evil and it's hardly surprising that Hollywood as it exists today is unable to carry the story forward without completely destroying the franchise. I hope the studio loses an arm and a leg in releasing this abomination. The film might have worked as just another servicable possession film had it tried to tread its own path rather than ride the coat tails of what was an amazing piece of cinematic history. The sequels will be intersting to say the least.
I could have written a better script at the age of 13 on 5 bottles of cough syrup, what the fuck is with these writers man? Why do you get to make movies and not me?
I have been waiting for this…let it rip.
So, 400 million spent on rights? Smart move....from the guy at Universal who sold it.😂
Was there anyone around who legit thought this was going to be good?! 😂
One thing we can confidently conclude about Exorcist: Believer after the blinding attack on Chris McNeill: the patriarchy was right.
Keep the Karens out of the possessed girl's room. Now go make Satan a sammich.
I've never seen you so despondent... I am very concerned.
I was going to give TEB a try but not after this review. I even watched Exorcist (The version you never saw) DVD for the umpteenth time in preparation.
I appreciated the efforts in the first half of the movie to replicate some of William Friedkin's stylistic choices in "The Exorcist." As long as the movie remained sort of quiet, I thought it was OK.
But as it descended into splatter, action and "shock," it really lost me. The filmmakers pretended they had the confidence to make a more subtle movie until they dived headlong into silliness.
Honestly, the thing that annoyed me the most, by far, is the movie's complete misunderstanding of religion and the importance of one specific religion's notions (the Catholic Church; I'm not a member, indeed, I'm an atheist) to the original's success.
The incredibly stupid, warm-n-fuzzy, pluralistic "exorcism," complete with a blatant dismissal of Catholicism (again, not a Catholic!), demonstrated how out of touch the filmmakers are. There is, to put is imply, zero chance that clergy from conservative Protestant, Catholic, charismatic/fundamentalist and "root religion" would so blithely agree to a circle-jerk group exorcism. Just astounding that they tried to foist that off on audiences.
I do think the acting from the girls, specifically the character Angela was well done. Other than that I agree with everything you said
Biggest problem with this film is definitely the director David Gordon Green who I think did very little with the Halloween franchise except make it more violent. He has no deftness, no strong visual sense and no idea how to keep a movie interesting. A few rewrites and a much better director would have worked. Such a disappointment to see the brilliant Burstyn treated so shabbily.
I've heard nothing but bad reviews but I still really wanna see it haha
So it's not anywhere near as good as the original from 1973. What a shock not. Saw the original in the movie theater in 1973 when I was 13 y.o. and it scared me silly. William Friedkin won an Oscar for the French Connection and he directed The Exorcist a few years later. Obviously a great director makes a big difference.
David Gordon Green’s major weakness is character development when it comes to iconic legacy characters. And he never fully understands the movie that he’s making. Lazy writing and lazy directing. Halloween Kills was awful and now he’s managed to screw up another iconic franchise.
He is spot on in this review. I think that they should have used Chris during the exorcism and not in a hospital bed! She was too smart to wander into that room alone. It was chaotic from then on. They really could have benefited from less people during the exorcism. Also the story of how the possession really matters. Like how did these girls summon a demon with a pendulum and was that abandoned ruin in the middle of the woods meaningful??! It could of been so much better 😭
I have to disagree with Leslie Odem Jr. being the best part of this movie. He was emotionally numb throughout the whole movie. There was absolutely no range.
My fiance and I saw this movie on Friday. I kept warning him that it wasn't getting good reviews, but he didn't want to listen. When we left the theater, my fiance said, "the more I think about the movie, the more I don't like it."
I will say one of the most effective lines in the movie was when the demon was mocking the line from the first movie the power of Christ compels you! That gave me a laugh
How did they get Burstyn to go along with this storyline?
Money.
The Exorcism scene in the Conjuring, which is not even an exorcism movie, is far scarier than this. I'm with you. It was awful.
Please just say “fuck”. We won’t be offended.
I get the sense David Gordon Green is bored with the horror films he is being asked to make and is purposefully just f%&cking with them so no one will ask him to make another one
I might be the only one who actually hated "HALLOWEEN 2018."
It's hockey, they focused on his mask soooo much it was clearly fan fiction. They treat it like the mask in the movie "THE MASK." the scary scenes were laughable and the funny moments fell flat. No offense to the films many fans BTW.
I skipped "KILLS" and "ENDS"
HALLOWEEN is one of my favorite horror films. "THE EXORCIST" is one of my all-time favorite films. After seeing the trailers, I was convinced, "this is gonna be trash!"
Was very excited when I first heard about this sequel. Decided to check out some Google reviews. The one star review posted was actually some idiot reviewing the original classic and giving it one star! It really sounds as if the director completely missed the mark with what would motivate the Chris McNeil character. She would never make any sort of negative remark towards the priests. I remember her being very thankful and almost indebted to the church and their priests for saving her daughter and for their sacrifice. It doesn't even seem that this director understood the character, what motivated her and what type of woman she was and became after her daughter's exorcism. Also, doesn't make any sense that Chris and Regan would be estranged over Chris writing a book. From this review it sounds as if the director took a great opportunity and pissed it away. I'll probably not make any great effort to watch this movie now, but if it comes out on one of my subscribed streaming services I may view it then. Such a shame and disappointment.
First of all this new movie should have absolutely nothing to do with the old one. There was no need for it also for someone to believe that Chris McNeil had not spoken to her daughter Reagan for many years just because Chris wrote a book about their ordeal, if everything that they went through in the movie the original exorcist did not destroy their relationship. How the hell is her writing a book going to do that this movie was just very forced did not like it, and the quick ending were Linda Blair shows up to hold her mother‘s hands it just felt like they called Linda up on the phone and said hey, do you want to fill in for a few minutes, I enjoyed seeing her because I like Linda Blair, but it was just not working for me. This movie was terrible.
I always watch the reviews before giving 1cent to Hollywood for trash movies. Thanks for the review brother.
When is David Gordan Green's
next comedy coming out?
After watching the movie I couldn't help but to say this. Contary to your opinion Leslie Odom's acting felt absolute poor to me. He was wooden faced most of the possession scenes. How can you be remain stoic when your beloved daughter going through worst experience of her life. His eyes didn’t coveyed pain. This was one of the worst acting I had seen in a Hollywood mainstream film in a while.
It could have been any other film - didn't even need to be linked to The Exorcist at all.
I think the 1973 demon kid who is a grown up now is gonna take her mothers place and they just make kind of the same movie again
And just recently David Gordon Green has exited the planned trilogy so who knows now? But yes sadly a flop just like alot of films with hype have suffered. See disney/marvel/star wars/etc
A total disappointment. It could have been written so much better. I am MAD about Ellen Burstyn being absolutely wasted. Gah!
The movie was not bad, though also not scary. The trailer was the entire movie though
The reason they have two girls is because Hollywood is too afraid to have just a white character anymore so they make sure they are being “inclusive” in every way. It’s in every movie and every show. There are usually a multitude of different ethnicities in such a way that it’s forced and there’s almost always a trans person as well. The inclusion is forced and unnatural. It’s ok if there is a group a friends that are white it’s not racist. This is such a strange thing and has only become really big and forced in the past decade because of politics, the media, and woke Hollywood. Movies are no where near as good as they used to be because of this crap. It’s annoying and now it’s predictable at this point. No one wants to be able to predict a movie. That takes the fun of watching it out of it. We have to boycott Hollywood and the media until they start to produce good work and choose actors because of talent and not because they check a box.
OK bigot boy. You don't know what woke means either which is not surprising in the slightest.
Did you notice how unlikable the white family was and how sympathetic you feel for the black family ?!
Usual crap of the day. Black mermaid Spanish snow white blah blah blah. Hollywierd for you
Exactly even mentioning gets you into trouble.
I definitely noticed that in this movie. AND in Evil Dead Rise....there is a clause in hollywood movie contracts now
Exorcist II: The Heretic is actually a visionary film with profoundly mystic ideas and images-a corrective to the horror mechanics of the abysmal Friedkin film.
this review is spot on.
10:43 "and they have a chat in her kitchen area" lol
The “patriarchy” line alone was enough for me to never watch this film.
I couldn’t agree more but for me one of the weakest part was leslie odom jr performance stoic one note throughout the movie while hiding something in his mouth.
