You have gotten so good on those drums! I'm seriously impressed. BTW, I'm loving that native design purple print shirt. I hear you on "don't like the way I look." It's difficult to break away from society's reinforcement that we ought to look a certain way, and then we beat ourselves up for no good reason. I really wish we had no awareness of "how" we look, aside from healthy, so we could just focus on living. Sending good energy. You be you, girl.

I like using a splitting wedge and a sledge hammer for splitting logs.

I have had long hair like yours my whole life. A few times I've gone for bangs forgetting that they need maintenance. Learning how to trim them yourself is totally within your abilities and should help.
You can also grow them out by using various ways if keeping them hidden. My favorite was a scarf holding them back like a head band. Either choice, you don't have to do the hairdresser thing if you don't want to.

A tide table for the area ia a no brainer for anyone who wants to spend time on the beaches up in Northern BC. The tides swing from 0 feet to 24+ feet as a maximum.

I can relate to what you said about not always being happy about how you look on camera. I have had one picture of me in over fifty years. I refuse to be photographed. This was such a satisfying video. I love that you had adventures but no big scares. I love seeing Flossie, happy as a little duck in the water. Your fires are the best! And it was wonderful to see you two sucking on crab legs. Your handdrumming over the crackling fire was very beautiful. I really appreciate you being real about the decision to just not deal with the uninspired footage you shot, and struggling with critical feelings about your body. You are truly lovely, and don't believe for a minute that you have to be a Barbie to be beautiful. Plus you're so loving, so strong, so capable, so damn tenacious and brave. You've got it going in so many ways that are important and admirable. .

I have very similar thoughts and feelings. I find myself editing footage I don't even want to use. I'm only editing it because I shot it. Also, I don't appear in any of my own videos because I don't like how I look.

Amanda. You look fine on camera! Your new bangs and healthy cut. Your hair looks great and you have very healthy rosy natural skin!
Instead of using an ax, it's much safer to use a sledgehammer combined with three or so steel wedges that you can Hammer into a block of wood until it splits, that way you're not swinging around a blade. It's so much safer.
The crackling of the fire and your melodic drumming was dreamlike. This was an epic video! Amanda you are a true artist.
I'm sure you can find more affordable axes but Gränsfors Bruk axes are the best.
