I would've put the battle of B-R5RB at #1. Over 7,000 REAL players, and costing in real money over $300,000. That is absolutely devastating. A lot of rage quitting, keyboard smashing, and possibly a suicide over such a huge high stakes battle.

And then not that long after we got M2-XFE and a few others that made B-R5RB look small in comparison. Every other game on here is player vs a shit ton of NPCs and no real stakes beyond some time. EVE was thousands of actual people, no NPCs at all, very real stakes in terms of control of space in the middle of a much larger war, the significant time (21 hours), the insane loss of ships and capital investment... plus trying to explain to people that all of this had to be coordinated in real time around the world by players and fleet commanders consulting with coalition and alliance leadership and defense departments (actual people in elected or appointed positions etc). The insanity that is EVE is nearly impossible to convey. I'm naught but a humble gas huffer, but even I felt the effects 50 jumps away from the war as market prices soared when the sides began trying to reconstruct fleets and suddenly everyone is on the hunt for specific things to meet the demand to rebuild.

In some corporation you need to have an interview with the corp leader to join their corp. This is to ensure the person isn't a spy or trying to sabotage the corp.
Everything in the game require spreadsheet. You want to buy a ship from your corp/alliance mate? Make a spreadsheet of stuff you want to buy. Want materials to build something? Spreadsheet. Selling stuff? You know what comes next.

It's not. Because you don't. All ships in game are built in game. Paid for with an in-game currency called ISK. The reason people keep saying you pay real money for the ships is that there is an item called PLEX that can be bought for real world money. This can be used to sub accounts, buy skins or account services, and can be sold to players in game for in game currency. You can figure out a supposed real world cost for the ships by using the PLEX to in-game currency conversion. But no one actually buys ships with real money. I wish people would actually do research instead parroting the same nonsense over and over. And that is posted toward the channel. Not you, the person I'm replying to.

They can't be bought with real currency. You can buy the ingame premium currency, then sell it for the ingame regular currency. That's how they put a $ value on ships. I doubt gameranx did their research on the materials required to craft said ship and converted it to a $ value, they probably just googled someone else's work and called it a day. You can also get it for free with time invested, but due to the skill system and required amount of play, and required amount of accounts to farm, process materials, research bps, craft ships, and pilot them and fund those accounts through ingame currency would be astounding.
IIRC when titans came out, it took over a year before the first one was made.

EvE is definitely the most insane. You're talking about 7500~ ACTIVE, individual players. Seriously, a 128 player map is considered HUGE, let alone 7500. Note: it took 21 hours for it to be over because the game was under time dilation. Basically, there were so much players involved, and so much computing power required that the game had to be slowed down. It's like if you have a 1000+ part ship in KSP, you have to use the cheat engine's speed hack to lower the game speed so it would at least be playable. This way, Instead of getting 1 frame per second, you would get 15 frames per second, but the game time is 15 times slower or something like that.

I’m surprised the bloodbath in eve didn’t take number 1.
Numerically it had the most people, not npc’s but people in a fight that went on for a real day. And the number of ships he says were lost doesn’t even touch what actually was lost.
He mentioned all the capital class ship losses, but not the sub capital losses which were way higher in number and you must have a player in them for them to be present in the fight

In terms of realism for team work, using the geography of the map, diversity of troops and roles for each class, armour and aircraft that work together for attacking and defending bases in its scale is unmatched. You really do feel part of a large army trying to take the continent. I can say that I would not be surprised at all if battles routinely move into the thousands of players, with the addition of Player-made bases and the Bastion Skycarriers the shear scale and scope of the battles daily are immense.

Definitely nowhere near the scale of the battles in this video, but one of my best memories from an online game actually came from ESO. Me and a full party of friends came across, and participated in of course, a massive battle that was taking place at an outpost. It was such an inconsequential battle for the PvP campaign, but there were easily 200+ players there and the battle lasted hours, and it was a blast. Players from all alliances just duking it out over something so small. And while defending it, just seeing people get oil dumped on them, and rocks from trebuchet's flying over, and then fighting inside the building itself after the battering ram knocked down the door, and then rinsing and repeating because we kept repairing the door. Loads of fun.
Sad thing is, I literally never even saw a battle to that scale at a proper Fort, and though I really don't play ESO much anymore, still haven't to this day.

He went ahead and moments later came running back, yelling for help, with a massive hoard of horned critters on his tail. You unlocked the final forms of their weapons to their “legendary” name and appearance by actually forcing events to “accurately” play out their version on the actual field. It was nuts, but INSANELY gratifying. The character and their weapon specific battles had to be fought for this or…the list goes on. Point is, you were rewarded for going the extra effort. ❤️‍🔥

You gotta use the environment to your advantage (some hordes are in areas with at least 1 narrow path), you’re going to be using a lot of throwables, explosives, and bullets, and you gotta run and gun. Again, you don’t have a choice but to do that if you want to take them out. There’s one horde you’re definitely going to want to take out because it’s near one of the Checkpoints (this is something I found out the hard way. Very early into the campaign. I eventually took it out, but still. I wasn’t expecting a horde to be there). Like I was so unprepared for it that I had an easier time taking out the horde that’s at the college you eventually go to. But the one at the sawmill? I don’t know if I do or don’t ever want to go through that again. And I was at least somewhat prepared for it. The problem wasn’t my skill, it was not having enough resources to make the maximum amount of every single explosive and throwable you can carry. I was especially conservative with rags because you need them for at least 3 or 4 items that you can craft.

One game I'd love people to know more about, is Conquerors blade. It is VERY similar to mountain blade, but online. You are a commander which commands a set of troups ranging from just 8 troops(Berserkers) to large amounts of units like village watchman of 32 units. In a big 15v15 player battles for regular sieges. It's set in a medieval setting and there is an open world aspect where you can capture, attack and defend fiefs for your house/Alliance. A house can be up to 100 people and an alliance has up to 300 people from 3 seperate houses. I've seen battles in earlier seasons of roughly 1200 people fighting it out over multiple fiefs(Cities/Gates/Capitals/Villages/Forts) and really doesn't have the same kind of branding alot of these other games have, I'd highly recommend it!

Anybody who knows where The Citadel is in Planetside 2, specifically the map I'm referencing, knows that this particular map is always the most hotly contested, as the center territory of this map is only accessible via air drops and landing craft. It sits on a plateau and is virtually impossible to access on foot or by land vehicle, so it always has fighter aircraft cruising over it at max altitude and SPAA and MANPADs patrolling around it.
One particular month some years back, I was involved in a battle there that saw hundreds of fighter aircraft from the TR (Red) and NC (Blue) factions duking it out while landing aircraft and aerial gunships dropped thousands of infantry onto the plateau. This particular battle saw a massive player rotation, one that I'm fairly certain no one had realized the scale of at the time, and it raged for several days with no clear idea of who would win that battle. At several points during this battle, it would spill over into the neighboring territories as each side would attempt to push the other's anti-air assets off the borders of the plateau.
I was personally involved in the largest tank engagement at this battle, with something like 300 tanks per side fighting for the North side of the plateau. I'd say this particular engagement saw around 1200-1500 players per side.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great moment of the game, but in terms of scale compared to some things on this list? I'd say there were like 50 enemies, compared to 1000+ on the list.

The series of battles and conflicts that followed the massive upheaval of power in Starwars Galaxies. For years the rebels dominated because people just generally preferred being the good guys and neutral was also a popular option. Then the empire actually got organized and seized control on nearly every server.

You have the battle of Garred Mach in Fire Emblem Three Houses, which feels big because of the whole build up leading to that moment and holds up as one of the best strategic battles from recently released games. Personally from a single player point of view a special mention has to go to Medal of Honour Frontline’s first mission, absolute masterpiece when it was released and felt like a huge battle as you storm the beach.

The sheer scale of planetside 2, when you realize how hands on it is, feels insane. And it happens CONSTANTLY. Like, you could log in on a weekend and easily find yourself in a battle consisting of several hundreds of people easily. Hundreds of infantry rushing around and inside bases, long tank coulombs moving up, positioning and and firing while engineers repair and support them from the back, transport aircrafts dropping more players down from above as tens of fighters duke it out in the air. And it's all individual players controlling everything. It's the closest a video game can ever get to simulating the sheer scale of a battlefield and it's magnificent.

The largest battle i had in mount and blade 2 was a battle in wich both army's had almost every soldier of their empire/kingdom in it. I led an army of 2.8K strong against a slightly bigger force of 3K. It was for real the most deciesive battle i ever had, the army that would come on top could just easely go to any town and castle and take it because the enemy had nothing left to defend it with.
Of course at the end around 13 lords and ladys had perished in the fighting wich is a pretty big deal.

The hordes of heartless in Kingdom Hearts 2, and the bout in Kingdom Hearts 3, with not only heartless, but nobodies, and unversed as well, really push the envelope of what's possible on their respective generations. I believe in either game, if you go to the outskirts of the play area, and look closely, some of the enemies are actually in a lower resolution, and frame rate.

    - Mount and Blade
    - Viking: Battle for Asgard (Whenever you get past the godawful stealth sections)
    - Any of the bigass furball missions in Ace Combat or Project Wingman where it's nothing but a slugfest between fighters
    - Older Call of Duty games like 2 or Big Red One.
    - Battle for Earth in Mass Effect 3
    - Tip of the Spear in Halo: Reach
    - Decent chunks of the Warhammer 40k Space Marine campaign.
    - Siege Battles in Assassin's Creed Valhalla (idk if it was out when this video released and I'm too lazy to check)
    - Siege battles in For Honor
