How to spray paint Motorcycle Forks
I really wanted to Polish the forks on Scarlett.
The beautiful thing about aluminum is it polishes up like chrome, but alas this was not meant to be because the pitting on her forks was very bad and very deep.
So after weeks off sanding down the forks with wet and dry sandpaper from 240 grit to 1200 grit, she was ready to receive her coat of primer.
I used an Etch primer that has an Etch acid as part of its ingredients this acid helps the primer bond well to aluminum and provide a very stable key for the paint which you will see in the next video
