- SORRY ABOUT THE LIGHTING!
I picked up the Klock Werks 10" windshield today. Total game-changer. Significant difference over the 10" OEM windshield that I originally picked up when I bought the bike. 11/10 would recommend.
More changes coming to the bike this year (finally), as well as a trip to Montana. Super excited about that. Stay tuned to see 'em.
$4500 just for a cam? That’s bat shit crazy high. Should be 4 to 5 hours labor ($600 to $750) plus cost of the cam. Add $500 for the dyno tune and you are just under $2k. How does the stealer justify $4500?
No doubt.
The cam & chest kit (S&S 475C) I was quoted runs about $1,430 on J&P/Dennis Kirk.
I had them add in an air cleaner (~$450), and a new TTS tuner (~$600).
Just parts would've had the job at $2,480. Labor is $110/hour. If we put the whole job at 8 hours (not sure if that's actually what was quoted) for cam replacement + dyno, we're adding another $880.
Even with all that, the job would be at $3,360-not the $4,500 I was quoted.
Just ordered one, bit worried my 6.5 risers and high bend bars might hit on full lock 🤔 might have to roll bars back a bit. Great video, thanks for sharing 😎
Interesting point you make because that is something I noticed after I made this video. With the stock risers/bars/mirrors, full lock causes the mirrors to hit the windshield. I was a little annoyed by that, but overall, I feel it's a small nuisance for how awesome the windshield is. I plan on doing the 9.5" TSC risers with pullback. Hoping the pullback will be enough to prevent that from happening. If it still does, I'll end up buying a different set of mirrors.
Did it end up hitting? Or did it cleared?
@@ironrider8836 I haven’t had a chance to install the screen yet, but I have had the bike finished, with the new risers and bars. Hopefully I will get a chance over the next few days. We are in winter here and the weather has been terrible to even work in a garage 🤔 cheers 🍺
Finally installed the 10 inch Klock Werks, so, I have 6.5 inch risers and 5 inch High Bend Bars and LED Custom Dynamic mirrors. On full lock, everything clears, with the mirrors very close with only 1 inch to spare 😊
Photos or videos of your set up?
How do you like the klockwerks after getting some time with it? Head buffeting?
@@fvgc454ss No, head buffeting is very minimal, if any, at any speed, I’m only 5 8, so it takes a bit of getting used to as it’s very close to my eyeline view. It also looks better. A heap of protection 😎
@@Akaroa_Pilot does the recurve are the top affect your vision? I'm 6'2" had a clearview medium n buffeting at hwy speed was worse than stock
Could you give a actual measurement top to bottom seems tall for a 10 inch, Thanks
What is like at 70 mph?
Best you can get from the aftermarket scene. I've done 1000+ mile days with this windshield at 70+ MPH and didn't have any significant grievances.
I noticed more helmet buffering with the HD 10” on the highway. Does the Klock Works help with that any better?
I haven't spent much time riding with a helmet at highway speeds with the Klock Werks shield yet, but I definitely feel the pocket of air is more calm in almost all riding conditions.
So did I. Really pissed me off.
@rebelsroguesco any thoughts after having some time on it with that 10" klockwerks? Head buffeting at hwy speeds?
Check out my review on the klock werks 10
they should flare the sides
You wanna sell the sissy bar?😂
