    I love my 2003 C32 AMG - I've done every mod under the sun, and it sits properly low on the ground. I highly recommend doing coilovers, as the C32 front suspension was wayy too high. Something that was fixed for the later M113 C55 W203. Pushing 430 at the wheels, and at 3400lb's it really is a baby AMG any M113k should be afraid of.

I’m so glad I got one of these over the e46 m3 I was always intending to get as my daily....... this thing is a joy to drive every day. Keep the C32, C55's are overpriced. C32's also have the supreme-upgradability. Put a 64mm pulley on the blower, you won't look at those other cars again, they'll be behind you.

    • @BaldManMotors
      @BaldManMotors  Před 3 lety +2

      Congrats, great question. I think that changing it now certainly would not hurt it, I think most people change around 100k. I plan to change every 30k miles but opinions on that vary greatly.

    I’m looking at a 2003 silver c32 amg with 90k miles 1 previous owner mint condition. He replaced the fuel pump acouple years ago or the transmission issue that they have. i don’t remember exactly. New tires, with (factory compressor) everything works. He wants 7 for it can probably get it down alittle maybe 6.5 or lower. Just wondering if it’s a good deal or not? I’m thinking yes. Or do I need more info about?

    • @BaldManMotors
      @BaldManMotors  Před 3 lety

      Sounds like a great deal to me, as long as mechanically good I think it is a good deal. Here in Florida I see most are really high miles selling 6.5 to 7 so 90k miles is great. Good luck!👍2003 is a good year too, if it's late year model it may even have engine plaque.

    How's the transmission? Is it pretty snappy? I had a W211 E350 and it was painfully slow to downshift. Hopefully the AMG magic in the C32 is a different story

    • @JeremyMilligan1024
      @JeremyMilligan1024 Před 2 lety

      The 'Speedshift' 722.6 is vary strong, it GETS SO MUCH BETTER with blue-top solenoids from the SLR McLaren 722.6 variant. Visit a good transmission shop and replace the conductor plate and the solenoids. My rebuilt 722.6 snaps the 1-2, hits the 2-3 HARD, and hits the 3-4 shift even HARDER. I rev-match on downshifts and the transmission NEVER gets lazy.

      Hey man I appreciate the reply. I am talking about the C32 specifically though. Yes, you can have the dust filter replaced with one utilizing activated charcoal. But the W203 also has dedicated activated charcoal filters accessed through the interior.

    • @BaldManMotors
      @BaldManMotors  Před 3 lety +1

      My gut says the Lexus would be more reliable and have cheaper maintenance costs, AMG would be a bit faster depending on Lexus year and in my opinion the AMG will go up in value whereas the Lexus will depreciate. I have yet to do 0-60 test on my c32 but I know it is reported to be in the high 4's to low 5's. I also think price is a huge consideration the C32 at 5k can keep up with many newer cars at 5x the costs. It is not much slower that my 06 E55 Hope this helps, kinda tough question ;)

Dope vid, dope car (I love mine also) also, do you have the AC blower motor in the armrest? You went too fast but mentioned rear passengers and the vents. Mine has an actual blower motor controlled by the vent thumb wheel at the rear. Kinda odd, but cool no less.

      @@BaldManMotors I appreciate the response. Looking forward to the video. I have as an option right now a very clean 02 C32 with about 110k miles on it. Very clean with record service history since 2016. Asking price on that is $12k, which is high even on today market’s standards. I was looking at a 05 C55 with 82k miles, not as extensive service record history but significant enough to tell that the car was well maintained. Asking price on that was $14,900, I offered $11K. That sold last week :(

    • @BaldManMotors
      @BaldManMotors  Před 2 lety

      @@emilionavamorales9231 TLDR is the C55 is usually more long term reliable and also well loved M113. The C32 is easier to mod for more power so if that is your goal, I would go that route. If your goal is long term reliability then I would suggest the C55 as they made numerous improvements to the W203 platform in those years. Also if you are wishing to get a C32 then I would try to get a 03 or 04 as they fixed a few issues and I believe even got an engine plaque :) I raced my C32 and C55 head to head and it really depended on who got the hit, C55 has a tune and C32 had airbox upgrade. With a pulley the C32 would likely be faster. That C55 sounded like a better deal though both are on the high end. A 148K C32 is on eBay right now for $7500 and even that may be a bit high. I would recommend a C55 overall but I am V8 biased. Hope this helps some.

      @@OctaneAndAsphalt I had decent reliability for when I owned mine, sometimes people have electrical issues, I would say get an 03 or 04 as they fixed some earlier model problems like cams and such. More reliable than my W211 E55, about the same as W210 E55 for me. I would have kept mine if the deal to trade it for a C55 hadn't come up.
